What you said in the video isn't true when you explained the channels. That depends on how the department programs it. For example, my department only programs A through D, with A and B through a repeater, and C and D are directly from our county.
How is a message sent to the pager and would this work at a facility that mainly uses 2 way radios? We have an animal department that operates on their own channel, so their supervisor has to carry 2 radios to be able to respond to the main channel and the department channel. Can this be utilized to pick up the main channel?
These pagers are just a receiver, they are programmed to listen on certain frequencies. They are used for first responders and alert based on the "two tone" paging system. Departments program the A-H settings based on their needs and they are quite configurable. These are exclusively used for on call first responders than general communications because of their two tone alerting.
jimmy gerilius since nobody replied to you yet, 1. It’s either a 1 frequency or 5 frequency. Not 6. In addition, the letter positions are for modes. Each mode can be set to something completely different. Mode can be a single frequency, scanning two of them, monitor or alert only, tone or vibrate, on or off duty.
I just got mine & I love it
I noticed that this pager doesn’t talk when he change the channel or when he turns it on
I know this is a bit late but does the pager need to be turned off when charging? Thanks.
Thanks a lot. Good help

I understand it's a 6 channel pager, but why the 3 extra positions "F-G-H" ?
