Elementary teacher here! The potential problem with using the mite/tite method is that it leaves one vulnerable to misspelling either word, or possibly both. When I teach it in class, I refer to the "c" in stalactites by reminding them that "c" is for _ceiling,_ and that's where stalactites grow. I also refer to the "g" in stalagmites by teaching that the "g" stands for _ground,_ which is where stalagmites form. By referring to those letters, my students are *much* less likely to misspell either word. 👍
In the US our dollar stores sell silicone brush things for applying facial mask. They are great for resin art and would be great for getting all the color out of your cups.
Hello there. I came across your channel about 6 months ago and completely fell in love with your art. When I first started watching you, you were doing primarily acrylic pouring. Well, I have had no luck with that. Lol. But you made me fall in love with resin. So, I just wanted to let you know that I bought my supplies and did my first pour today. It was nerve wracking for me, but I really want to have fun with it, so I remembered you when you first started with resin and that you were a little nervous too. Anyways, my name is Annette and I live in Colorado, USA. Thank you for sharing your art and lessons with us. I will let you know how my first pour went tomorrow. Wish me luck 🤞😃. Oh and forgive me for not saying first how amazing the hearts you are doing are. I'm not really a fan of the alcohol pitri pours, but the way you are doing these hearts is amazing. You inspired me yet again and I ordered the heart mold because they are so cool. All of your work is stunning.
Hope it all went ok for you,it can be so good if it goes right and if it goes wrong just have a nice cup of tea and start again. You will get it in the end just don't give up.
@@henshawart8557 Aww. Thank you for your encouraging words. I am happy to report that surprisingly my first pour went great. I give credit to all the great artists on UA-cam sharing their techniques with all of us.
I can’t tell you how much I love your videos Julie! I look for them every day and sometimes watch them twice! But I have a real problem! Soon as I watch your videos I have to go out and buy whatever mold or form that you are using and it’s costing me a lot of money! I am happy to say that after a year of doing resin work and giving it away to family and friends. Last month I got the guts to take my art caught in public and I got great feedback and sold a bunch of pieces. One lady called me and asked me to make her another piece in the same colors! My first commissioned piece. Then she called me a week ago to remind me that there would be another event today. And I went today and sold even more and got three commissioned pieces! One piece you did gave me the idea because I bought chantilly lace and made two bowls two trays and two small trays that you would put in your bathroom shaped like a star and I sold them all! And one lady commission trying to make her a bigger bowl! So thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Those are very pretty. I love when you were putting the alcohol in them and you told the one cup it needed more and then said “don’t we all?” Lol. You are so funny.
Wow I learned so much. Really loved them all but I test piece deserves more respect, the "clear sheep" 😉 of the bunch. Love the heart in a heart out of the black.
Okay on these Hearts I think they look like waves crashing like maybe against each other. I like this turnout can't wait to see what your green ones turn out looking like
Great effect. I'm a new subscriber, having subscribed about 45 seconds ago. I would have been grateful if you had mentioned what was in the coloured cups, and provided a link to the video that introduced the technique. I look forward to binge-watching a whole load of your videos.
I love that your bottle has that type of squeeze spray top, mine has like a regular like windex spray nozzle but I have to take the top to do drops, but I usually just use a dropper
I know this was done awhile ago but yeah that Navy was never heavy enough, you could tell from the test piece. Your medium blue and the bright blue when swirled gave a nice 3d effect even though the colors were similar they were enough different to create the effect. I liked the black negative space wish there was a tad more but over all I love these! ❤️❤️❤️
Metallic s do work the same way...I personally like to add a small bit of white to stuff like this to give it a popping look but again it's personally pref....
You get a great affect if you just add the alcohol ink straight into the clear resin you've poured mine come out looking like trees and I do move it around a bit too
Can I have more than one favorite? Julie, you can have EIGHT favorites!! These are beautiful! I love the one with the blob! You can see the shadow from the blob. Can you show more from the side next time? I love the 3D! Thanks, Julie! Stay safe and take care!
Really beautiful colours. I want to sit in your yard, drink cocktails and listen to the birds. So peaceful.

The bottom left one looks like a kiwi. It's so cool!

Wow what an artist...this is pure talent. I love how u take your time experimenting till u feel its just right.
I LOVE THESE!!! I really like how the darker colors stayed more on the top, the darker they were. Brilliant gradient!!
You always bring a smile to my face with your positivity and your funny little comments.
Thank you
I absolutely love the Heart in the middle of the Heart one. They would look amazing in red violets and pinks.

Those do look good I have to admit, you did a fantastic job on them.
Julie, I really like how you did different swirls in each one. I think they are all lovely. Keep on keeping on. ❤❤❤
I love how you talk to your pieces. You are just cute! Lovely pieces! Thank you for sharing!
The birds when you are de-molding are amazing, such beautiful sounds. The hearts are beautiful too!
You made them perfectly. I like the effect. I like the feathering and the solid lines swirling together. Adds so much movement building the depth.
Mine fail all the time. Resin remains sticky, inks are blodgy😔
@@anneloredebacker5452 están hermosos,qué colores utilizaste? no se distinguen los dos colores oscuros
I like how you got the comment in there. "He needs a little more alcohol to make him float. Don't we all?"

Haha
I talk to my projects as well, I love it, I do have to say I talk to all the inanimate objects hahaha

Those would make beautiful pendant necklaces. They are all so pretty.
Wow those turned out just beautiful. Love the Blues. Different reds would be wonderful in the hearts. 💖💖
The test piece looks really cool, because there's some clear in there
