@@sitonmuhdeckassholeThe interesting thing is whether he’ll get a shot at Jermell
Charlo at 154. If he beats Charlo too, he’ll be a 3X undisputed in the four belt era a feat no active fighter has a realistic chance at matching except possibly Inoue. He may be better than Floyd -
certainly better than Floyd at this phase in their careers (approx 36). He may be GOAT material but I think he needs a couple more career defining wins to clinch it. Floyd has better defense but Crawford is a switch hitter and has considerably more power than Floyd. Both are magicians in the ring but Crawford literally has zero controversial wins whereas Floyd has 2-3 fights that although he won decisively the 2nd time, the first fights were questionable.

Bud exposed Spence big time! I had a feeling that Bud was gonna get some success in doing his usual style of methodically breaking opponents down round by round, but my lord, it was a mauling. Spence tried to smother and put pressure on him, but it just was not enough. At one point it looked like nothing was affecting Bud and he was just playing with Spence like a cat with a mouse. I've been following him for a few years after my dad put me onto him. My dad is in his 60s and is old enough to remember seeing the greats of past decades fight and he told me that Bud reminds him of Tommy The Hitman Hearns. And I can see why. He fights like he came out of the 70s. He's not afraid to take risks and fight the best, doesn't cherry pick fighters, is fundamentally sound and doesn't stick to head hunting. Plus, he hits HARD. I don't give out accolades regularly, but he is truly worthy of the praise. He made history tonight and I'm glad to have witnessed it. Lastly, I'm not a fan, but I have to give Spence his props for taking the fight and trying to take it to Bud.

I thought it would be hagler hearns of this era. Spence being hearns walking him down taking shots but eventually landing enough to stop him. I didn’t think bud would be so composed and methodical. I thought he would exchange the first several rounds in the pocket putting himself in risk like hearns did vs hagler. Instead he was unbelievably calm and his timing was some of the best I’ve ever seen in a boxing match… mind blowing performance. Bud reminds me so much of hitman hearns. Been saying this for years myself. Spence reminds me a lot of hagler too. I really didn’t think it would be such a dominant technical beat down by bud! So much respect

I think in sport there are just these incredible, rare moments when a perfect performance happens..in tennis ,McEnroe wiped away Jimmy Connors in the 1983 Wimbledon final that was just perfection and one knew it was a masterpiece. Jon Jones vs Shogun was that game changer in MMA. Cricket when Australia just wiped England away in 2013 with Mitchell Johnson. The oppoenets are so defeated that they aren't ever the same again.

Floyd has idiots like you convinced he was something special. He was, but not in boxing. He's a proven cheater ( busted by Usada with an IV in his arm) hes a proven wife beater ( did prison time and is a convicted felon) proven liar ( he and his dad sued for defamation and lost against pacquiao ) and cannot fight outside of nevada as nevada allows for lydocaine to be used in the hands. To boxing neophytes like you, you believe in hype and lies and think this shitclown is great. He will not even make the top,20 of boxing greats (burt sugar said so as well) mayweather = biggest lie in boxing.

I felt that way when Roy Jones took on James Toney at 168… I went to the cable company and rented a box to buy the fight, and I honestly thought Tony was going to make the bout an all-time classic… I thought he was only one capable of defensively thwarting Jones, and then effectively delivering on the inside. Jones was untouchable… And Jones made him look like an amateur. It’s hard to remember just how good both those guys were in their prime.
Similarly, even though we had seen a very promising Meldrick Taylor pick apart JC Chavez… he hadn’t escaped with his soul, and he paid in flesh by JCC’s woodchipper and his over 12 rounds minus 2 seconds… So when the “who can beat this guy?!” time came, it was still totally nuts to see Pernell Whitaker baffle and pepper Chavez so thoroughly (and then get robbed with “a draw” 🙄).
Those are the two times where I watched elite versus elite, and where one guy just leveled-up and outclassed the other guy beyond any ability to comprehend what was happening… where there was genuine genius separation. Jones, Jr. and Sweet Pea dismantling Toney and Chavez.
I gave Spence rounds 1 & 3 (barely) and that is it. Crawford made Spence look like he was having an off night in an off universe, and Spence never looks like that. Personally, I can’t wait to see the rematch. It will be different. It will be like Max-Volk 2… adjustments will be made. 🤓

I could certainly see it. Before this fight I thought Spence would be the one of the two that could potentially beat Floyd. After I’m left respecting bud Crawford so immensely that I would go as far as to say it would be a 50/50 fight vs Floyd. Boots Ennis is here and we’ll see where he stands when it’s all said and done. He’s a special fighter I think he beats bud and Spence if they fought next year. His offensive prowess, quick reflexes, and stance switching while remaining defensively sound are incredible. Hagler would’ve loved this fight tonight may his soul Rest In Peace 🥊 it was great seeing Tommy and many the other greats there!

I’m a huge fan of Floyd as a fighter, but I can’t think of him ever doing that type of demolition job on another elite fighter, Crawford’s jab was outrageous. Whether he beats Floyd or not I think Crawford would absolutely give him major problems at welterweight. He is the best fighter since mayweather
