I know this is going to be seen, but I've heard endless alleluia and reckless love so many times, and I wanted to say thank you. Thank you so much for the impact you have placed on my heart every time I pray to God. These songs are really an inspiration to continue singing for God, and it has helped me so many times when it came to depression or temptations to harm myself. Then I look to God whenever I hear this song play, and I get suddenly dumbstruck that I've just felt the spirit of the Lord; flowing in like a rushing fire. Engulfing me, and ready to send me back to my daily schedule. Thank you for being an inspiration, and thank God for your family.

Cory's music has been such a big impact to me the last 2 weeks it's craaaaaaazy how much God is speaking into my life through him right now.
I just feel like the Lords wanting me to share this testimony anywhere I can so here goes:
Depression suddenly struck me out of nowhere in April 2018.
I had just went to Volunteer at YWAM in Kona, the lord had released me from past struggles and he had given me a beautiful girlfriend who is now my incredible wife.
I was at a real high point in my faith where I thought nothing can touch God and my relationship and that's when life felt like it just got too much to handle and all my joy just went away.
I was never able to fathom what people were talking about when they mentioned depression and anxiety and after a few weeks I realized that this is it.
I struggled with depression on and off, sometimes a month where it would feel unbearable and sometimes a week, at one point I did not feel anything for a year...
It went on like that for 5 years and through out it I struggled to feel God and feel like he loves me and wants the best for me so I held on to him during that time but I struggled hard at times to believe in him because no matter what I tried I couldn't seem to hear him or feel him at all.
It went on like that for 5 years, and I am so thankful that I had my wife's support even though it was so hard for her to be the partner of someone who's majorly depressed and that God gave me the strength and enough desperation to cling onto him even though I did not see him in my life at that time.
I hate to think about it but I genuinely don't know where I would be now or if I'd still be if it hadn't been for my wife and God's crazy strength in stubbornness to Cliiiiiiiiing onto him because there was nothing else I could do.
2 years ago it got unbearable and for the first time I felt like I don't have the strength anymore but I was also still stubborn enough and I knew God is alive to where I could never imagine giving up on life so after have 3 big mental breakdowns in the span of 3 days I found a therapist and psychiatrist who talked to me and figured out an antidepressant to prescribe me and the first time in 5 years it felt like I had my Joy back, I started enjoying things again and finding purpose in my work, and life did not feel like I'm just desperately hanging on and surviving right now, hoping that one day it might get better.
2 years later, right now, I went to church one morning, the past 2 years on antidepressants have been really good to me, so good that I had become sure that this is God's way of helping me and so good that I have become content with having to stay on them for the rest of my life if that's what needs to happen and suddenly for the first time in 7 years I felt the Lord clearly speaking to me.
I felt like he wanted me to go off the antidepressants, so I did not take them that Sunday, when I woke up on Monday I felt so overwhelmed with Gods presence and I was so sure that he's asking me to take a step of faith, to voluntarily go into the storm that was depression but to choose it this time and to trust that he's right in there with me the same way he was in the firepit with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and how Jesus slept through the storm I felt like he had given me the choice to rest these past 2 years and now he's giving me the choice to go into the storm with him, in his peace and rest and security.
So after praying about it I went off my antidepressant cold turkey, I know very well that doctors stroooooongly advise you to go off slowly but I just felt so 100% sure that the Lord's timeline was not "go off of them in 6 months" but, go off right now and trust me to make it all alright, after all he's the one who made me.
So now it's been 2.5 weeks that I just full on stopped my meds and usually if I miss them by an hour or especially a day I eventually catch the enemy really attacking my selfworth and my thoughts turning really negative.
But this time I full on expected a storm of depression to come upon me yet I have been feeling the clearest and most alive and connected to the Lord that I have in the last 7 years and I would go so far as to say better than ever before!
And I've been noticing how the Lords been making me sobby and bringing my feelings back, I felt so much more joy when I was on my antidepressants but I hadn't noticed how in a way I had also just been numbed to the world.
I am not sure where the Lord is taking me on this Journey and I am a little scared of my depression potentially coming back but I somehow just randomly have been feeling like listening to Cory and every single song has just been making me weepy and so thankful to have the Lord.
Especially listening to the rooftop session of to love a fool and how anna is talking about feeling the darkness trembling I've just been like WOOOOOOOAAAAAH GOD....
So to anyone reading this who might be going through a really dark phase aswell, believe me it's going to be alright.
It is ok to take antidepressants and I believe the Lord gives us the opportunity to just get a break through things like that but his goal is to have rest and peace in him.
God is sooooo so good, and he loves us so much, and the darkness will treeeeeeeeeemble before him.

To everyone saying this was recorded in a studio. Lets just examine some things really quick. This was certainly recorded outside, why have the guitar plugged in? You can see in the Born again video he has a wireless mic pack which means they're getting direct guitar sound. You don't need to have a microphone outside the guitar to get the sound. They are also probably using a very nice parabolic microphone to catch just his vocals and I'm sure there the mix was done in a studio afterwards. But it was certainly recorded live. You can even hear his voice "crack" a little on born again...that would NEVER be left on a studio recording.
