It's not about a test result, there's something called cognitive functions, 8 functions in different positions that make up each type. It's about research and it takes way more than just a test, it's actually pretty hard to find your actual type.
I wouldn't fit there as well then. Concepts of E/I and T/F dichotomy are much more fluent in me than in anybody I've met. That's why I prefer socionics over stiffly Jungian-extracted descriptions. ILE here, hello!

no further west People have done statistical studies on the average IQ for each type. INTJs have the highest IQ on average. But this is just an average and there's still great variation within each type group. So it's possible to be smart or dumb in any category. You could be an ESTP and be a genius or an INTJ and be unintelligent. Every individual is different.

In my experience “judging” is a timing issue - want to coordinate events at a specific time - get places early. The “perceiving” type wanders around doing a lot of little tasks and then wants to leave for the event - whenever. For example a friend said in a robust voice “”Let’s Go!!!” A half hour later my Mother said “What happened to the “Let’s Go?”
You should also go over the cognitive functions - the MBTI letter acronyms can sometimes be inaccurate if you’re using them to type yourself. The cognitive functions are intuition, sensing, thinking and feeling except they are split into extraverted and introverted functions. Each type has four of the eight cognitive functions and they are ordered differently. Each type has two extraverted functions and two introverted functions. For example extraverted thinking is Fe, and introverted feeling is Fi. Also, each function has an “opposite” (opposite isn’t really the correct word but I’ll use it for now), for example the opposite of Ni is Se and the opposite of Ti is Fe. If you have one function e.g Te, you also have its opposite, in this case Fi So using this information INFJ’s cognitive functions are ordered like this: Ni, Fe, Ti, Se. (Ordered from most dominant function to least) How did I come to this conclusion? Well I know it’s dominant function is introverted, because it’s an introverted type. When judging is paired with introversion, (IxxJ) the dominant function is their sensing (Si or Ni) function. We know INFJ is intuitive, so it’s dominant function must be Ni. The next function can’t be introverted or a sensing function, and as it’s xxFx, it must be Fe. The next function is the opposite of Fe (Ti) and the last function is the opposite of Ni (Se) That’s pretty much the basics, but if you’ve read this comment you should definitely do more research. My type is INTP (Ti, Ne, Si, Fe)
Funny because that doesn't make you introverted OR extroverted, and by that logic, you shouldn't have a type. Having a difference of 2% has NO EFFECT on your behaviors at all, it just labels you differently by the test's standards. You need to research cognitive functions, that is what counts in your personality, NOT the freaking 4, vague letters.

I'm surprised by the ratio between the people in the comments say that they're introverts and those who are extroverts. Anyone else just wonder why that might be? Maybe it's just me, but I believe that most people found on the internet, from social media to gaming, are introverted. As an introvert myself (I'm an INFP-T/Mediator), I tend to find more comfort playing games and talking to other players or chatting on some social media platform with people i know behind a screen instead of face to face. Maybe other introverts are the same in some way? Does anyone else think the same thing I am about the introverted community? If you are that much into MBTI i would strongly recommend you to research the cognitive functions. It´s a very important, if not the most important part of the concept
ENFP... yes, this test is incredibly interesting! In fact, I was so obsessed with it at one point and become very good at guessing everyone's types. However, I began to view people as 4 letters instead of who they really are. I have always been fascinated with variety and I love that everyone is so different, but I feel like some have used it as a way to divide or to feel more superior than others. This test can be very accurate and very powerful, but I have found that you can learn so much more from someone based on their life stories instead of their test result. That realization has helped me make stronger connections to others. I find I prefer the cognitive functions aspect of it. Anywho, it's a cool test, that's just my general take on it :)

Each coupled trait is actually one line. It can change depending the outside and inside conditions, usually described in percentage. I'm mostly infp but there were one time when i was an infj.
Umm, I'm INFJ and my sister is INFP. Trust me. There is a difference. For example, I'm more aware of feelings of others while my sis is more aware of her own feelings. I don't understand why I feel a certain way until I tell her or a trusted person my worries. Also, I think she's more open-minded than me. Plus, I have pretty much good intuition about people so I can feel that something is not right and my sis always tries to see good in people. Also I'm very punctual and she finds it difficult to stick to the time of an appointment.
They are different. I wasn't saying someone could go from one to another side of trait in a short period. There are people whom trait is almost in between one single line of trait. Like ambiverts are called ambiverts because they have both characteristics of extroverts-introverts but there's no ambivert in this personality test, and they suppose to have one side which most drives how they interact with environment. For example, my best friend is an ambivert as she took two different personality tests (i can't remember what they were), however in this myers briggs test she's an entj (in this case, she's 53% extrovert, 47% introvert). In the future, as environment and herself change it is possible that she might get intj (for example) because that time her introvert side drives her more. It's possible because human changes as they get to experience to live through different environments. That's why it's recommended to take personality tests once in about every 6 months until 2 years as there might be changes in percentages of each trait.

I take this test every so often. It is funny, when I started college I started out as a solid INTJ, then started to drift toward INTP near the end of my time in college. Now (about 3 years out of college), I float between an INFJ and INFP depending on which version of the test I take. So, I encourage people to take this test every so often just to see out fluid your personality is and what try and figure out what factors affected you at that time.
Your type really changed that often? Interesting. Usually, the personality isn´t really fluid anymore after puberty. Maybe you should look up cognitive functions (easily the most important part of the MBTI concept, directly based on Jung´s studies) and you will see that i.e INTJ and INTP are actually much more different than you would think. It could help to get some clarity
It probably has more to do with what was going on with life events. I have always tested very strong in the IN- and have tested much closer to 50/50 on the latter letters. I am guess that my maturation and the major events happening to me at specific points in time caused those numbers shift around. I actually just took the test again and got INTJ. And, I am at a point in my life now that is very similar to where I was when I started in college.

NOPE Introverts are not shy. Some extroxerts are shy, some introverts are shy. But not all of them. Introverts actually love discussing deepe and interesting topics. They don´t even have to be the "calmer guys", they just focus more on their thoughts and ideas then on the world around them. I'm an INTP or a logician. The profile was scarily accurate, telling me things I hadn't even noticed about myself. It was strange and exciting to say the least.
I always get a different type depending on how I'm feeling at the moment. A few years ago (when I first do the test) I was a ESFP. Early this year, I got ENFP. A few months later, ESFJ. Now, yesterday I got ENFJ. But there are sometimes when I feel really introverted or really thinking oriented.

INFJ. Definitely always connect with other INFJ's extremely well and can usually tell if someone is an INFJ after being around them. They make the best friends for me, but problem is they're so hard to find because they're so rare. They make up like 1%-2% of the population I think and are considered the rarest.

I'm surprised by the ratio between the people in the comments say that they're introverts and those who are extroverts. Anyone else just wonder why that might be? Maybe it's just me, but I believe that most people found on the internet, from social media to gaming, are introverted. As an introvert myself (I'm an INFP-T/Mediator), I tend to find more comfort playing games and talking to other players or chatting on some social media platform with people i know behind a screen instead of face to face. Maybe other introverts are the same in some way? Does anyone else think the same thing I am about the introverted community? Just wanted to make this point, i was curious and wanted to put my opinion out into the sea of comments.

ENFP... yes, this test is incredibly interesting! In fact, I was so obsessed with it at one point and become very good at guessing everyone's types. However, I began to view people as 4 letters instead of who they really are. I have always been fascinated with variety and I love that everyone is so different, but I feel like some have used it as a way to divide or to feel more superior than others. This test can be very accurate and very powerful, but I have found that you can learn so much more from someone based on their life stories instead of their test result. That realization has helped me make stronger connections to others. I find I prefer the cognitive functions aspect of it. Anywho, it's a cool test, that's just my general take on it :)

I have always known that I am an introvert 100% but never sought to dig deeper into my personality type. I was a bit confused as to whether I was actually an INFP or an INFJ because tests say INFP but I relate to INFJ characteristics. This cleared that up for me and now I am 100% sure I am a certified INFJ. Thank you.
Each coupled trait is actually one line. It can change depending the outside and inside conditions, usually described in percentage. I'm mostly infp but there were one time when i was an infj.
Umm, I'm INFJ and my sister is INFP. Trust me. There is a difference. For example, I'm more aware of feelings of others while my sis is more aware of her own feelings. I don't understand why I feel a certain way until I tell her or a trusted person my worries. Also, I think she's more open-minded than me. Plus, I have pretty much good intuition about people so I can feel that something is not right and my sis always tries to see good in people. Also I'm very punctual and she finds it difficult to stick to the time of an appointment.
They are different. I wasn't saying someone could go from one to another side of trait in a short period. There are people whom trait is almost in between one single line of trait. Like ambiverts are called ambiverts because they have both characteristics of extroverts-introverts but there's no ambivert in this personality test, and they suppose to have one side which most drives how they interact with environment. For example, my best friend is an ambivert as she took two different personality tests (i can't remember what they were), however in this myers briggs test she's an entj (in this case, she's 53% extrovert, 47% introvert). In the future, as environment and herself change it is possible that she might get intj (for example) because that time her introvert side drives her more. It's possible because human changes as they get to experience to live through different environments. That's why it's recommended to take personality tests once in about every 6 months until 2 years as there might be changes in percentages of each trait.
If you are not sure if you are an INFP or an INFJ, then that means you are most likely an INFP.

I'm also an INFP. Before watching this video, I used to make to-do lists and checklists, but end up not following through them, but as a 94% P, I now know that I didn't need to do so.
I take this test every so often. It is funny, when I started college I started out as a solid INTJ, then started to drift toward INTP near the end of my time in college. Now (about 3 years out of college), I float between an INFJ and INFP depending on which version of the test I take.
So, I encourage people to take this test every so often just to see out fluid your personality is and what try and figure out what factors affected you at that time.
Your type really changed that often? Interesting. Usually, the personality isn´t really fluid anymore after puberty. Maybe you should look up cognitive functions (easily the most important part of the MBTI concept, directly based on Jung´s studies) and you will see that i.e INTJ and INTP are actually much more different than you would think. It could help to get some clarity
It probably has more to do with what was going on with life events. I have always tested very strong in the IN- and have tested much closer to 50/50 on the latter letters. I am guess that my maturation and the major events happening to me at specific points in time caused those numbers shift around. I actually just took the test again and got INTJ. And, I am at a point in my life now that is very similar to where I was when I started in college.

NOPE Introverts are not shy. Some extroxerts are shy, some introverts are shy. But not all of them. Introverts actually love discussing deepe and interesting topics. They don´t even have to be the "calmer guys", they just focus more on their thoughts and ideas then on the world around them. Most introverts may seem to be shy because we usually don´t really like small talk (well atleast I - an INTP - think small talk is superficial and pointless).

I always get a different type depending on how I'm feeling at the moment. A few years ago (when I first do the test) I was a ESFP. Early this year, I got ENFP. A few months later, ESFJ. Now, yesterday I got ENFJ. But there are sometimes when I feel really introverted or really thinking oriented.

They make the best friends for me, but problem is they're so hard to find because they're so rare. They make up like 1%-2% of the population I think and are considered the rarest.
