I made the salt dough up this morning and have a question ... Used my Kitchen-Aide and followed directions (or so I think), but find the dough is rather gritty feeling from the salt. I've had it resting, but no change. I've never used salt dough before, so I have no idea how it's supposed to feel. Does the dough have a gritty texture?? Thank you for any help/advice offered.
Don't worry about the amount of "SALT" This is "NOT" an eating dough, listen to the instruction, this is used for display/decoration purposes.
Particularly useful looking ahead to visiting again.

Maybe u used a rock salt? Try to use refined iodized salt

It is called dead dough and is only meant for decorative pieces, you are not suppoused to eat it.
