There have been many times, where people(even fighters) said someone won a fight, then totally changed their tune after rewatching it and playing super close attention. There are so many times where you think shots land clean, but after rewatching it you see they were blocked, didnt land or just grazed the guy. Not to mention, most of yall dont even understand the criteria that judges are looking at and whatnot.

There was one round that was grossly and without question incorrectly scored and that was round 10 for Haney by Moretti leading to his 116-112 Score Card. A close fight doesn't mean a fight that could go either way. You shouldn't have to absolutely dominate to win a decision. You should not have to make it so obvious you won that the judges can't figure out how to take it from you. You are supposed to be able to win just by winning rounds. One of the judges gave Haney the 10th. That's wild.

i put big money on Haney expecting him to win by mostly jabbing and moving, throwing power counters. When they read the scorecards, i thought I lost all my money (same feeling i got when i bet on Volk in UFC 251). Loma walked Haney down and outboxed him for the most part. You could argue Haney's punches count for more since he's younger and stronger, but let's be real, he's not known for having power. You can see Loma's shots snapping Haney's head back like a pez dispenser, meanwhile, Haney's flush body shots didn't even flinch Loma or make him drop his elbows. The fight was close and both men had highlights in the same round. What would happen is that Loma would start the round strongly and Haney would close out the rounds more emphatically. That would leave an impression on the judges and secure the round for Haney. But very close. I had it 7-5 Haney.

What an incredible fight. I actually predicted the fight would play out this way with Loma getting a stoppage in round 8. In the end I thought Loma won but Devin Haney really surprised me. He showed a lot of new wrinkles. I thought the only way Haney could win would be a jab and hug fest but he actually kept up with Loma’s pace and got through diversity which was surprising.
Also this was the last chance for loma so its not just easy saying "lets applaud a great fight"...this is one of the best fighters in the history of the sport and the judges have now screwed him twice on both his unification attempts (this decision being much worse than teofimo)

If haney wins most of the 1st 6 rounds of a fight. It's hard to give loma the win especially if the rest fight wasn't unanimous for loma. It comes comes down to who won more rds very clearly . Even if that is only a few rds. But maybe just power and the way it looks sways a judge.

A close fight doesn't mean a fight that could go either way. You shouldn't have to absolutely dominate to win a decision. You should not have to make it so obvious you won that the judges can't figure out how to take it from you. You are supposed to be able to win just by winning rounds. One of the judges gave Haney the 10th. That's wild.

i put big money on Haney expecting him to win by mostly jabbing and moving, throwing power counters. When they read the scorecards, i thought I lost all my money (same feeling i got when i bet on Volk in UFC 251). Loma walked Haney down and outboxed him for the most part. You could argue Haney's punches count for more since he's younger and stronger, but let's be real, he's not known for having power. You can see Loma's shots snapping Haney's head back like a pez dispenser, meanwhile, Haney's flush body shots didn't even flinch Loma or make him drop his elbows. It was close but I definitely felt Loma won that shit fair and square

Both fighters had their rounds but neither really did impose himself on the other through a long stretch of rounds. It really was a close one though, Rd 10 and 11 where convincingly Loma's. So was some other rounds taken by Haney.

The fight was close and both men had highlights in the same round. What would happen is that Loma would start the round strongly and Haney would close out the rounds more emphatically. That would leave an impression on the judges and secure the round for Haney. But very close. I had it 7-5 Haney.
Calling this fight a robbery DOES NOT mean that the fight was terrible. It was a great fight, with a HORRIFIC decision. Two things can be true.

What an incredible fight. I actually predicted the fight would play out this way with Loma getting a stoppage in round 8. In the end I thought Loma won but Devin Haney really surprised me. He showed a lot of new wrinkles. I thought the only way Haney could win would be a jab and hug fest but he actually kept up with Loma’s pace and got through diversity which was surprising.
Also this was the last chance for loma so its not just easy saying "lets applaud a great fight"...this is one of the best fighters in the history of the sport and the judges have now screwed him twice on both his unification attempts (this decision being much worse than teofimo)
