Real world B737-captains in the simulator - hydraulic failure and crazy steward in Miami

- Instructed by two B737-captains we were challenged with severe weather and loss of hydraulic system A. Both of them trying to interfere and get us to make mistakes by acting as annoying crew members and demanding ATC.
The feedback we received was overall good. However there were some minor things that could have done better.

the job the instructor did as an ATC controller is just out of this world. it really felt as if you were flying in the american airspace. outstanding work!
If I was the pilot I would've turned around to the guy with the fast food and said "WE'RE GONNA CRASH AND DIE GET OUT NOW THERE'S A BOMB AHHHHHHHHHHH" and I would've done it with a straight face. Lmao.
Great video though. I'm not a pilot or simmer but this stuff interests me immensely.
this atc is annoying :) ahaha Great Video !
No OPT calculations for 09! ( even is the longest one)! 08R accepted without any calculation and without any briefing! Are they pass the test??
Yeah, that was weird. I assumed they would decline and go around.
Your channel is so underrated! Great video
Too much interruptions from the instructor. In real life this wouldn’t be the case. Noted the instructor is putting pressure on the crew however at some stage too many interruptions defeat the purpose of the simulator as a training device. As an instructor you want crew to know how to handle the situation when faced with this in real life. I had this actually happen to me in Brisbane Australia and the Controllers were extremely accommodating. With all things considered great work and calmness demonstrated by the crew.
You should do a full hydraulic failure similar to Japan Flight 123 in 1985 or United Flight 232 in 1989. I know the odds of that happening are next to none but it would be interesting seeing you try to control the plane with only thrust controls.
Great idea, not sure how accurate it will be simulated though
The 737 has cables so it wouldn’t be only thrust controls . It would require hard work though to move the flight controls through cables
That would be really interesting. I believe some of the crew in ua232 had already tried to sim the situation before the incident. That's why they could parcially land.
That's assuming the simulator can simulate it. If it "can't" happen, then you likely cannot simulate it.
Evacuating for a hydraulic leak onto hot brakes? That seems a bit extreme.
Thanks! Great channel. Really big help for my conversion.
Great video, busy ATC
Great video! What was that sound at 18:35? Sounds like a wet fart LOL
Amazing vid
dude they keep turning these knobs and do nothing, my man uses the instruction manual like 30 times, and they just have a mac book pro on either side of the cockpit. not to mention the random guy handing them food at the back of the cockpit. and half the time the plane just hovers in midair.
lol that was all a joke. best captains ive ever seen.
You should make a rapid decompression, emergency descent video ! :)
We tried it once and failed horribly, but yes thats a good idea :)
Bra innsats folkens!
if the smoke was coming from the left hand side shouldnt the evacuation only be on the right?
Are the column.and control wheel moving automatically n CMD mode? Great.vid!
+SIM737 Tasmania yes it has a force-feedback system and is moving accurate with autopilot on.
Very Nice! We are doing it ourselves at the moment but it is proving to be a massive undertaking.
Yeah, it´s quite hard to get it right. I would recommend you to e-mail info@swesim.se and see if they can help you out. Good luck!
Who is on ATC ?Looks to me he is RW ATC .
Guys, what's the flight expirience on b738?
i miss you
What is the Name of the Flight Bag Application .

Finns det en simulator på arlanda? Går det få till så man kan prova den?
CAE tror jag har en på Arlanda, men det kostar nog en rejäl slant. Denna sim finns dock i Årsta, googla swesim :)
wrong real procedure
In reality they were all die........
I think you mean dead not die..............
