Hi Mate, Really been enjoying your shows on TV and on here hope you continue doing them as they are a very good inspiration to us all that the whole of Australia is not out of our reach and we must have to make that first step. Cheers David
I'm working out in Sturt National Park now. Amazing country. I'm also laughing at the flies attacking your face..... man they are persistent, I usually snap a long skinny leafy bush branch off and gently wave it around my face does the trick. Well put together video too. Regards Adam.
Ok...you sold me...the whole family enjoys these films and you deserve a whole lot more than I can afford...just dropped my support on Patreon...best of luck for you future plans.

Great work as usual Brett.....I look forward to years of your work to come. I am pretty much a green mountains and mist type traveller myself, but your unhurried excursions are slowly making me realise what I have been missing.
Your videos are always fantastic Brett. The work you put into them and showing us these special places and telling us about their history is just incredible.
Hi Brett. My partner and I just began researching this trip and we're thrilled that we came across your videos. We like the usual 4x4 stuff but you do it so differently. I just want to say thankyou for taking your time, for the keen history lessons, for slowing down and showing us quiet details and especially the fabulous footage. If I'd made a wish for outback travel videos for naturalists, photographers and travellers, I wouldn't have expected it to be already right here. Thankyou very much! You're teaching me to develop curiosity and observation for a landscape I'm yet to meet for the first time.
Wow the remoteness is amazing! Definitely has some similarities with different parts of Africa! Appreciate the effort, money, time and work you put into these awesome videos👍
Hey Brett! Fantastic video mate. I love the Australian outback Regarding the flowers at 7:40 I think the purple flower is a Paterson’s curse which was introduced from parts of south Africa and parts off Europe and is now declared as a pest throughout Australia. Keep it up mate! 👍
Woe wish i could just restore or replicate some of that historic machinery. Seems it is being allowed to roast into history without preservation in that harsh environment. I do love free open access real life museums such as you show. Great to see the history from afar thanks for sharing
Have followed your site for some time now. Much of your earlier work was of assistance to me on my long-running restoration of a 1986 XMOD LR 110 Thanks(overdue) Mike (Coast Range Mtns. British Columbia).
Another great video Brett... all of your wildlife shots are amazing, and I can only imagine how long you waited to get some of them? No backing tracks for this video, that's different for you! Looking forward to the next 3 videos of this area..
Another great video Brett. Well planned out and researched. Mid August? It's now early Dec, where has this epidode heen hiding? Looking forward to Ep 2.
From Sturt I went straight to Sydney, then 3weeks build and conversion vids, 4x4 show, back home to finish the build, out to Welford, film, back to the coast film.. and only now have I had a chance to edit Sturt. Hectic schedule, that's why I disappeared in to Welford for a couple weeks and didn't film anything.
Brett.. been waiting for this set.... pre to camping roof install. .. Can you describe how the station hands may have taken the water from the dam.. and how was it filtered. This to me is as important to understand as the road journey wit you. Thanks. Phill
Mate, if you could get rid of ONE thing. Would it be the corrugations or the Flies ? I guess, a bit of the old Roll on Aeroguard would knock the flies down a bit.
why dont you go up the old ghan track i was at a place called abminga railway camp out the back there was some opal digging that went on there dont no if they got anything there
Travelled through here to Cameron Corner back in September, didn't have a chance to explore as much as you, my travel companions weren't keen on straying from the main road sadly
Always a problem touring in groups.. well you'll see everything Sturt has to offer in this 4 part film.. perhaps you'll get your chance to return and disconnect for a week.
Nice video Brett It’s a pity you couldn’t shoot those goats or pigs I know you couldn’t but what a shame Would yellow footed rock wallabies have inhabited that area prior to the goats moving in?
It’s a pity that you couldn’t shoot those goats and pigs I know you couldn’t but,,,,,,,,, Would yellow footed rock wallabies have been there before the goats?
Yeh would obviously be dangerous if random people being shooting in the park . Not sure about the wallabies... Might be too much gibber for them to cross.. they Did once have a pretty wide distribution though.
Great video's. Always informative and very relaxing 😌
Keep up the good work
omg the amount of wires behind the dash, love how youve insulated the fire wall.

Excellent film, proves the point throughout, no water = no life.
Absolutely amazing mate.
Thanks mate.. a beautiful place.
Great video, cant wait for the next one, Brett.
Great job
Love your work, mate. Beautiful authentic Aussie shots. Can't believe it's taken me so long to find your channel. I'll be hooked.
Watching this series again. Hope you can get out for some more adventures soon Brett.
Love the low-level drone follow shots, great work Brett!

Nice Mate, can’t waIt to see you up around Birdsville and crossing the Simmo!
I was at the area two years ago by BMW X5M50d from Brisbane. Obviously you are much better prepared in a Rang Rover.
Brett you have realy done a number on this video mate good story well told great viewing
Hey Brett! Fantastic video mate. I love the Australian outback
Regarding the flowers at 7:40 I think the purple flower is a Paterson’s curse which was introduced from parts of south Africa and parts off Europe and is now declared as a pest throughout Australia.
Keep it up mate! 👍
Thanks mate.. I hope it's not, but most pretty flowers usually are weeds.

Another great clip Brett, Tibooburra looks like it has changed a bit since last time I was there. Guess I need to go back again. Cheers Steve
Great video Brett, thank you!
i went through that area last july and it was still wet. Great video cheers.
Great vid. Enjoyed it Steve 🇦🇺
Yep very enjoyable Brett, looking forward to the next three :)
Love to watch your adventures in remote outback...
"freedom on wheels" - I know exactly the fantastic feeling you are referring to Brett.
Have followed your site for some time now. Much of your earlier work was of assistance to me on my long-running restoration of a 1986 XMOD LR 110 Thanks(overdue) Mike (Coast Range Mtns. British Columbia).
Glad I was of help Mike.

Really enjoying your outback videos whilst we are in lockdown here in the UK. What do those flies feed on (besides tourists)?
salty moisture
Hey Brett, I love your videos. They really my mental escape.. Keep it up. Question, will you do snow and mountains in winter at all?
Thanks. no mate, not much snow or mountains in the places I plan to visit next.
Awesome

I miss these videos. What have you been up to mate?
Just busy working away. Hope to take a holiday in winter and dust off the camera gear.
Looking forwards to it
Thanks Brett lots of great info once again
Another great little video...would have liked longer...i guess i have to wait for the rest 😊
The flies are out of control
Thanks Brett.. yes, editing part 2 now. Hopefully ready by Sunday.
Great stuff.
Bytheway, only 4 photos on Google maps for the whole of Sturt national park!
Bet you could fill in a lot of Google maps with trip photos.
Brett.. been waiting for this set.... pre to camping roof install. .. Can you describe how the station hands may have taken the water from the dam.. and how was it filtered. This to me is as important to understand as the road journey wit you. Thanks. Phill
Probably used a petrol pump like in the outdoor museum. Don't know if they bothered filtering their drinking water back in the day. Thanks
Hey mate
When u went to Tibooburra did u go in summer or when
I think it was around June/july.
@@RoamingTheOutback I would love to go out there I am planning to go out there next July
Trying to understand why they would run a shearing shed in such a remote area.
Great vid by the way 👍
There's money to be made in the good years.
I’ve always wondered where do the bloody flies come from ???
I always wondered why it was called Sturts Stony Desert........
Cheers :-)
Mate, if you could get rid of ONE thing. Would it be the corrugations or the Flies ?
I guess, a bit of the old Roll on Aeroguard would knock the flies down a bit.
Corrugations.. might add another several years of service until the next rebuild.. have headnets for the flies.
why dont you go up the old ghan track i was at a place called abminga railway camp out the back there was some opal digging that went on there dont no if they got anything there
Great stuff. Bit about R. Hornsby & Sons steam engine - 20:50

Yes indeed.
This is good little spot to look for birds lol...I couldny see any,......you call them sheilas I think, not here in scotland
Yeah true
Nice video Brett
It’s a pity you couldn’t shoot those goats or pigs
I know you couldn’t but what a shame
Would yellow footed rock wallabies have inhabited that area prior to the goats moving in?
I could never understand why they would build a working farm the the middle of no where coz it’s so dry
During good rains I hear it turns to a lush green field... Boom and bust cycles.. money to be made.. just depends how long your bust cycle lasts.
2.8km to summit, 3.5km if you are shooting footage on your own.
Haha.. very true.
At least you shouldn't need spare axles if there are no steep inclines to traverse. 🐸
I've got upgraded axles anyway, nothing i do would break them.
pronounced "Tibaburra "
Thanks mate... Wasn't totally sure.
@@RoamingTheOutback my pleasure

i have never seen so much of nothing????
Hi Brett really enjoy your videos but please learn how to pronounce place names.
Goat's good eating. Just shoot the bugger and eat them.
