I would just like to say, I’m so happy your back I never stopped coming to your channel everyday hoping for a new video. This things you show in the video probably entertain a lot kids and it gives teenagers like me inspiration. I’m happy your back. 😊
Big Planes have you ever thought about making more tutorials? Like cargo door tutorial, Wing box but angled up instead of back or as well, Ground crew vehicles. Things like these would be very helpful.
Looks amazing dude! Was extremely impressed with your progress last time - really ingenious stuff. But to see it all shaped over is certainly a treat as well. Looks awesome so far!
Something to keep in mind: There's gonna be a considerable amount of slack running an axle up to the front landing gear. With an axle that long, the torsion tends to throw your timing out of whack. I would suggest placing a motor to control the nose gear separately to eliminate play in the axles/gearing and to also reduce motor strain.
That's a good point. Issue is that the powered up battery box only has two ports and there are no extension cables in existence. I've run long axels in the past (a380 flaps) and it can work with the right approach. Ill probably have to control the timing with a differential gearbox in the nose.
Wow. This is phenomenal work. Amazing job. I would never be able to build something like this. The effort that you put in to your planes is absolutely prodigious!
Always incredible seeing the thought and effort you put into your lego plane models! You continually come up with new ideas and innovaions to make each model somehow better than your last. Keep up the great work, look forward to seeing more updates in the future!
@@BigPlanesCustomLEGOaircraft I know right, I remember when I was visiting my cousin in the USA (I live in Europe) and I told him about you. We were both so hyped and we tried to maken one ourselves. You've truly been an inspiration for so many people. Thank man.
Brilliant work my man. Always love watching your videos. Do you ever plan on coming to Canada to show your work off, particularly Toronto area? I'd love to see these in person.
Hey there, I've followed your channel for quite some time, I'm curious as to what your career aspirations are long term. I grew up on Legos and have found that it has served me quite well later in life!
That’s the plan so far, but the battery for it will be built into the tail cone. I’m still not entirely sure it’s worth it though since the fan is set so far back into the engine.
How is the front landing gear going to be motorized? It looks likd you only have one axle running to the front of the plane so are both the doors and gear going to run off just one motor?
It can range based on parts I have on hand and what type of parts the models built out of, but a good rule of thumb is that narrow body jets cost hundreds whereas widebody jets cost in the thousands of dollars.

i can picture this plane on the stand with the retractable landing gear. This looks so good.
Let me know what you think in the comments below!
you gonna add like registration stickers and the “AA luxury liner “ sticker on the plane
Thanks for building the DC-10! I work for AA and this was one of my favorite planes we had back in the day!
were you a pilot, if so how did you become one.
@@anthonybaskette1708 no, not a pilot. Im a ramp worker.
@@williampiscitello6394 that is cool
That's actually one of the coolest things i witnessed in my whole life!
This dude is unmatched
Amazing
That is so cool motorised gear something that the other planes didn’t have

Nice engineering work on the landing gear!
Thanks!

that electric landing gear is so cool!
This may be your best model ever! Who knows the next plane might even be able to actually fly! (Side project idea: Piper cub
Looks amazing dude! Was extremely impressed with your progress last time - really ingenious stuff. But to see it all shaped over is certainly a treat as well. Looks awesome so far!
An idea for a small build I'd love to see would be a grumman hu16 albatross, the paint scheme might be a challenge

Nice i wanted a dc-10 for sooo long
Haven’t watched your videos lately but I know this build will be a good one.
Yeah I can't wait for this thing to finish
After the dc 10 I will suggest the L-1011 which if you know it is the competitor to the dc 10 and was made by Lockheed
That was pretty awesome!! This is going to be one of your best!
Very impressive!
I love how more and more features are motorized on your planes!
Thats the goal!
Wow. This is phenomenal work. Amazing job. I would never be able to build something like this. The effort that you put in to your planes is absolutely prodigious!

@@BigPlanesCustomLEGOaircraft Welcome!
was gonna ask about the middle gear but i can see why its the version without it lol, great work as usual
Thanks! It was a hard decision to make, since the middle gear is so iconic, but it was the only place I could put the stand mount.
great work.

This is looking good BigPlanes .
After you finish this project could you maybe make a Zhuchenko vertoplan?
Amazing job! Well done!
Thanks!
Incredible!!
Awesome Lego engineering! Can't wait for the next update.
Beautiful
Nice
You are part genius, part artist.
That’s incredible! Absolutely love your channel!
So far so good looks incre
Very cool!
Ngl this probably the coolest shi I ever seen
this is truly the plane of all time
wow this is amazing
That is so incredibly clean! Well done man!
awesome!
Holy this is awesome
This so sick
Ahhh it looks so sick!!
Amazing fish
Yoooo motorised gear!!
This looks amazing, cant wait for the final result because it will be brilliant

OMG FINALLY DID A DC-10
works amazingly!
I've been wondering how it works
It's cool
good lord you weren't joking it really is a bigplane
Love this
Brilliant work my man. Always love watching your videos. Do you ever plan on coming to Canada to show your work off, particularly Toronto area? I'd love to see these in person.
this i actually awesome
the sound they make 👌
would it be possible to retrofit the 380 to have those too? ik it sounds like a lot of work lol
Man, go work for Nasa or something. This is some great stuff, keep it up!

Currently in school for architecture.
You shood make a lego boeing f35 with motorized flaps and landinggear and motorized elevators and working lights
Too small
love it
Awesome
I'm incredibly amazed by this bro! like what the actual F*ck? lol. Hope to see this in real life
Genius
It look amazing but when its finish it ill remeber flight 191
are you going to motorize the rear engine? if so, it will be very interesting to see how you do that (looks awesome btw!)
That’s the plan so far, but the battery for it will be built into the tail cone. I’m still not entirely sure it’s worth it though since the fan is set so far back into the engine.
I believe it can fly 😂
We need a350-900
Please can you make a boeing 747 tutorial?
How is the front landing gear going to be motorized? It looks likd you only have one axle running to the front of the plane so are both the doors and gear going to run off just one motor?
looks amazing. hopefully it doesnt end like most flights of the real thing😳🗿💀
😎
Are you going to use motorized wheels in all of your planes?
how did you build the flashing lights
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I'm just stunned. Question, how do you get the blueprints for that size of jet on such a good quality?
Easy - printed on regular A4 printer, as always
😮
Does the gear hold up the plane?
never this early
4:41, wait, no centre gear?
this model is of a dc-10. the md-11 a later extended model is the one with the center gear.
Just a question, what’s the average around where these things cost?
It can range based on parts I have on hand and what type of parts the models built out of, but a good rule of thumb is that narrow body jets cost hundreds whereas widebody jets cost in the thousands of dollars.
where's the middle gear?!?
I cover that in the video
I’m the 100th comment lmao
