There is a theory i accidentally found on an online forum from 2012 that Heil mics, american company, who makes only expensive high end mics are actually chinese OEM mics. If you google it there pictures of chinese or japanese mics that look the same as PR35 (and other models) externally and internally. What I didnt find is anyone comparing them. I find it a very interesting true crime unsolved mystery.
The PR35 is by far the best, the SM58 and Bete both sound like they have a muffle over them and the PR35 sounds like it's just been removed so sounds far better. Using this mic would take some effort away from having to EQ vocals depending on your sound. I'm not saying that using the microphone you won't have to mix anything but it's that little bit less work you have to do.
Thank you for your great review! Can you recommend this mic for home recording or should I purchase a condenser like AT2035 or Rode NT1? Is it neutral enough? On UA-cam a lot of people recommend condensers cause they pick up more frequencies of your voice.
Back your pop filter off a few inches more from the mics so the air has time to disperse the pops more. Sing fairly close to the pop filter. And yeah, cupping is crap lol.
Heil pr35 is the winner here. Sounds even better than the shure sm7b.
I just bought a pair of 35's....and I DO NO NOT REGRET it at all... Best piece of gear I've picked up in the last few years..
sound like i has sooo much low end.... even without using proximity effect

The PR35 has a lot of clarity compared to the other 2. Thanks for the review and the comedic tidbits.
Great demo, Glenn Fricker approves of the PR-35 \m/

The smoothest mic I’ve used in 30 yrs of singing with different stage mics.
Great review! What do you think about AKG D7?

I don`t know, just tested my new PR35 and the handling noise is just awfully loud. Considering to return it.
