Awesome teardown video Brother!💯 That timing chain has WAY too much slack that’s for sure! That engine truly suffered some SERIOUS damage Luis! 😳 Looking forward to seeing part 2..🤟🏾👍🏾👊🏾
Good morning Luis. I am enjoying the tear down and discovery process. I bet the head of the valve came off. I'll be watching the process. Have a great day. 👍
Thanks for your support Ed! Yeah you have a pretty good of what actually happened 😂🥲! I had been putting off taking the block to avoid getting my feelings hurt 😬
Ouch! Curious to see part two. I know you know what failed first, since you’ve got it tore down. My guess is the valve. It locked up and broke rocker arm. The push rod hit the spring clip on top of lifter. That shot the lifter plunger out. Maybe you can find a single rocker arm if you keep looking on marketplace or flea bay. 👊😎✌️
Rick! Thanks for watching, I wish I was able to share a couple of updates with you, does James from OG_Superfly have your number? He has mine, maybe I can get yours from him to send you some pictures of what I found inside the short block 😂😢
Im not a professional mechanic or anything like that, but Ive owned Mustangs and Fords in general most of my life so I learned to work on them a little bit.
Yes! I appreciate that so much Donald, these are the OEM crane 1.7 rockers from the 93-95 Cobra engines, luckily I found someone selling single ones on ebay, I ordered one for $55 to compete the set. 🙏
Hello good friend! Yes indeed these are 93-95 1.7 crane rockers, only one was destroyed completely but I was lucky to find someone selling single replacements on ebay for $49.99! I bought one and that completed the set! I can send you the link to that listing if you need spares. Its been a few weeks since I filmed this, before I got the car running. The short block is probably the worst Ive ever seen! Ill post ab update later today 😂
It was all bad my brother! I tried avoiding fixing this mess of an engine so hard that I bought a whole other engine, but as you know my luck isn’t that great so I had to rebuild that engine as well 😂🤣
Part 2 will be up probably tomorrow! Just haven’t had a lot of time to edit and upload!… thanks for watching 😎🤟

Yeah, I ended up buying another timing chain set, almost nothing of what I took off was reusable, only the timing cover and valve covers

Great video
Thanks for your support my friend 🙏
Oh dang, that's some carnage. 😧 Sorry about that, definitely looking forward to learning from the rest of the tear down.
It’s pretty bad! Definitely the worst I have ever seen personally, I say that because I took the heads off already and it was way worse than I thought

@@MrBlitzkrieg1987 He does, I’ll text him and tell him to give it to you
That definitely would be my guess also!
You seem to know your way around a 5.0 Ford. You were pretty efficient stripping that motor down.

If you had stud mount rockers i could send you some, unfortunately I dont have any pedestal mount rockers. Oh yeah that chain is definitely stretched

@@MrBlitzkrieg1987 sweet! Glad you found one!
Whoooooa! That was heinous. Those appear to be the 93 Cobra rockers? If they are, I'll buy a couple from you for spares :)

@@MrBlitzkrieg1987 damn things are worth more as singles, LOL. I have them on my 89. Great rockers! When you get a chance, send me a link! Thank you!!
That chain is wayyy too loose, I'm really disheartened for you Brother 🤦🏻
