Also important to remember all the work done by previous generations and coaches to get to this point, I remember listening to people like Nick Mallett talking about laying the groundwork at grass roots levels so that young players can come through and shine in the future, what 10 years ago? This form appears to have come out of nowehere and been quick, sure, but the foundations to get here have taken years. And then imagine if Parisse was in his prime and in this team, wow!

I feel like Crowley has finally committed to a style that might be a little "extreme" but that fits our most talented player. On top of this the win against Wales gave the team a lot of confidence and the past 2 games have shown it.

We fought so many battles in the Six Nations over the years (i'm italian) and i always see Scotland as the long term rugby enemy, even if many times you prevailed...so compliments from a scot are worth more than others for me :-) (don't misunderstand me, i love Scotland as a beautiful country and i love whisky as well, the rivalry i feel is all about rugby)

Today we achieved an incredible goal, defeating a rugby giant like Australia, and we played very well too, we were fast and entertaining to watch. This is probably the best match I've seen from an Italian rugby fan point of view. We've seen a lot of misery and totally rightful criticism on us and our rugby movement as a whole. This time we didn't win only because it was a bad day for the opposing team, we did win because we were aggressive on defense, and sharp on offense as I've never seen before. This Italian young team, and the under 20 and 18 beneath them, might be special for the first time in our history, I really hope so. Youth was also probably the reason why we conceded some penalties or missed some good opportunities to make the win not dependent on an Australian mistake on the last kick. Thank you guys, make us proud, we need that!

We fought so many battles in the Six Nations over the years (i'm italian) and i always see Scotland as the long term rugby enemy, even if many times you prevailed...so compliments from a scot are worth more than others for me :-) (don't misunderstand me, i love Scotland as a beautiful country and i love whisky as well, the rivalry i feel is all about rugby)

@@rorywilson656 Generally, italian supporters feel some kind of rivalry between Italy and Scotland, speaking about rugby, but not everyone, certainly i do. I think it is in the spirit of a team vs a kind of equal team. Though, you know, scottish rugby is really more well respected than italian rugby, imho...until the past week at least, ahah. Your national team played lovely against the All Blacks yesterday, you have such good players like Darcy Graham, Finn Russell, Stuart Hogg, Hamish Watson. See you at the Six Nations! ;-)

Well done Italian brothers ! I was cheering so loud for you. It was a well deserved win. Very nice play style and flow. You did not collaps in the 2nd half like usual. And if Garbisi had been there It would have been a comfortable win with a safe margin. If i may say, It would be nice for the Italian team to have someone else to kick as good as Garbisi in was he is injured. I'm hyped for a strong Italian side who could be a strong contender in the 6 nations. It's gonna be lit to fight both Italia and New Zeland in the same bracket in the next world cup. Let's be realistic we are still so far away from yours and New Zealand's level of rugby, we will probably just give a good show of oureslves and be good sparring partners to both the likeliest winners. With the hope to sometimes feel like real threats. We are on the right track to become a first class team, and I just feel blessed to be able to see such a unthinkable transofmation. As much as the Italians celebrated beating Australia by 1 point at home like they won the world cup, they won't be a strong contender in the 6 nations. They aren't good enough yet. But it's progress from the days where Australia vs Italy was a foregone conclusion.
I'm a life long football fan, but watching rugby is always a pleasure, especially when Italy, my national team, is playing. Today we achieved an incredible goal, defeating a rugby giant like Australia, and we played very well too, we were fast and entertaining to watch. Last weekend too Italy played a wonderful match against Samoa. I'm so proud of you guys!! Hang in there guys the whole nation is backing you!

This is probably the best match I've seen from an Italian rugby fan point of view.
We've seen a lot of misery and totally rightful criticism on us and our rugby movement as a whole.
This time we didn't win only because it was a bad day for the opposing team, we did win because we were aggressive on defense, and sharp on offense as I've never seen before. This Italian young team, and the under 20 and 18 beneath them, might be special for the first time in our history, I really hope so.
Youth was also probably the reason why we conceded some penalties or missed some good opportunities to make the win not dependent on an Australian mistake on the last kick.
Thank you guys, make us proud, we need that!

Oh my God ! in the same city where we had beaten Springboks, today we beat Wallabies: Florence "the Magnificent" with its history, art and culture!
