The power imbalance gets me every time!! This was a good watch, but now i want to rewatch these shows. You could also do one on tropes they over-rely on, i may be alone on that feeling.
@DramaLlamaApp let's go!!! How about the I'm not gay, I just love you; the I'm a top, so I'm sexual but your a bottom, so your not; the hey, who is the top who is the bottom lets over-focus on it; the let's not communicate about this thing that would take all the confusion out of our relationship; the time jump with a breakup; and as an Stan for VegasPete, we cant forget the abuse, be mean, or hurt me being totally forgiven because I fell in love with you. These live in my head rent free, What are your thoughts, am I alone in these?
This was very entertaining! Loved reminiscing with all the clips. I think my top tropes would be: Fake Dating Forced Cohabitation Soulmates/ Destined Lovers Hidden Identity/ Double Life Is ‘Magical Realism’ a trope? If so, then that would be on my list too ✨✨
When Topher popped up and correctly informed Shawn that it IS "Step-Brother Boyfriends" I burst out in laughter at my job. Luckily, I am the only one in the office today, but still. Taiwan clearly is the top country that knows how to produce those types of BLs.
That was so satisfying to watch! Agree with all you said, and I do like some of those tropes a lot, others less so. I did miss I Told Sunset About You when you mentioned the childhood friend trope. You including Chinese „Blomance“ was nice, too. (No, it’s not a typo.) Kudos!
With all due respect to the actors of Lovesick 2024, thank you for featuring the original actors White and Captain. My favorite tropes are characters on the opposite sides of the financial spectrum falling in love against all odds, and characters with a huge age gap, with the much younger one being the aggressive chaser while the older one is cautiously keeping him at bay haha
It’s #StepbrotherBoyfriend, Shawn!! 👀👀
We can’t argue with the facts 🤣🤣
Not the “stepbrother boyfriends” ☠️😂
We don’t make the rules🤷🏻♂️😂
Not Me is such an underrated series. And they left enough of the storylines open ended that. I’d love to see a second season or a special episode
Not Me is a masterpiece. I’ll die on that hill 👏🏼👏🏼

Oooh, please go on…we’re always looking for new video ideas 😁💙
And yes, a good boss and employee dynamic will get us almost every time😁😁
Ooh yes! I love the idea of an overused trope video. The episode 11 breakup just so they can make up in episode 12 is one of see a lot of early on
That’s a great suggestion! I know I’ve found myself growing tired in the past of the series breaking the main couple up just to break them up

My soul left my body with The Untamed and Guardian ❤❤❤
Excellent list with a love of classic back in time bl and news ones.
Thank you so much! Yes, we love our Chinese classics 😍😍😍
This was very entertaining! Loved reminiscing with all the clips. I think my top tropes would be:
Fake Dating
Forced Cohabitation
Soulmates/ Destined Lovers
Hidden Identity/ Double Life
Is ‘Magical Realism’ a trope? If so, then that would be on my list too ✨✨
Magical Realism COULD be a trope👀…what are some of your favorite series in that category?
Same, the forced cohabitation trope is just so satisfying 😍😍
It just scratches a certain itch 💙
Enemies to lovers will always do it for me, that and the forced cohabitation 😘🤌🏽
It’s a classic trope for a reason💙💙

This is why we keep Topher on-staff. Have to keep Shawn in line🤣
I almost lost it there too😂😂

Hahaha, no typos spotted here😏🤣

Ooh yes, those are both great options too💙💙
You didn’t mention Wandee Goodday during the fake dating trope. I really liked the way their relationship developed
Yes, Wandee Goodday was another good entry for the category for sure
I would add the Taiwanese 2024 BL/Bromance "A Balloon's Landing" to the Soulmates/Destined Lovers Trope.
Ooh, that’s another good one for the list for sure
Even if it was more of a bromance, having Fandy Fan back on my screen in anything bl-adjacent is always welcome 🩷🩷
Hahaha yes, Fandy is always a welcomed addition to our screens 😄😄
Not you using the Light On Me poster with Daon instead of Shinwoo 🤨
👀👀👀👀
soh queria saber de quais BL eram as imagens, pq nem todos q aparecem nas cenas são os exemplos mencionados pra cada tipo
Sure, at which part of the video are you looking?
