I’m in apa league for 8 ball in Louisiana & I love your videos man! Keep putting out 🔥 🔥content Would you ever do a video on what you would do to prepare for league tournaments local, regionals etc?
On that last 9-Ball, it always goes to show, especially in any kind of tournament play, never take any ball for granted. It usually happens with one of the first shots of an important match... and the other player then runs out on you. Think about how many matches came down to one silly easy shot that was not given its due respect. Eric really took advantage of that one mistake. Great shooting again!
Follow me on instagram. I post behind the scenes stuff on there sometimes. My current setup isn't on there yet but, I will be sure to post one of it soon! Thanks!
I’ve never shot a ball out of rotation in 9 ball, but I have made a mistake in 8 ball and left a ball on the table until I got down to shoot the 8. I finally saw it out of the corner of my eye and realized I just never made shape for it. Felt real dumb and didn’t have a shot on it from where I was. I have had to tell an opponent they were lining up a ball out of rotation though. I also watched it happen at the US Open. SVB’s opponent played from the 3 to the 5 with the 4 still on the table and fouled.
It would be so nice... if... you would talk about the players cues that they are using... kinda at the beginning of the video. There are a lot of us that would like to know... what cues are being used. Just a Suggestion ! Good Video !
37:35 That's exactly how real games go, lil Timmeh! You wait until the other guy makes the mistake, then you call it, lol. That's why I hate that new Aramith set with the purple 5. I'm used to the 5 being orange.
Oh, that's fine if you'd let the other player know he/she's about to make a mistake. I'm just saying that in real tournament situations, don't expect the other player to notify you.@@Amateur_Pool
Hmmm. I tried to Super Thanks you the $1.00 bet but it wouldn’t take from my iPad….🤷 I gotta admit, I took the bet and was grinning hard when you hoooked yourself behind the 8. That kick on the 7 and bank on the 8 was top shelf, Little Timmy. Pretty Darn OK shootin’, Josh!
35:06 Opting for a 2-rail kick on the 7 would've given you a shot on the 8 in the left corner. Recording your games is actually a great way to improve your game. Keep on doin whatcha doin. 👍
You’re not alone. I was on the 2, had easy shape to the lay tough shape to the 4 from the 2, and played it without ever seeing the 3. Hooked myself in a legendary manner for the 3 🤦 Anybody that denies skipping a ball is either a liar or hasn’t played enough racks for it to happen.
@Amateur_Pool lol it happens to every pool player boss...I've done it many times as well ...but you will definitely get a kick out of the video when you watch it ...the guy looks devastated after he shot the wrong ball
Josh, you’re not the only one who’s shot the ball out of rotation 🤦🏻♂️ unfortunately I’ve done the same thing. My opponent also didn’t say anything and let me do it. I’m the only person to blame but it would have been good sportsmanship for them to say… and neither did my entire team lol I think my opponent didn’t say anything bc I was up double digits… 😂
I have a question, man... So I'm a 6, and I started this season 0-3. I have one more week left in the season and I am now 12-3 in 8 ball. So I've won 12 straight, and yesterday, I played another 6. I was able to beat him 5-0 in 15 innings. Would you think that would qualify me for a 7? I had zero break and runs or 8 on the breaks. I'm trying to get to a 7 because I'm trying to become the best version of myself on the table. I don't give a shit about the people say it's dumb to want to get to a 7, because those people will always be average at everything that they do in life. I will never understand the people who want to sandbag, just because they want to perform well in Vegas, nor do I WANT to understand those people. Again, do you think I'm going to have to perform just a little better to get to that infamous 7? Thank you, sir.
First off, I LOVE your approach, bro! I am the same way - I never wanted to sandbag. I would rather play up, and force myself to play better. I have NO CLUE how the APA handicapping system works. I can tell you that I was a 6 for longer than I thought I should've been but, looking back at it now, I think my SL was fairly accurate back then. It wasn't until after I finished in 2nd place at the '22 8 ball singles that I went up. It wasn't even right away either. I think it took another half a season. Normally, once you move up to a 7, you won't ever go back down again. Just keep grinding and practicing. Let the APA figure out your handicap. You will def. be moving up, as it sounds like you take the game serious and have a DESIRE to get better. It takes a desire because, practicing for that many hours is work (NOT fun). Best of luck, Homie!
