She is beautiful but when the Oprah show came out two years ago, she and William looked so stressed and sad in several photos. I'm very glad they're doing very well now and they know they have each other for support.
@@Anna_Key 💯🎯. I remember how after the lie-a-thon Okrah interview the media was constantly yelling at William and Catherine (and then Prince Charles) “Are you racists?! Is the Royal Family racist?!” It is the ONLY time I have seen any of them respond, rather than just ignoring it, when Prince William one time turned and yelled at a reporter: “No we are NOT a racist family!” 💔
Even when frowning at her children she looks fabulous! This is why I believe she really is as wonderful a person as she seems to be. No one can pretend all the time. Think of all the nasty looking pictures of the Meg
Thank you for saying that you enjoyed the Coronation. I’ve seen people saying ‘Charles didn’t look very happy’. That’s because this is a solemn ceremony, which has existed for at least 1300 years. It seems archaic because it is archaic! Full of symbolism and ritual. Also, I have seen people saying that they didn’t like the coronation clothes. Those are ceremonial robes, the viewer isn’t meant to like them, they are meant to be noticed. The symbolism on the garments may not jive with the latest fashion, they are there to be seen. Again, thank you for saying that you enjoyed it. Your positivity is appreciated ❤
Agree. The late Queen didn’t look happy either during her coronation. She was just as solemn, and just as nervous too. They are not expected to grin from ear to ear.
Regarding the embroidery on Queen Camilla’s dress. On the front on each side of her royal cypher were her two Jack Russell dogs. Bluebell and Beth. She’s a Patron of Battersea Dogs Home and that’s where her dogs were adopted from. Camilla also had her grandchildren’s name’s embroidered round the bottom edge. I enjoyed that within all the pomp and ceremony there were many very personal touches.
Well said about King Charles & Queen Camilla. Age has taught me to quell the judgement. I thought Catherine was breathtakingly beautiful as always; the entire family were flawless. I loved Camilla’s gown as well. I got up at 3:30 to watch the Coronation live. I am almost disappointed it is all over.
I cried throughout most of the Coronation...I'm such a sop! Everything from the service to the pageantry to William swearing the oath to his father left me a blubbering mess. 😢 God Save the King.
I agree that it was wonderful and I really appreciated Zara’s outfit very much. I’m glad that it went so well and I hope the King and Queen Consort recover quickly.
Catherine was stunning! Camilla was as well and I loved, loved that she had her two rescue dogs embroidered on her dress-a true dog lover! Princess Charlotte was every little girl's dream of looking like a princess
Young Charlotte was also a perfect example of fashions coming round and round again and again. I remember mum wearing a dress in almost the exact same style as Charlotte's [just in peach with white daisy trimming] to a wedding back in the 1970s. Afterwards mum made me the child's version of the same dress, one in apricot and one in lilac, again with white trim on both. The capes were detachable so the dresses could be worn with or without them and both mum and I wore them again and again. In fact mum was still wearing the dress - minus the cape though - well into the 1990s because the basic slip style of the dress is timeless.
So very well said Beebs!! I couldn’t agree w/you more! I was so floored by the pageantry and history of it all! To think that the same song-“Zadoch the Priest,” I believe, has been played in the same place, in every coronation - floors me-we just don’t have that in America. Our country isn’t that old yet. I cried-it was flawless in my opinion. Can you imagine what Catherine, the Princess of Wales will wear to her own coronation? Somewhere at Alexander McQueen someone is probably already at work on ideas!
I love your run down of the coronation and all the gorgeous gowns. It was so spectacular . And catherine is just stunning. She seriously is such a fashion icon and just gets better and better.
If you notice at the Coronation concert.. Catherine, Princess of Wales was wearing red... next to her was Charlotte, who was wearing white.. And next Queen Camilla was wearing blue ...🇬🇧
I adore your analyses, they're always thoughtful, respectful, and infinitely informative. Your knowledge and kindness always, always shine thru. Thank you much!
It is hard to nme one spevific moment tht stood out for me. There are a few. When KCIII had to be anointed, being disdobed behind a screen and neing shown wearing a simple tunic like shirt, I realised this is a part of tradition. When PW said jis vows as liegeman to his father, seeing the emotions they noth had made me cry. The outfits worn and hats. It has been a wonderful to find reviews of the outfits worn. Thank you for this review.
If I was a little girl, I would want a copy of Princess Charlotte's dress as my own best party dress. She looked lovely, like her Mum. It was reported that the lack of Crown jewels and tiaras, both from the British Royal family and foreign royalty, was Charles' idea. He thought it might not go down well in this time of a cost of living crisis, to have an abbey full of people dripping in diamonds. That shows a level of empathy with the people that is lovely. Sophie and Edward supporting Princess Alexandra in the official portrait is so sweet. My only quibble is that I think they should have chosen a lower profile crown for Camilla. That one looks too tall for her head / face size. Minor point I know.
The idea of not using tiaras came from Prince William & Catherine. They are very much in touch with us, the ordinary people. I thought it was a shame, but that's just what I think 😊
@@fibrowarriors I do but I also listen to others, including people actually involved in the PLANNING of the coronation. And allegedly it was because the KING didn't want it to appear ostentatious at a time when many don't have huge amounts of spare money lying around. In reality it was most likely a combination of reasons from DIFFERENT people which came to a logical decision [and tiaras are really best worn for events in the evenings rather than daytime]. As well as being a very modern addition, I very much doubt they were worn at coronations any earlier than a couple of centuries ago, before then they really didn't exist. So definitely a modern innovation, pretty but I prefer the decorations from 500+ years ago.
yes, Charles seems like such a kind person. and i think in a few decades people will see that the Charles and Camilla story is actually a classic fairytale love story.
There were many aspects of the coronation which reflected Charles' interest in sustainability. Very many items were reused from previous coronations, and not just the regalia. eg. Charles' purple robe was previously used by both George VI and George V, it might even have originally been Edward VII's. For the annointing screen, the wood came from a tree which had fallen in Windsor Great Park. There were a lot of aspects like that which I don't feel were sufficiently covered by the media.
watching this more than a year latter, it was a wonderful day, thanks for the lovely recap Beebs, i cried too, it was the most amazing thing ive ever seen on tv in my life
Great insight Beebs. Princess Catherine always is so well dressed and chic. I think she gets a lot of her style from her Mum Carole. Both Catherine & Pippa both.
The music touched me and I sobbed throughout the whole service. It was especially poignant to hear Charles tell the little boy "I have come here to serve, not to be served".
Great video - so many things that I missed on the day, main one was the Camilla had gold and Catherine had silver embroidery. The subtle nod of respect was beautiful!
I am so glad you enjoyed the whole splendour of the service, I thought it was breath taking too. The choirs and music as well as the location just made it magical. I have been really sad to hear others on you tube say they thought it was boring.. I think it’s easy to forget that this was a deeply religious and profound moment for the king, we as an audience are so fortunate to be able to see it and be included. It wasn’t a Netflix production to get a star rating! 100 years ago we won’t have seen any of it. Love your channel, I appreciate you always keep comments honest but respectful and never bitchy.. well done you.
I couldn’t agree more. It was a privilege to be able to see it. It wasn’t just there to keep us entertained! 🙄 The music was so lush and wonderful, too.
I saw so many gorgeous outfits that day - some of the best from smaller, lesser known countries/kingdoms. And I love British events because of the headwear, something American women don’t really do.
I agree with you on the robes. Especially when you look at who are the guests. So many of them are charity workers, ordinary people, etc. What kind of robes would they wear? Overall, this was a coronation for the people and the modern times. I wouldn't be surprised if William in the future follows this format. Tiaras and glamour are nice but without them I felt everyone was able to focus on the meaning of the coronation ceremony better.
I cried when his majesty placed his hand on the bible. It was just magical. Vowing his service to god. It made me think of the late Queen and Prince Phillip looking down, smiling for their eldest son.
It was such an amazing day! Most people will experience their wedding as the biggest (ceremonial) day in their lives, but almost NOBODY will experience being crowned as Sovereign! I still get chills!
Just found your channel. Normally I wouldn't look at fashion content but clicked on because of the Coronation; I was so impressed, you did not 'ramble', your commentary was unpretentious making it enjoyable to watch and formally a non fashion watcher made me more interested looking at clothing in a different way. Plus your comments about the Coronation were lovely, I too was entranced with it all. My mother was a designer in a top fashion house in the 1940's and constantly nagged me at my fashion choices. I rebelled until my mid 20's when I eventually understood what she was talking about and your description of fashion reminds me so much of how my Mother described clothes, ie the how and why in simple terms. You are so right in saying sit down in an outfit before buying. My family attended several balls/functions a year so clothing was so important. I would love to see some of mens' fashion, my father and brothers needed evening wear often, ie tails, evening suits (tuxedos) including white jackets. Men can have more variety especially cummerbunds and I am often disappointed seeing men in bad choices and would be interested in your views. Thank you for making fashion interesting again for me. One of my sister in law's is also a designer (including theatre wardrobe) and as I can barely sew buttons on, would love to see her creating fashion including upholstery and she always made it look simple and simplicity is something I can understand, so thank you for your content.
Not only did Catherine's outfits coordinate to the Union Jack colors of red white and blue that weekend. All the Wales children did on coronation day as well. George in his red pageboy outfit. Charlotte in her white / ivory dress. And little Louis in his blue coat. I thought that was such a lovely detail coming from Catherine.

Thank you! I loved seeing this. And if I may. point out Princess Catherine's shoes here! 1:27 I absolutely adore the bows on the ankle, total 😍moment for me.
What a lovely gracious commentary! Queen Camilla's dress apparently had the names of her grandchildren embroidered on it, and some photos clearly show the 2 little terriers she adopted from Animal Welfare, also beautifully embroidered!
Thank-you Beebs for your comments on the Coronation and how the Royals pulled out all the stops with their outfits, Catherine really looked wonderful and Charlotte too. Yes it was a very busy weekend for sure it does make one wonderful how they held up. But it all went very well. Thanks again for your input.
Wow Beautiful potrait.... loving it. Very usual of all the Monarchs in all The Royal Family release this kind of Potraits after their Coronation, so even if Harry had stayed, one potrait may have been with the Kings sons, but this potrait would have been taken. Miserable Harry, actually had the best position, a senior royal who could have got away with being cheeky.... married a con and got trapped totally.
Loved this video!! That white dress and the red suit on Catherine… STUNNING. The only thing I didn’t love was the belt on that blue dress… too small maybe? And lose the buckle? It just doesn’t look right Apparently very similar head pieces were worn by the ladies in queen Victoria’s Wedding which I find interesting.
Kate has a black version of the Alexander McQueen gown. She wore it in December 2019 to a Diplomatic Corp reception at Buckingham Palace. Also you missed out one of the jewels in the crown...... Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh who looks immaculate.
Beeb. Greetings from Londinium. I love your posts and your enthusiasm. As a brand expert, I appreciate your knowledge and as an expert presenter, your delivery. One cannot fake passion. Kudos, woman. Keep Calm And Carry-On! Lol.
Thank you for you ‘ramble’ at the end, it’s lovely to hear someone give such an intelligent and heartwarming reaction to the coronation weekend. I loved hearing about your own experience of volunteering. I came here for your insights into fashion but gained a lot more. Thanks!
my son's wedding was may 6th, so missed the coronation, but, the mother of the groom (me) and the mother of the bride wore tiaras to mark the occasion. we looked fabulous
👑🇬🇧Absolutely Awesome Video Beebs🎉I wanted to mention that it really jumped out me that when Princess Catherine wore the outfit with the lovely blue blazer she was wearing trainers (sneakers, tennis shoes)!! Something The Meg needs to do more often! I also wanted to comment about the always beautiful and impeccably dressed Zara Tindall❣️She may not always be front and center because she is a not technically a “working Royal,” but she and her husband, Mike, are a true asset to the RF. And it obvious when the 2 families are together that they are a tremendous support to Prince William and Catherine ~ and their children!! Have you noticed how Zara and Mike are one of the BEST examples of a couple who coordinate and compliment each others outfits?! I would love to see a video about them, they are at Royal Ascot every day! Finally, Mike Tindall has started the “habit” of having his picture taken wearing Zara’s hats! They are so hilarious, if you have not seen them you should look online for them!❤
I heard that Camilla's gown, and hopefully Catherine's, will go on display at Buckingham Palace in mid-July. I hope that we will get clear photos of the embroidery then.
Oh yes! I will have to make an update if we get more pictures and detail! I suppose they didn't want the gowns to be the focus which is completely understandable, though a big point of interest for us!
Great video! Agree with everything except the black line going down Eugenie's dress did not look good to me. Love the red, white andblue theme everyone stuck to!
i really thought the shade of purple the king had on was not the greatest...a deeper purple would have looked less cheap...other than that...loved the outfits...
After major ceremonies the robes and gowns often go on display at Buckingham Palace. I know renovations are being done there, but I'm sure that they'll be on display somewhere. Or even traveling around. I would so love to get a close look on Queen Camilla's and Princess Catherine's dresses. And Princess Charlotte's. 💜👸🏼💜
Her narcissism and inability to hold a candle to Katherine would just be too damaging. To replay the Queen’s funeral where no one spoke to her, couldn’t be handled. Her inability to befriend those who could inspire her will become her biggest regret in later years. I am sure in her old age, she will brag about her connection to the Royal Family, people will roll their eyes and increase her medication. There will never again to be an opportunity to be a part of the Royal Family again.
Thank goodness she did- both Charles and Camilla were carrying back injuries, they had no need for more pain . Actually, there was a Meg at the Coronation- one of the horses that pulled King's coach is called Meg.🦓 Personally, I prefer the one from 4 legged species to one with a cleaved hoof.
How did I miss this?!? 😳 Omg... I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!! 💫 I'm going to have to start it over because I can't take my eyes off of you! 🤩 The hair (bow/up-do), make-up (flawless), polka-dot outfit... S-T-U-N-N-I-N-G!!! ✨️🌹✨️ Catherine, Princess of Wales looks *spectacular!!!* Not to mention, Princess Charlotte! 🌟 👑 🌟 I watched the entire service and was very moved. (I actually shed a tear.) I purchased the Coronation of HMQEII (I hope that's correct) years ago, and every so often I watch it... I just can't get enough of how regal she was -- the absolute epitome of dignity and grace. 💎 Thank you for another beautiful experience. (Your videos really are an "experience.") 💛
About Catherine: I sure wish she’d lower her heels. Her shoes are always gorgeous, I just think she’s in a position to trend-set more reasonable womens shoes. I think she might feel obligated to wear towering heels. Super happy to see her occasionally rocking some tennies with blazers. :)
A crown is reserved for a very specific occasion, and is a specific item. A tiara can be any number of pieces of hardware, and can be worn at state occasions.
Thanks again B! Two things- I wish Camilla would wear a bit more fitted waist outfits. She is not so heavy it wouldn’t work- her garments often seem too loose . - did you see Sophie’s daughter in the blue and white dress, blue hat? Pretty
Rarely does she wear anything that suits her. I agree, she looked her usual, boring, frumpy self. Granted she's pregnant but surely needs a proper stylist. Beatrice has much improved her outfits at least.
Just found your channel and love it. Can you cover Sophie more as she is middle aged and as I’ve gotten older I’ve had to learn how to dress differently with weight change and coloring change !!

Loved your commentary thank you ❤️❤️❤️🏴🏴🏴
💛
Loved this video!! That white dress and the red suit on Catherine… STUNNING. The only thing I didn’t love was the belt on that blue dress… too small maybe? And lose the buckle? It just doesn’t look right
Apparently very similar head pieces were worn by the ladies in queen Victoria’s Wedding which I find interesting.
Really nice broadcast thank you .
💛
Kate has a black version of the Alexander McQueen gown. She wore it in December 2019 to a Diplomatic Corp reception at Buckingham Palace.
Also you missed out one of the jewels in the crown...... Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh who looks immaculate.
Catherine almost always looks perfect.
Beeb. Greetings from Londinium. I love your posts and your enthusiasm. As a brand expert, I appreciate your knowledge and as an expert presenter, your delivery. One cannot fake passion. Kudos, woman. Keep Calm And Carry-On! Lol.
💛
Thanks for sharing these pics!
Princess Catherine is perfection. ❤
Absolutely beautiful 👑
Let's go!
Love from Texas ❤
💛💛💛
Thank you for you ‘ramble’ at the end, it’s lovely to hear someone give such an intelligent and heartwarming reaction to the coronation weekend. I loved hearing about your own experience of volunteering. I came here for your insights into fashion but gained a lot more. Thanks!
Her rescue dogs embroidered into the bottom of the gown was adorable (Camilla, sorry)
my son's wedding was may 6th, so missed the coronation, but, the mother of the groom (me) and the mother of the bride wore tiaras to mark the occasion. we looked fabulous
🤩
Yes, the Abbey will always win the day. Especially when the mosaic floor is exposed. Be still my heart. ❤
I loved Zara Tindall's outfits, she is fun. I loved the Coronation from start to finish.
They are so hilarious, if you have not seen them you should look online for them!❤
Her hair is always stunning ❤
I heard that Camilla's gown, and hopefully Catherine's, will go on display at Buckingham Palace in mid-July. I hope that we will get clear photos of the embroidery then.
Oh yes! I will have to make an update if we get more pictures and detail! I suppose they didn't want the gowns to be the focus which is completely understandable, though a big point of interest for us!
You missed Lady Louise's dress... Lovely, elegant a truly beauty as she is 💜
Oh my goodness yes she did, that clip didn't make the final cut but I loved her dress the best I've seen her in
She looked like the perfect garden party guest. She's a proper lady now.
She's blossom like a young refined beautiful woman, very educated and low profile like her mother . 💜😍
That black dress that she wore to the concert was gorgeous too.
Great video! Agree with everything except the black line going down Eugenie's dress did not look good to me. Love the red, white andblue theme everyone stuck to!
Seems like Beatrice lost weight? Catherine always looks perfect.
I hadn't seen the back of those black shoes....oh so gorgeous. Such a pretty detail on the heel...love them.
Lady Louise was stunning !!!
Just found your channel and I love your fashion commentary!
💛
i really thought the shade of purple the king had on was not the greatest...a deeper purple would have looked less cheap...other than that...loved the outfits...
The music was overwhelmingly beautiful
After major ceremonies the robes and gowns often go on display at Buckingham Palace. I know renovations are being done there, but I'm sure that they'll be on display somewhere. Or even traveling around. I would so love to get a close look on Queen Camilla's and Princess Catherine's dresses. And Princess Charlotte's. 💜👸🏼💜
Love love love Zara
You have a beautiful calming voice!
Thankyou! 💛
I don’t understand how MM could miss the Coronation. Something seriously wrong with the woman
She already worked 1 hour for the week.
@@annhenry3135 well put!
@@AliciaL98 Excellent answer.
Omg... I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!! 💫
I'm going to have to start it over because I can't take my eyes off of you! 🤩 The hair (bow/up-do), make-up (flawless), polka-dot outfit... S-T-U-N-N-I-N-G!!! ✨️🌹✨️
Catherine, Princess of Wales looks *spectacular!!!* Not to mention, Princess Charlotte! 🌟 👑 🌟
I watched the entire service and was very moved. (I actually shed a tear.)
I purchased the Coronation of HMQEII (I hope that's correct) years ago, and every so often I watch it... I just can't get enough of how regal she was -- the absolute epitome of dignity and grace. 💎
Thank you for another beautiful experience. (Your videos really are an "experience.") 💛
💛💛💛 thank you
Catherine's coronation dress is the same design as a dark blue velvet one that other people have been showing. She wore a Tiara with it.
You are most charming and speak beautifully.
Thank you that's so kind of you 💛
Lovely Commentary, thank you! 😊❤
A tiara can be any number of pieces of hardware, and can be worn at state occasions.
catherine can rock any colour.
Thanks again B! Two things- I wish Camilla would wear a bit more fitted waist outfits. She is not so heavy it wouldn’t work- her garments often seem too loose . - did you see Sophie’s daughter in the blue and white dress, blue hat? Pretty
Thank you .Lovely !
Loved this video. You took the words about that day and fashion right out of my mouth ❤
I'm sorry to be critical, but I felt Eugenie looked frumpy at the Coronation. Iknow she is pregnant, but...
Rarely does she wear anything that suits her. I agree, she looked her usual, boring, frumpy self. Granted she's pregnant but surely needs a proper stylist. Beatrice has much improved her outfits at least.
I thought her hair and make-up looked beautiful all weekend. She does look like a ship at full glorious sail. Beatrice is dressing beautifully!
@@marblehead2500 Yes, her hair was lovely.
Omg, you are right, I didn't realize that she wore white blue and red, you don't miss anything!
Did you miss The Queen Consorts embroider on her shoes of her dogs.
The help out day was a holiday.
The blue dress😮
I love your site, Beebs!
Just found your channel and love it. Can you cover Sophie more as she is middle aged and as I’ve gotten older I’ve had to learn how to dress differently with weight change and coloring change !!
❤
