A BILLION upvotes, my man! There IS no 'diskette' drive on this beast, quadruple-checked ALL BIOS settings & was ready to attribute this constant warning to a failing HD and then I found your miraculous video. Thanks much.
I just had a power failure & then I was getting that message. I thought I had lost everything! This helped me once again. I see I've used this before. THANK YOU!!!
OMG! Thank you so much!!!!!!! This worked perfectly! I've just upgraded my Dell Inspiron 530 to Windows 10, yes indeed. Bought it new in February of 2009. I was going crazy trying to figure this error out. Once again, thank you so much for posting this. 👏😁
Indeed, so glad this resolved your issue. When it happened to me Dell Support couldn’t even help me figure it out, it took me days to find the fix.. there wasn’t much info online on how to fix the problem back then. Thanks for the comment!
Ive got that exact same dell. Cmos battery finalls died, and upon installing the new one, the disk error popped up. His fix worked wonders! I can use my pc again :) He’s actually beyond awesome.
@@Senicova for me, it works if i keep computer power plugged in. once unplugged, it's reverts back to old setting. So if i replace the battery, will that keep it from going back to old setting?
Weird my computer was great 3 days ago today I push power and nothing... I see the green power light on in back so I call repair guy $50 to look at my Pc says it’s 100% motherboard I change battery and it started with that error did your walk thru it works but very laggy but thanks
Sir I re install window in go to window setting then window completely successful re install but the my keyboard and mouse not working my pz stop it on lock screen not working keyboard so I open password
if you have custom settings don't reset to factory instead just disable the controller. that is if you've invested time on all the other settings and do not wish to have your work undone.
Shakaffect Beats good point. I would imagine if someone has many custom settings in bios they'll know what will happen. But yes as you said if you have custom settings
+TheRandomChannel there are some who like to tinker. tinkering doesn't imply one understands fully what something does. such a person might check a setting which has the desired effect but doesn't quite know what he/she did to get it. defaults in place would launch an utter noob into a google frenzy ending in burnt pizza and a smashed keyboard. I rest my point.
some people tinker and tinkering doesn't imply they know what they are exactly doing but after so much tinkering one may tick a setting to find it yields the desired result, later on down the road the settings are reset and the user must then tinker around more before they find the setting again. some people just don't know what each and every setting does and nothings wrong with that. that said the above message was implied to reach a beginner target audience. now all the experts kindly ignore this message and go play around in your linux box's play minesweeper. hell turn a rock into a server.
yes it works but when I totally shut down the computer and shut off the power the error message appears again when I turn on the power and start to boot up my computer but if I leave my power to the tower on it will boot normally without the error message!!!!
I’m fairly certain on why that is. If you open the side panel of the computer tower there is a flat silver battery about the size of a nickel on the motherboard. That little battery is probably dead. Replace it and give it another try with Bios unplugging the tower and I bet it works.
@@Senicova I tried it didn’t work and I also replaced the motherboard too still didn’t work so I’ll just have to leave the power on my power strip when I shutdown the computer!!!!
