The main riff is simply moved up from the same position it starts in. You don't go down the fretboard to hit the F - you still hit the E and play it the same as the first part of the riff
Actually with the current Mayhem line-up and even when Morpheus was with them one guitar played high like you suggest and the other plays everything lower.. I believe that was how it was recorded originally also.. I think this hybrid of playing high and then going low must have been the way Blasphemer played it when he was on his own. Filling in the gaps so to speak... I could be wrong but that would explain this switch better... I personally think it sounds good like this..

Great cover, but you should've distorted the guitar sound even further to make it sound like TRVE KVLT! And this is coming straight from a Norwegian guy. And you should've played in a forest with Black and white template to improve it even further! But other than that, great cover!

Once you learn the notes, rhythm, and work on your tremolo picking this (and most of the other songs on DMDS) song is pretty easy. Also, nice cover!

No, he is playing the correct way, you need to hit the 1° freet in first string.... Even the bass play like this.... It is not always 0....
