For all the people hating on Zakk. Go watch Ozzy live at budokon. From the down to earth tour. 1 hour and 25 mins of complete rock star performance. He stepped up to play the Pantara gigs too, and most people got over it right away, after hearing the positive reviews from the people going to the shows.
He is easily the most technically proficient guitarist that Ozzy had. His alternate picking is super clean and blazingly fast .his bends and vibrato are soulful and let's not forget his screaming pinch harmonics that he took to a new level ,spawning a million imitators. I saw him with Ozzy in 1992 and he carried the show as Ozzy was claiming to have the flu .zakks unaccompanied solo was super articulate and he got the audience involved by telling us to clap along while he gradually increased the tempo. Truly amazing
no more tears is probably my fav song of all time. i love bls too, but his work with his first 2 albums with ozzy are my favorite writing of his. ozzy most likely is credited to that sound in terms of how the songs came out in terms of vibe
He almost wanted to fight Eddie Van Halen at Dimebags memorial service because Ed was shit faced drunk and wouldn’t shut up long enough to let him say anything. They were both on stage at the same time.
Zakk exaggerates his height more than WWE wrestlers. He claims 6'2 yet he's no more than 5'9. He usually wears boots with at least 2 inch heels. And possibly lifts inside them.

The internet will claim 6'1 for phil on most sites, looks like. IMDB has him at 5'11.5 which is even being a bit generous, i think. Zakk is standing beside phil in his big 2 inch heeled boots and he's roughly the same height as barefoot phil.
