@@sweetpea6905 So sorry, just saw your note. I mix 1/2 and 1/2 water and vinegar and yes, it is difficult to open. What you have to do is Scream (No, just kidding). You jiggle the toggle from side to side with a subtle grip ; just rock the grooves in the side left to right with some pressure with your hand into the machine. Just did mine last night. Love it! The pads wash good also, but I have two or three I use.
