Hello again On the Workbench Thank you for another Great Video. I just don't do a lot of soldering to justify the cost. But I do like the idea very much. While I have you, dielectric grease, what does that do for the joint you solder? As I said earlier I don't do a lot of soldering, so you will be adding to my knowledge base. Again thank you
Way too much solder. With the right amount of heat, the solder should have flowed completely across the joint. The adjustment of the solder with another tool is a fail for me. Price is 4x times what it should be. Should have had that iron hot and ready before filming or edited the video. (former aviation electronics Navy tech). Good evaluation of this tool.
Trying to not sound like a jerk but the soldering iron is probably not great and obviously the iron tip was nasty and not tined properly. poor technique. I have this tool and it works much better than this video represents when good properly maintained tools and technique are used.
Good grief. The soldering feeder is super janky. In fact, I would say *almost* any gadget designed so feed solder is a red flag letting you know it's junk.

The dielectric grease is to prevent corrosion and to completely seal the joint.
I think it's overly complicated for the job
Overly priced too!!

certainly am not the best as soldering; agreed the tool is expensive
Not supposed to no the solder with the soldering gun, you're supposed to let the solder melt into the joint. poor technique, my opinion.
I solder for work and this is just good for tight spots not bench top soldering
With the size of the solder being .177, it wouldn't have many practical uses around the house, unless you're soldering huge wires or plumbing.
That's a nope for me..thanks for the review...
Looks handier then then how handy it actually is, not worth 85 for common applications
Probably depends on how often you have a "need" for it. It certainly is a luxury tool for many.
@@OnTheWorkbench No, price must be decreased in my opinion..
This tool is a dud…I hope you got it cheap so you don’t feel guilty when you throw it away
Should take these 80 bucks and invest on a good, proper iron. My 2 dineros.
Yes a much better iron is needed!
looks like a waste of money to me. I would have been done in 1 minute..
It is pricy!
$80 BUCKS!?!?!? No thanks.
