Thank you so very much for this video… There is so many out there that are not aware of this proper procedure that is a must!!! to make aloe vera safe for everyone that would like to consume it for its beneficial properties. When it is not properly prepared it can take out your kidneys and your liver>the latex in the yellow gel/sap… I had to learn this the hard way. Once it is there it does not come out.
Ahhhhaa!! Now this makes so much sense! First video to demonstrate the process so precisely and simply! The three parts, and the washing in water and the cubing - I always wondered how that is done!! Thank you! Another question though - how much to eat or add to smoothies and juices? Do you have specific recipes? Can one drink it everyday? Is it safe for kids as well? What are the health benefits? Are there any side effects?😅😅
Is there a certain variety of aloe vera that we can and cannot consume? I love your video for its straightforwardness, easy to follow steps and super informative clips.
Many of the Aloe species are not consumed because they don't have much gel inside their leaves. They are not commercially viable that is why people thought they cannot be eaten. There are however a few poisonous Aloes, but they grow in the wild in Kenya.
This is the way you manage the site. I am sharing this site with other sites and people to visit here. You're a blessing, engaging, and transparent. Yes, it comes through.
Nice vid. I added the gel to a smoothie without soaking it at all. I took one sip and felt like I stuck my finger in an outlet 😂 that bitterness from the residual latex was really something else.
I blended aloe vera gel, added coconut milk and drops of lavender. I use it for my face and hair. It's working great! But The mixture turned pinkish. Do you know if that was the reaction to the milk or lavender I put in?
Thanks for sharing :) The mixture turned pinkish because the Aloe vera gel oxidizes. This usually happens if the latex is not completely removed from the gel, but the gel is still safe.
@@TheAloeVeraGarden thanks for the quick response! Yes, the pink color didn't deter me one bit. It's actually a pretty light rose color. Your channel is awesome. I'm hooked on your videos. Thank you for inspiring us!
Great video. But why to use a spoon(non sharp object) to remove gel from outer layer? I use a knife and cut about 1mm away from the outer layer so I about Latex and other things of the 2nd layer. If I do with a knife and distance from the outer layer I don't have to put the gel in the water (the last part of the video) as there is only gel. Right?
I prefer a spoon because it's easier for me than using a knife. It's easier for me to control as it glides through the inner leaf without cutting the outer leaf. When you cut cross the Aloe vera, there's a higher chance that the latex may flow on the side of the exposed gel, so I'd still prefer to wash the gel with water.

Some people do it eat alongside with the gel as it has nutrients too that are not found in the gel. Some companies are selling whole leaf juice which include the other skin. Personally, I haven't tried it.
Will there be any problem if I directly consume the aloe gel without keeping it in water.... ? Like directly cut it from the plant , scoop out the aloe gel and eat it. I have heared that consuming Aloe latex can cause health problems... so I am a bit scared.... Can you please help me out?
No, the latex in one leaf can't harm you. You have to eat lots of it before it can affect you. The not so good side about eating it directly is the bitter taste.
is it necessary to wait for the aloe leaf to grow very big before cutting the leaf to use the gel? Is it safe to eat the gel from a much smaller aloe vera plant?
Hi, Can we make the juice, refrigerate over night and consume the next morning or will it oxidize? I want to use it empty stomach for my gut healing but I don't have time to prepare in the morning before work. Or can I keep the washed and cut inner gel and store it overnight without blending and then juice it early morning?

@csj2500. I am just seeing your post now...... My heartburns was extremely severe. It would last two to three days. I started taking Aloev Vera three times a day, in the morning before eating and drinking coffee. Then, at lunch before eating and before having dinner. I was very careful with my diet in the beginning for about one week. Didn’t have strong coffee, mostly milk. Didn’t eat tomatoes, oranges, tomato sauce, or anything that would cause my heartburn. I no longer can eat oranges, tangerines, and pineapples, which I love. I can eat a few pieces of tomatoes with other food, like in a sandwich. I can eat a little tomato sauce with meat. But I add carrots, celery, and lots of ground beef. Now I take in the morning, and if I eat something that I think may cause a heartburn for me, suck as something fried.
