What I leaned from watching JJ: 1. Never loan more money than you can afford to lose; 2. Never co-sign; 3. Never be a landlord; 4. Never buy a vehicle person to person; 5. No roomates you are not married to.
In the first case I don't think JJ got it wrong. The defendant needed to be responsible as she didn't try to find a roommate and doesn't seem to think she has to be responsible
