Enjoyed your review, and I enjoyed this trilogy. I fail to understand why this series and its author get the amount of hate that they do. I suspect a lot of the readers who dislike Jeter’s writing style haven’t read much fantasy or SciFi outside of the star wars eu, so could be off-put by the dense prose.
I think you’ll enjoy them. Jeter’s writing is more slow-paced and introspective compared to other EU authors but I didn’t mind it. Look forward to your reviews on them.
I really don’t like this trilogy at all because it’s very boring and I’m a huge fan of zuckuss and 4 lom and sadly they don’t appear much in the EU so to see kw jeter make zuckuss out to be a complete moron in the trilogy is just irritating like you go from or possible futures to this is such a downgrade. Also I have no idea why kw jeter wrote zuckus to be incompetent but you don’t get invited to a meeting with darth vader to hunt down Han Solo if your bad at your job.
I'm just wondering what format you have. Are you reading physical books or digital?
I have all the physical books, and occasionally, I download the audiobooks and listen while I read.

I can't speak on the quality of the next 2 books quite yet, but just based on book 1, I really enjoyed it.

@@zacchimps19 yeah, I’ve noticed that he writes less about the events of the story and more about the introspective implications of those events.

Yeah, Jeter’s characterization is so inconsistent with the Tales books and just disappointing overall.
