- This video demonstrates how to create and interpret boxplots using SPSS. Boxplots are used to analyze the distribution of scores in variables, including identifying outliers.
Thank you, Dr. Todd Grande. I've been trying to figure out how to do boxplots and this video has clarified things well for me.
The details on boxplots and how to interpret them was easy to follow. I like the step-by-step instructions on how to calculate the outliers.
Your video saved me. Thanks for helping me figure out my assignment
Thank you! Excellent teaching. And thank you for reviewing the Legacy Method as well.
Very helpful for using SPSS. Thank you for uploading.
You're welcome!
Thank you, the guidelines are very helpful
Thank you - you saved me this weekend assignment agony
This answers the exact question I had about the circle and star outliers. I figured that was right, but I did not want to finish the assignment based on an assumption.
Interesting to see how the boxplots are represented in both Excel and SPSS. I like that the outliers are separated into categories.
This was an incredibly helpful video. I am studying statistics and the book just didn't make sense around box plots. This video saved me! Thank you :)
You are quite welcome -
Being able to see the outliers helps me understand data.
Thank you Todd, this was very helpful!
Is there a way to include the outliers in the boxplots minimun/maximum values? I would like the outliers to be included in my boxplots in order to show the actual minimum/maxiumum clearly in my master thesis and not have little outliers dots that SPSS creates...
Muito Obrigado!!! Thank you.
Thank you so much for this lecture, it really helps. my question here: how to solve the outliers in data?
Thank you for your video, I can plot the graph now,
but I still have one problem, I cannot get the table of percentile and outlier cases in my output...
Thanks, could you tell me how you can turn of the labeling of the outliers?
Useful indeed, thanks a lot. What to do with outliers, we report or clean the outliers from chart for presenting in the paper??
I want to winsorize the outliers, how do I tell the minimum/maximum value that is not an outlier. I couldn't find a way to get this label on boxplot
Thank you!!
I like the box plots in Excel better personally but the description of terms was more defined in this video, such as Quartile.
+April Brooks I would have to agree that the box plots are better in Excel as well, but yes the terms defined were easier to understand.
GREAT! Can I get the dataset?
Thanks,
sorry may I know how to know what number to multiply by 1.5 or 3?
😫
What if the hinges and weighted av don’t match
I seriously find the videos of him very boring and slow....he just frustates me and he is right everywhere in statistics...grrr..
