@@janetlafoy2333 thank you! I’m looking forward to getting more posted soon. Fiberglass rods I get from goodwinds.com and the acrylic rods I purchased from US Plastics.
@RachelElliotte I have been intimidated at the thought of attempting to dye and sew silk flags. But I think I'm finna get some courage to give it a try
You should! You just have to get in there and give it a go! I think one day I will do a video of my first flags so people can see that we all start somewhere and that somewhere is trial and error. My first flags weren’t pretty but they were functional. It took time and practice. Even though I’ve been making flags (and quilts) for years, I still consider myself to be a novice with sewing. I’m self taught so trial and error is an understatement. Give it a go and give yourself margin for error and don’t give up when you make mistakes. Learn from them and keep perfecting your craft. God bless you!
Thank you so much for this video!
@@myanicholson8761 you’re welcome!
Wow what a great video. I look forward to watching your others as well. Can you tell me where you get your rods?

Would it be possible to get a tutorial on how to dye silk pls?
Absolutely! I’m in the process of making and posting more soon. Stay tuned! 😊
Thank you for this video! What a blessing! I'm having so much trouble finding where to buy my silks. Do you have any recommendations?
Dharma Trading Company is a good one as is Exotic Silks
I need to learn to serge.
@@tiathompson6674 it’s super easy. Easier than sewing in my opinion!

What kind of silk do you use?? It looks different from what I have.
The silk in this video is 8mm weight Habotai silk.
