i just dont get it why the slurry enter the filter after the filter get pressed? is the slurry supposed to be pressed to get filtered??

To get Filtered. We call this kind of machine filter press but it's more à filter than à press

How is slurry getting filtered inside those plates though? What’s exactly happening in between the plates and how is the filtration happening?

There is a fabric filter cloth installed on every plate. Slurry goes to the chamber built between two plates and penetrates the fabric. Liquid goes thru and solid stays on the surface of the fabric. So filter press is nothing without the fabrics. More info on priv.
