proper mechanics, doing a proper job and a proper video, thanks guys for the upload, great work. strange but true, the wiring on a mk3 Clio using the same 1.5DCi, is different at the relay/control unit end! Blue, white, green, purple to glow plugs, central fat red is always hot, two thin wires are 12v and 3v sensor wiring.
The issue with the 60 faults is probably down to water coming in from under the dash and dripping onto the fuse box. The drain plugs in the wheel arches get blocked from the top. Bad location have to remove wiper motors to get to the top of the them to clean out 🎉
How do you guys fancy checking over a 2015 Scenic 3, 1.6dci with 60+ fault codes and same cold weather starting probs! If my mechanic can’t fix it, I’m coming to you! Where are you located? 😀
Hello there, Seen video & I have a Renault Traffic doing the same thing. I have started opening the loom to look for a wiring fault. Do you know where that green wire goes to?
my desail 1,5 megan is push button start and glow plug lite only stays on 2 seconds then engine turns over automaticly but it was minus 6 this morning and was trying to start but would not it took ages to get it to run loads white smoke unburnt desail with a key start you can keep glow plug on longer but b cause its push button start and pressing brake pedal glow lites only stays on at most 2 seconds which is not long enough when its minus 6 how do i sort that
@@MrErnicito no my dorters cars the same to in very cold weathear shes got same care but when i got the car 3 years ago their was one of them units in glove box that you took out so wot is the problem that green wire it starts ok if its not below zero
I have this permanent fault, DTC0380, I have changed the heater relay but I still have a bad cold start. Wiring and fuses are OK. I understand that now I have to change all 4 heaters to fix the problem. Thanks for the answers
Have a similar problem but the green wire on my glow plug relay is a feed to the glow plug no4. Have similar problem on orange wire going to relay showing 10 - 11 volt and cant light a test light. Waiting to get hold of a wiring diagram.
@@HomemadeByKomal endeed. the video is misleading. the green wire is a glow plug direct wire and is PWM controlled and not a PWM CTRL signal from ECU. on this system and many others the glow plug module will activate the glowplugs via PWM signal. also this glowpulgs can be fast reaction glow plugs 4.4 V , 7 V etc , is no good to test them with the test light more than 1 sec ...
@@TTRVision Can I ask what is PWM? My Renault trafic 115 dci stopped suddenly after starting. Cranks but won’t start as there is no glow plug light on the dash? Thanks.
The accent was really hard for me to understand. I have the same problem, not getting any voltage to the plugs. So all of your connections were fine inside the plug, but from what was the green (damaged) wire you repaired? Thank you for your video, I couldn't find a wiring diagram for the preheating unit. Edit: The green wire was the 12V signal which is the duty cycle? (when running it switches often from 0-14V)
Brilliant. Someone who actually knows what they’re doing! Thank you.

Quite a helpful video! I'm trying to diagnose a 164113 code on a 2013 megane 1.5. Any tips?
Great find boys 👍👍👍🙌
Nice find, good job Sandy 👍
Great diagnosis. Was this related to no glow plug light showing on dash??
Could please shed some light on whereabouts the wire was located that was corroded?
Thanks
Hi buddy great video I have the same problem the wire which was broken do you know where the wire goes to please would be a great help cheers david
Nice diagnosing !
well done. thank you for sharing.😀

Hello bonjour j’ai un code défaut DF025
Une réponse merci
Le boîtier de préchauffage ??
Bonjour j'ai le même code j'ai changé le boîtier de prechauffage toujours le même code défaut
Have you solved the problem yet
Yep corrosion in a wire stil shows 12v but can't carry a substantive current. Can throw you out very easy
nice find any ideal about 3 volt wire intresting to see if any change is occurring' cheers
Sorry forgot to pin that! Cheers sandy
Thank you

In case it's any use, I had heater number 3 blown. I changed all 4 heaters and problem solved.
