I was 100 percent all in on this game when the first trailer dropped. I'm becoming more and more sceptical as time goes on, i think they're focusing too much on periphery crap like customisable belts etc rather than nailing what actually made AKI games great (gameplay and animation).

They're promoting all that and the DLC but the gameplay and animations is looking as AKI accurate as it comes. The best thing about this game that I can see, is that it's doing developed for the fans by fans. These guys lived the AKI games and are uber transparent about everything they are doing. Let's see. I'm hopeful.

I mostly agree but I do think they're having an issue with feature creep. In my opinion this game should be more WCW/NWO World Tour than VPW2 or No Mercy. Nail the fundamentals then build on top of it with DLC or future releases.
I'm concerned by the animations in the CAW video, you can see the character models warping in unnatural ways. I'm guessing this is from using their old animations on the new character models and they're not quite rigged up correctly. I don't know much about 3D animation but I'm guessing it would be quite hard or at least very time consuming to correct, especially with the accuracy they're aiming for.
I'm definitely going to buy this game, regardless of how it turns out because I do feel they are trying to make the game we've all wanted for 20 years. I'm just hoping that when the time comes I'm buying it more for a quality product than to support an idea.
