  • In this timelapse video you'll see workers, riprap stone, and a shoreline built before your eyes, but something's missing. Where are the trucks, Bobcats, barges, or other pieces of heavy equipment for transporting stone?
If you look closely in the middle of the screen, you'll see piles of stone suddenly appear. You'll also see a construction chute right above those piles. Turns out all we need is a construction chute: a long, corrugated tube that allows us to drop stone, sand, and other materials wherever we want. The chute is one trick in a large bag of tricks that allows us to build a beautiful, erosion-resistant shoreline just about anywhere. We can build shorelines at the bottom of a steep hill, or in other areas off-limits to heavy equipment.
In 25+ years of building the toughest shorelines money can buy we’ve never come across a shoreline that we weren’t able to build or restore due to a lack of equipment access. We always establish a beachhead, so we can always do the work we need to do. Find out more about our chute technique here: lakeshoreguys....
