- Many people have commented that Tyson Fury has appeared nervous during the fight-week lead up to the Oleksandr Usyk bout. This may well be true - nerves are nothing unfamiliar to boxers - but the question is whether a fighter can control them. Success in boxing, like success in every other aspect in life, is usually reliant on just how one control's one's emotions.
Fury looked very Jittery. Wouldn't even look Usyk in the eyes. It's out of character for him.
Yes fury must surely be aware that his body is not what it should ie. Past its sell by date and usyk will use this to his advantage.fury will cut and if he does god elp him.Usyk will do a number on fury and shock all the doubters as to his boxing prowess.

Fury is a bully. And like any bully, when a guy isn’t intimidated by him, he won’t look him in the face. This is psychologically for fury so that Usyk will not see nerves or fear in his face. Fury tried to turn the face off into a display of ‘lack of respect’ for Usyk. But it didn’t come off like that, because by turning away from Usyk he faced the WORLD, and we could tell he was very uncomfortable indeed.
It gives USYK more confidence seeing fury so quite and subdued never seen fury like this before a fight but let’s be honest it’s the biggest fight ever for both fighters
Usyk will school him I don't even think it will be close but I'm looking forward to this fight
I’m just praying that if it goes the distance Usyk gets fair judging because in the past Fury has had the judges AND the ref on his side.
You're right about the nerves. We just had a fighter get KO'D in his pro debut and pass away -dont know if you covered that this week.

I think Fury is nervous but i think not looking usyk in the eye wasn't a sign of nerves and more a poor attempt at mind games, I think if you were really doubting yourself you'd do all you could to pretend to be confident and square up rather than make it look that obvious
I get it, he's not as relaxed as in the ngaynnou time. But usyk watching fury in his public workout, look fluffed, walked off early. Overall I think he is a bit but in control
Being nervous is being human. Fury fights amazingly when hes nervous. Hay even Usyk is nervous. Thats boxing

I don't think any fighter that gets to their level responds to nerves and pressure in a normal way. Yes, Fury looks a bit on edge, but I think an insane level of pressure is what will feel normal for him. I just want to see it happen, both at their best (I hope no-one 'got old over night'), and I want to see fair judges as you said. I think Fury will have to come out strong and fast and take some chances early, as his punch output goes down later in his fights, whereas Usyk goes up gears again and again. I honestly have no idea who is going to win, but I'm looking forward to it!

had fury looked usyk in the eye it would have been different, the nervous look stemmed from concentration and the determination NOT to look at his apponent! mind games that didnt quite work, is it an omen!!!!!
I believe he does. Fury looks the least confident, I've ever seen him. Whether this is a bad thing, we'll see, but he knows he's up against it. 👊

@@joestunnerboxing But Joe I don't think that you will get the result that you hope for because this is ending in a draw or a controverisal Fury win. But a draw allows both men to walk away unscathed and with the ability to make more money. The men behind the scenes will not let Fury leave that ring without his WBC belt. After this fight Usyk will drop one or more of those belts he holds.
Fury understands that his Mouth Bullying is not working with Usyk. However Joe, Fury makes on wonder if he is taking a Benzo for his nerves,, seriously. Also when a man cannot look another man in the eye, like what we all just saw, that man has issues he is trying to cover up.

Fury looks shook to death, he refused to look in the eyes of uysk and was acting really out of character. So far out of character it was really clear to pick up on. Even sugar hill was constantly looking over at fury when he was saying things i don't think even he believed will happen. More of a hope it goes that way. Its over for fury and i think his team know it, this is also why we see john fury headbutting people. When fury he loses his career is over i feel. or as uysk would put it i very feel.
Any fighter would be nervous with that idiot John Fury on their team regardless of the opponent.

Serious question - does Fury have HIV? He doesn’t look well. In fact, he looks terrible and he’s been dropped in sparring. If he’s HIV+ he should rather relinquish the title and pull out of the fight.
Fury knows he can’t beat Usyk. Fury’s been a fraud from the outset hiding behind bushes while fighting hand picked stiffs like Deontay Wilder, Chisora and Delian Whyte.
