LOL, When you just recount all the numbers it does sounds daunting! This was "the Prisoner" remake. The original seems sane compared to this storyline. I do like the way they include various aspects of the original ("way out"), but don't really like the "it's all a dream" explanation (the original made a lot more sense...jeesh!)
I got a bit of that Leonardo di Caprio movie with a touch of that Tom Cruise Space movie. I think Desert is a terrible place compared to the many geographic locations a Matrix world offers.
This show is so good, I'm glad I stopped watching this video right away and downloaded it so I could watch it and not spoil the ending! If anyone else sees this, watch the show first. It might even be better than the original show.
Thats because it is. "The Prisoner is a 2009 television miniseries based on the 1960s TV series The Prisoner about a man who awakens in a mysterious, picturesque village from which there is no escape and wonders who made the village and why. It was co-produced by American cable network AMC with the British channel ITV".....
I genuinely don't know which is more confusing between this one and the korean movies with 47 characters properly named jumping in and out of the action
This seems like an interesting movie, wonder if it's related to the old TV show? The show was great, though, I think it kind of went off the rails at some point and became a little too esoteric and hard to follow.
I think the trick is to not do that and just go with the flow. Michael becoming 6 is turning point. After that it gets a bit funny to listen to without watching.
After seeing this recap, i have a new appreciation for the original series. I thought it was so strange when i saw it on Pluto Tv, but it still hooked me. I wish the film kept with the numbered buttons or numbered their clothes in some way.
I just realized that part of this movie was filmed in my home town, Swakopmund, Namibia. The triangle houses are vacation bungalows and where the red bus drives along the palm trees is just a parking area close to the beach. The dunes are just outside of the town.
I get it. It's a world inside the mind where people who have suffered severe psychological trauma go to start over. Everyone there is a broken person in the real world and only in the village do they have a hope of having a normal life.

So the whole goal of this was for Curtis to get his wife back, and the only way to get his wife back was to find another “dreamer” in the village and have them take the pills so that instead of his wife being unconscious, they would be unconscious instead and he could have his wife back? Pretty weird plot
I miss Ruth Wilson's old mouth so bad. It had the most unique and expressive look. Her teeth were crooked in the _best_ of ways. Her top lip nearly didn't exist at all, thus causing her smile to be incredibly infectious and alluring. Those deep laugh lines framing it all so well... Gah. What a friggin' face.
Basically as far as I can tell it’s just a giant mind palace & people stream themselves into this other world they all share and it helps with their mental issues. But it creates another them who get their memories erased but real memories leak in leading to them wanting to escape but can’t cause they are subconscious copies prisoners. I’m assuming the real version goes there only if they are dreaming or are in some kind of be like machine. Then when they wake the subconscious stays. If they get too stress the mind version can then turn into multiples. And I don’t think any of the children are real like 2’s son. Would have helped them writing their number names onto themselfs. As much as this is interesting I don’t think in the end much happened apart from the woman taking her place & him getting a promotion.
I think the numbers are what makes the characters, script writing and recap extremely interesting. I got deeply drawn in to the movie & recap when Michael became 6.
Video start, i check the comments to see if this recap is worth it. First comment talks about needing to use a pen and paper to follow along. I like the comment as I chuckle. Then I see that all the following comments suggest you should absolutely need a pen and paper for this recap 😮... So here I am with a pen and paper.
a notepad and a pen is recommended for this recap.
We need a whole database

But what was #69 doing?
Hanging out with a 304
There's also 1955 & 11 to 12. I think I like this version of whatever the 1960s reference is, unless it too is based on a interesting numbers systems.

I just confused with the numbering system 😂
Now i am using a pen and paper to write down everything
Lol
right?!
Personally I think "Unsigned Two" is a great name ^^
Gotta name my son that ^^
You must have written all these numbers in paper!
Why? I think after Mike becomes 6 it's all numbers and faces. It gets weirder and funny the longer one listens on. Sick recap.
So the whole thing is a Matrix type deal for people's subconscious?
I got a bit of that Leonardo di Caprio movie with a touch of that Tom Cruise Space movie. I think Desert is a terrible place compared to the many geographic locations a Matrix world offers.
but they are mostly able to function in the real world, mostly
It's a remake of 1967 tv series the prisoner
This is a remake of an old TV show called The Prisoner. It aired in late 1960s and starred Patrick McGoohan.
Be seeing you.
Hope ask question why why why why old movie on si- fi
The stupid killer white bouncing ball
This is definitely not a remake, this is some kind of rubbish reconceptualization
I loved the original.
They are numbered because prisoners don't have names...
I think they are trying to prove that numbers can’t be used as a Name
Just when I thought Mike was the only 1 free since he wasn't a number originally but a name.

*The numbers are one thing. But the fact that there is a 2, an M-2, an on-2, and a 2-by-6 is ridiculous*

Looks like a modern remake of the gripping 1960s British television series 'The Prisoner' starring Patrick McGoohan as 6.

This was a limited series tv show. This is very accurate but the ending is depressing.
I'm done trying to figure out the numbers and characters
I think the trick is to not do that and just go with the flow. Michael becoming 6 is turning point. After that it gets a bit funny to listen to without watching.
1:39 should we talk about it ?🗣️🔥
so a remake of the prisoner then...
Need a recap of this recap
The numbers are so complicated even Mr. Movie Recaps got confused at 16:51 saying 41-15 instead of 4-15
This movie is confusingly numbered
Thank god they didn't decide to name/number the main character something like 212 🤔🥴😵💫🤯
If Chris Nolan made a numberblocks movie

I love this series but the original is amazing.
I don't know if it's worse to watch the show or this summary of it. No fault of the youtuber summarizing.

Ok, I see a #2, but where is #1? You can’t do a #2 without a #1.
It was mentioned in this recap that there is no #1 and taking the “name” #2 is an act of humility

Too many Bomboclot numbers 😂

Come home and rewatch when not with strippers. It's interesting and it gets better because you still see the numbered actors.

I can usually follow the recaps no matter how complicated they get but this one took a couple watches.

I'd also add weird, interesting and then funny
Being sober and watching this is confusing as well.
