I almost feel like a toy version of these 1/100 IBO mobile suits would be cool, since they're kind of encouraging armour swapping with these inner frames.
they tried to do something like that back in 2011 when AGE came out. You had these nifty non-scale (I think) figures that you could swap each other's limbs with and something for the AGE arcade game, if I remember correctly.
You know, I am sure we'll probably get a MG Barbatos eventually, but I am glad they went with the no grades first, since I hope they'll learn lessons from engineering mistakes. I am more of a HG builder, and IBO, seems like 1/144 got it right for the most part

This is more for those who are fans of MGs but are too impatient and want something big. I'm pretty sure Bandai plans to do MG IBO kits eventually. Maybe in 2017?
While I understand the lack of color, I would've preferred having stickers than none, Barbatos and Rebake miss a large amount of minor color apps despite their medium/large sticker sheets. The 1/100's use stickers as well, but in the end the 1/100 Barbatos hits all the color apps in the end, something the HG doesn't do.

They've all been relatively low priced individually with what I presume Bandai is sort of making up through all of these add on sets, including variations & weapons in other kits, etc to "encourage" people to buy all of the kits and sometimes multiples. It's a shady move especially since they are also still releasing a bunch of P-Bandai kits for IBO. That's why I haven't supported Bandai with buying IBO GunPla...yet. If and or when they release the MG kits for IBO, I will buy them all and probably multiples including P-Bandai ones if necessary. for a no-grade now called full mechanics, I think the Lupus is great. The full mechanics is almost the love child of an MG and a HG 1/100 kit, I also love this more than the Rex,..in anime and kit form .. and yes.... I agree with what you said about Kudelia ha.ha.ha.ha.ha.
Just gonna ask... what MG polycap runner do you recommend to use on IBO kits? it seems to me that the problem is with the softness of the polycaps use on them...
Next to the gn sword series of weapons, my personal favorite being the GN sword 4 full saber, the Barbatos lupus sword mace is one of my favorite GUNDAM weapons ever mainly because most gundams come with beam sabers, if they came with physical weapons like this or the GN sword 4 full saber then it gives me so much more for customization~ which begs the question between original GN sword and the full saber which is your preferred weapon?
I guess I have a warmer opinion of Kudelia than you do, but I also like Relena Peacecraft, and only found Lacus Clyne kinda irritating rather than outright hating her, so I am kinda used to disagreeing with folks on female leads. heh
ExtremeSManpig I know it's a little late, but for me it's a bit mixed with kudelia. On the one hand she's definitely done stuff to help out and progress tekkaden further in their job in the first season, shows that she has a kind heart and is actually pretty smart and can figure stuff out at times, such as when her father soldier out to gallarjhorn, and shows to support others really well. That being said there are times where she gets irritating, mainly back in the first season when she kept constantly thinking how weak or useless she was and it just got annoying over time, luckily that didn't last too long and she definitely got better over time.
Might be a late response but i have build my FM version this weekend and i have no issues with joints being lose or parts falling of without glue. Only one of the hands feel lose but thats not a problem. I don’t really change the pose a lot once i got it into one that looks cool, it was a fun build at least and its aesthetically awesome and i would recommend the fm 1/100 just for the better details.

I was hesitant on getting this, I got really bored of building the same shit over and over with 1/100 Barbatos (both forms) and Kimaris (didn't get Trooper though). Gusion+Rebake was actually fun to build. But after seeing all that panel lining details and it's _Lupus_ after all, so I'll probably try for this kit too.

I'm doing that to my 1/100 barbayos lupus and it helps tighten both the inner frame parts. Personally I don't think it's a good idea to topcoat the polycaps as they're made of softer plastic and topcoat may prove too much for it
