U should try full auto refit on 180s I love it
The biggest thing for me about the 180 change is that posterity is finally good. It felt amazing before but didn’t really have anything amazing in its second perk slot. Rampage now kills in 3 headshots up to 9 resilience with a single stack meaning now posterity is super viable

With Reconstruction too, the shooting will never stop. 28 whole bullets counting out the ones you’ll get while shooting.
The one I have been using has rapid hit/opening shot. Yea you miss out on a damage perk but getting that almost guaranteed headshot for the first round is really nice. Tag on a targeting adjuster and hand cannon targeting mods and this thing pops heads like no tomorrow.

The comment about awkward efficacy at close range was a very good point. These really accel in their tight midrange game, but waffle hard past that general 28-30m area where most are going to sit, and get kind of claustrophobic from 15m and below. They fill a different role than SMGs do in that regard. I'm definitely still experimenting with these and where they might fit for certain builds since they play such a niche roll. Explosive Rounds ala Vulpecula has been pretty strong as much as I like Kill Clip on these with Epitaph etc.
While I don’t think they’ll become meta, 180’s do feel a lot better after the changes
Hey SirD, a quick tip about 180s. With the exception of Iron Reach of Frontier’s Cry, a max range 180 will only have a 3-meter advantage over 180s that focus on stability and handling.
You could increase its ability to fight flinch while still having a good dueling weapon at mid ranges, especially with Kill Clip and Radiant.
I love how there video's subtitles include every "uh" and "um". It's a subtle touch, but it's very appreciated. Top tier content SirD!

But the shifting of the background layers (idk the right teminology) during the part where you're talmbout 1x0s have loved in the shadows, etc. - the way they're shifting, just kept my brain engaged right away. Idk if that's somethinG YOU personally did. But if so, I appreciated it
With the buff I've been using my old Trust from season of opulent that has both dragonfly and explosive payload and it's been doing way better now. Especially when you pair it with a pulse or scout for medium to long range maps. Even small maps and pair it with a shotgun or fusion it does very well. You need to try it if you can for a video.
I immediately pulled my Vulpecula out of the vault. Small bore, accurized, encore/outlaw, adagio/explosive payload and a range masterwork.

Find a 180 with explosive rounds - like Trust. They do great now with that extra range.
A weird aspect of this archetype is that it needs Range to push beyond it's sweet spot but also require Stability to negate Flinch. Then they need Handling because they're clunky. So despite the much needed boost they could also do with a performance buff just to give them a little more help (Handling preferable).
Looking at this video I’ve never given 180s a chance. (because I dismantle every one) I might try it out when I’m feelin krispy. But when are we gonna see a caliban hand knife/nade vid? Before it gets nerfed just an idea 💡

You can get a roll with 100 stability, or at least high, with Frontier's Cry, so it can be good challenging flinch.
Reminds me of the 120 meta. People ran around with pre nerf hedrons with cold snaps and rampage and always had the ability to two tap. We have arguably easier ways to get damage buffs now (radiant) and even the smallest damage buff makes 180s three tap. Guess landing 3 crits instead of two is enough to make it not immediately become meta. Also the range was definitely a factor for 120s too.
Maybe Malfeasance video in the updated 180 meta? I know it's a 5 shot kill from anywhere anyways but it feels good.
They basically just made them more forgiving while allowing them to punch above their weight with a damage buff.
I love the changes to 180's. I have a Vulpecula with Killing Wind and Adagio. That thing slaps pretty hard but the fire rate is left to be desired
with Adagio, it actually fires faster than 140s (i think around 150 rpm?) so it'll be more stable AND faster killing

Hey, try a survivor's epitaph with kill clip on a lunafaction warlock.
So I've been using a vulpecula w explosive payload thinking I'd be 3 tapping all day but it seems explosive payload doesn't add extra damage. Doing 41 a crit and 19 w the explosion . Is this normal?

Surprised you didn't use seventh seraph revolver, that things' a beast.
Just make the 3-tap at closer ranges, have terrible bodyshot damage so you can't 2-crit 2-body, and increase their damage falloff so that they require an all crit 4-tap at longer ranges. Also give them higher handling to really cement that close-range weapon feel into them. It would be like bringing back Luna's and NF but they'd only 3 tap within their optimal range. It would be a close-mid range weapon that requires all headshots, which is something that takes a bit of skill given how it's generally harder to aim up close. We have weapons like autos and SMGs which are kind of the opposite of that, so having a close-range precision weapon that's actually good within its intended range would be dope. You also wouldn't have to worry about damage perks making them OP, since you could just make them barely 3-tap all resiliences at 62 per crit, and with lower bodyshot damage, they wouldn't get much off of body-shots even with a damage boost (at best, they'd 2-crit 2-body within optimal range again and would get an artificial range boost, allowing them to 3 tap slightly further out).
i like when a buff to a gun type makes it viable and solid rather than S tier off the rip, now theyre a legit option and could see some good use for some people that might not like other hand cannon types as much

my issue with precision frame hand cannons is the recoil doesn't feel like a handcannon and my brain can't handle it

180s are my favorite archetype for a handcannon but they get no love. They feel so good and easy to hit your shots but they got nothing else

I think you should've been reaching harder into radiant makes it a 3 crit on most resil plus on hunter you can easily proc it urself and with an aspect it can reproc radiant with solar weapon kills (frontiers cry) nasty chain
