Lt. Com. Gerard Roope, CO of HMS Glowworm got Victoria Cross, highest british military medal, for this action, althought posthumously. And it was on recommendation of the enemy captain Hellmuth Heye, CO of Admiral Hipper, who wrote to british Admiralty through Swiss Red Cross about this.

@@chrisgrigg5462 one little clarification too, it was not a fog. Glowworm was "making smoke" to hide herself from the damage caused by Hippers guns. And according to testimonies of survivors the steering positions were not manned, so the ramming was quite coincidental... ;)

Then there is Gute Nacht meaning Good Night. So if you hear any of the Iron Blood characters say these then you will know what time of day it is.
