    He was a decent keeper. But i remember Pantilimon being much better than him but of course Joe Hart had the advantage of being England's goalkeeper, so Costel Pantilimon as a foreigner didn't had a chance no matter how good he trained or played...

    • @theghostofbabanovac7069
      @theghostofbabanovac7069 7 місяців тому +2

      @@russellward4624 Panti was a better GK in my view because he didn't blunder so much, he was more consistent and as my former coach said - consistency is the most important quality a GK can have. If a GK can manage to save what's there for him to save in terms of basic situations, he doesn't even need to be noticeable during the game, but he's confident in catching and parying what he SHOULD catch and pary then that's a good goalkeeper. If he's the kind of keeper who becomes the hero of the match today with tremendeous reflexes but the next matchday he fails to deal with a very basic catch and lets the ball trickle through his legs, that's not a good GK. You can easily make a top 10 Joe Hart blunders. I mean i don't wanna be harsh Joe Hart was decent but he was nowhere near the level of Man. City, Panti was also a decent GK, i don't claim for him to be the greatest or even Man. City worthy starter but in that particular situation when you had only these two Panti was a bit better in my opinion.

      All different cases . Hart can’t play with his feet . That means he is out . Cancelo was a crybaby who wanted more game time even though he played more than most other players . Jesus not a deep striker . All these players are ok to earn ridiculous money . But it is business . Nothing else . And management must be tough . In PG case he combines it with being very successful. Cancelo lost out on more titles and champions league and won nothing with Barcelona , Jesus is a be warmer for arsenal.
      Joe Hart left and never played for England anymore
      It’s lonely at the top. When it comes to business , tough decisions have to be made . Guardiola makes them . He is not there to massage somebody’s ego .

Issue with the manager ( half of the world has issues with their manager at work ).so , instead of stating something without meaning , state the real reason . The real reason , as said by him … “ city were ungrateful “ and “ he wanted more playing time “. The truth is , Cancelo had issues , despite playing a lot , that the likes of Ake were getting priority , that’s why he thought city was ungrateful . Maybe he could not handle the pressure . He was happy to take a lower salary … in other words … can’t handle the pressure …
      But you seem to be “ in the know “ … Anyway who cares … people think that a manager must massage egos . He doesn’t . Cancelo left . City won the premier league . Nobody cares anymore about him . Ancient history . Good player , forgotten already. He played a lot that season but couldn’t handle being benched . Pep already wanted to get him out of the team when his defensive flaws started showing up. He gave him one game as RW just to say he gave him a chance in the team in a new position......and then Cancelo had a disagreement with Pep where he (Cancelo) probably got a bit angry. Right there and then Pep decided to move him on. Everything else Pep says.......including him "not liiking his team mates to get game time" is just BS. KDB had similar problems iwth Pep due to game time and he handled it differently, of course.

    You aren’t a bad GK when you have 73 England caps and 2 premier league titles in your bag. The biggest problem was joes replacement, there’s no doubt Bravo was a decent keeper, he played for Barca after all, but he just wasn’t suited for the physicality of the premier league. The first thing I noticed was his size, he just didn’t look big enough to cope with the physical demands of English football, I think the rest of the team and especially the defence looked like they just didn’t have confidence in him, and as a consequence the team wasn’t where we should have been that first season. JH was brilliant in his time for us, and his contribution will never be under estimated. Enjoy your retirement Joe.

      How though? This was a good interview. He didn’t whine nor moan like the 100s of other players do when they get dropped. He said as it is and accepted it.

    Hart was very overrated and very opiniated and once his major defect in his diving to his left was exposed, that was the writing on the wall for him even before Pep arrived.

    Pep makes players better. That is the mantra. Utter rubbish. Nonsense. He ships out players immediately. He buys the best. Excellent, perceptive coach. But he works with the best and has no time to develop players, especially if they are old and set.

      the man plays fantasy football manager in real life spending unreal money. only knows how to play with the best/most skilled/expensive ballers because he cant adjust to someone who is not at the very top unlike every single other manager who lives in reality and often gets the next best thing and tries to do the most with what they have. couldn't make a ball wet chucking it in the middle an ocean with the champions league for years and finally wins it once then gets called the greatest manager. horrible man management equal to that of an elementary school headmaster even after decades of experience, can only enforce his position as a manager because it is his job due to that bland nothing personality he is as a manager and absolute zero charisma and never forget acting all dramatic emotional and fake crying in front of cameras for everyone to see.

      Pep moved right-footed midfielder Fabian Delph to leftback & City broke records. He moved a 23 year old Ukrainian attacking midfielder, who was playing in Russia, to leftback at City & Zinchenko was crucial to City breaking records. Before Haaland, City had no reliable striker yet Pep developed the team to play without a striker & they still won the league.

      "Pep has no time to develop players"? Have we forgotten who the PL player of the season is? Pep has done a brilliant job in patiently developing Foden to World Class status. Sterling played his best football under Pep - once he left City he couldn't even get into the England squad.

      Was Sane, Bernardo, Alvarez, Doku etc.. the best? Nobody heard of Alvarez before he signed for City. Everyone has improved. Rodri is the best CM in the world. He 100% was not that when he came to City. He didn't even start for Spain.

    Im not necessarily Hart suporter...but 100 % was better than Bravo and....Edisson...Edisson...became ok after few years and still it s not the best...! Same mistake now with Palmer.......yes,it s different now...but it s a mistake to let Palmer go...!! City won 4 premier league title because Liverpool was lost the titles and Arsenal lost the titles...!! Yes,Gurduiola it s great...City are the excelent team....

      Don't take drugs kids! Hart was nowhere near Ederson. Ever. Hart went to Serie A and was terrible. He was poor at claiming crosses. In Italy!!!!! He was poor in The EPL and found his feet again in Scotland.
