Ibuki bouncing off the log may have been good as it helped break his fall so that it wasn't a straight 10 foot drop. Hopefully Momoko will pay a little closer attention to him when he is up high. I have worried about him on the high platforms at times as she grooms others and he is crawling around. In a way I am glad he had a fall so that he has greater respect for heights and will not let go of one rope until he has a solid grip onto another or Momoko. You can see in the video where he has one hand on the rope. Though he thought his feet were firmly on the platform, his weight was leaning toward the rope. So when he let go of the rope, down he went. Never want to see any of these chimps get hurt. Specially the babies.

こんにちは。先ずはイブキちゃんの体に異常がなくって本当に良かったです。そして落下も他のチンパンジーさん達の争いの巻き添えでなく、イブキちゃんの一人遊びの最中だった様で最悪の事態にならずに神様に感謝です。イブキちゃん、運動も程々に気を付けてね。
それは言えてますね。いくら普段みんなからイブキが大切にされていても、興奮状態だとどうなるかわかりません。興奮状態・・・これがチンパンジーが一番怖いところです。とりあえず不運中の幸運でした。モモコが遥かに高いタワーに登るのが怖くなります。

まだ１歳にもなっていないイブキ君が、上から落下した時は確かにショッキングでびっくりしました(汗 でも、モモコ母さんがすぐに助けに行ったおかげで、命に別条がなかったので良かったです(汗 人間の子供でも言えますが、まだ幼い時は何しでかしたり、ハプニングが起きたりしないか凄く心配ですからね・・・。 イブキ君のお母さんが、熟練の母、モモコさんで本当に良かったです。 しかし、気になってしまう所は、他の群れのメンバーが心配して気遣ってあげてないように見えたのですが・・・ちょっとそこが心配だったりします・・・。 あとすみません、ショッキングな動画だったので、今回は「いいね」控えさしていただきます(汗
1歳未満の事故死はとても多いですから心配になりました。床面がコンクリだったらと思うとゾッとします。やはり土や草が理想ですね。東山の片腕のチンパンジーのアキコが入院から群に戻ってきたとき、まわりの仲間たちは彼女を受け入れてくれましたが、気遣いはしなかったようです。いまでも普通に攻撃されていますし・・・。チンパンジーの知能が高いとはいえケガや死に対して正しく理解するのは困難なのかもしれません。ただ、たまに他の者の傷をなめているのは見ますが。

レディーの母ですね。アニーも落ちたんですか。室内運動場はコンクリートだから心配ですね。ゴリラは体重が重いからダメージが大きいでしょう。キンタロウがあの高さから落ちないか心配です。
小さい子は元気ですからね。
