@@MrAviary, I’m that way with my birds. I raise Gouldians and Societies, and I can’t keep my eyes off their babies. I just adore every one of them. I get very attached.

Looks good - well done with the babies 😉👍🤞 Though, be carefull with the mealworms which goes to everyone looking as well. Use the white ones for young birds - and this is even more important for softbils than with finches. The white ones with soft and new “shell” are more digestible than the dark ones with old shell. Also a good trick is too feed the mealworms with good nutrition food prior to using them for the birds.

Geweldig! Ik heb 4 jonge Emblema Picta op stok gekregen en de ouders zijn aan ronde 2 begonnen zit nu weer op 5 eieren te broeden! Gisteren bij een collega Goulds opgehaald 1-2 en morgen om nog een extra man bij een goeie vriend van me!

I'm gutted.My parrot finches fledged a while back and are getting their adult plumage, BUT they are moulting their head plumage in red AND blue. The pair of parrot finches have let me down.The male has obviously bred with the soiltary tricolor hen that was in the aviary, Babies I cannot exchange or sell. 4 nice babies that I will have to keep their entire lives and all the problems of separating the adults etc. Disappointing but lesson learnt :(
