Theo you are so amazing, knowing all this and putting things in like that I sure is listening to everything you do because I don’t know anything of that kind of stuff. Thank you very very much for sharing all this to me. Thank you my little brother
I live in the US, but found you guys through Cruising the Cut and Jono. I agree, lithium makes so much sense. Lighter and more usable power plus lifetime cost are cheaper. I am about 5 years out to full time van life.
Theo don't forget to put a long handled slash hook and sharpening stone in your horse box for when you want to clear your land , its the best for clearing brambles , your be lost with out it , Bee my favorite tool is a long handled grubber its a must , try to get a light weight old second hand , wish i was young again , looking forward to see you 2 on the land , all the best
Love it for you guys!! You're so near to being finished and off to a new life. I also appreciate the bulkhead lighting. I do plan to go steampunk and use copper piping throughout.
Worth the wait.... your van looks fantastic from inside and out . You've given me so many ideas for my van build. Good luck with the land build as well.
I design and build small-scale Solar Systems for people. Ignore anyone who criticizes you. You have done an EXCELLENT job! What did Luke Skywalker say to the Cowboy? "May the Horse be with you!"
What a great journey you have been on .watched you convert the van from scratch .one word Awesome . Enjoy the trip down to your land in Portugal Keep safe guys and keep blogs or vlogs coming
Van is looking amazing! You have done such a professional job. I know it would have been more expensive, but would have loved to see your conduit to your lighting done in copper 🙂 good luck in Portugal! Can't wait to see your next video.
Great work guys! Top shelf solar system for sure!!!!!! I have a couple Victron 100/50 controllers in a rig; awesome. The proximity of the controller to battery will work well with Victron's internal temp sensor. Can you monitor the controller from your phone? That's a cool feature if you got it. Also guys, please consider ventilation when you close up the "solar" compartment.
Hi Theo & Bee, Van looking fantastic all that electrical kit in the back, Bee will be able to say she can't take any more she's going to blow Jim. One little thing your light switch is upside down. Have a safe journey. ATB Glen x
Your panel according to Bimble although only 390 watts (only lol ) throws out up to 500 watts but your charge controller is only 30amps, when I ordered the same panel was told it needed a 40 amp controller. I am sure it is perfect as all products are top of the line and fitted by the best but this just confuses me, it really doesn't take a lot to confuse me. Absolutely loving the lighting, never seen it before. So excited for you both and hope to meet you in Portugal :-)
I missed the part about the Bimble, but I think that's a high voltage panel (35-40 volts) with less than 10 amps current. The controller takes 100 volts and about 450 watts. There should be good headroom (panel voltage - battery voltage) for the MPPT to make more amps, but 30 amps should do it fine it seems. I'm not an expert, but these larger 60 module panels don't have much of a current rating, maybe 9.5.
AMAZINGLY HOW SUPER EXCITED you get over little things Did u file the rough edges from the Drilled Holes Personally i would have repositioned the Batteries to the Centre idealy over the Axle distributing the Weight better instead of Loading the Rear Corner up
I think I’ve worked out why you had that short and almost fire in Finland (think it was)...from memory you showed a small link cable from the DCDC charger to the fuse(about 3 inch long) that was scorched. It appears youve got 3 or 4 cables on the DCDC charger going in to 1 terminal.. My guess is the terminal screw had worked loose over time due to not clamping all the cables properly causing arcing and sparking. I’ve seen it so many times being an electrician on household sockets. My recommendation would be to buy a ‘power distribution post’ and run all cables to that then take a single cable from the post to the DCDC charger. Not saying how it was installed was wrong..just that I would do this as it is much safer. hope what I’ve wrote makes sense...if not, gimme a shout and I’ll do you a wiring diagram and email it to you 👍🏼
Awww guys that looks the dogs!!! Nice work, hope tou enjoy the nice warm weather over there, not like me in sunny Manchester hahaha hope all goes well, hopefully bump into you again one day :) :) peace!
Looking good! Love the uber-neat wiring! Would be really interested to hear how you get on with the Lithiums and if you think they are worth the extra money over AGMs.
Hey guys, love the build! Just wondering how you installed the solar panel on to your front runner? I’m doing something similar and didn’t know if you just drilled into the rack or not? Cheers!
That was a super epic intro!! Thank you for sharing your solar set up. We haven't gotten to that step yet but that is the step that probably scares us the most lol
Just found you guys on UA-cam. Funny you are moving to Portugal. I am doing research on how to do a camper van to decide if I will do it or not. Your build is amazing hopefully some day we can share a cup of coffee and check each other’s built
"Look at that mess!" A bit harsh on Theo that :) I, among others, can't wait to see the land videos. May your wifi always be strong. Make the most of the rest on the ferry/ cruise.
Absolutely bloody brilliant, my dears! 😊 👍 👍 👍 Incredible work! You must be knackered! Really looking forward to more, and also seeing Gingy (Gingie?) All love, and best wishes, Claire, Berlin 😘 😘 😘 ✌ 👍 👍 👍
Hi. really good video. Do you know if there is one link ( tutorial ) you can suggest me, to learn to make myself the same your elettric system, please? I like it ;-) thanks
Are you lot sure the light-switches are upsidedown? I am pretty sure some countries are different to the US. Australias light switch ON position is opposite to US ON position.
Maybe it's the beer talking Marge but you got a butt that won't quit. they got those big chewy pretzels here merJanthfgrr five dollars??!!!? get outta here
The van is looking great but I have to say that exposed conduit and it’s mounts for the lights should be copper to match your upside down light switches, plug sockets, sink and other bits of copper piping. That galvanised silver conduit looks awful, sorry. You definitely need a full height panel to hide and protect all that electrical kit. Good luck guys in your new adventure and have a safe trip. Bon Voyage.
You have been so particular with all you have done to the van (and all credit to you, it looks "super" amazing) but your light switches are upside down.
How much was the set up if you don’t mind me asking ? I’m trying to decide whether to go for something like a goal zero yeti to save space and have everything self contained or set up everything like you have. Is there any particular reason you didn’t go something like a goal zero yeti ?
Theo you are so amazing, knowing all this and putting things in like that I sure is listening to everything you do because I don’t know anything of that kind of stuff. Thank you very very much for sharing all this to me. Thank you my little brother
In't lithium brilliant :) And cheers for youtube for sending people to my video after this.
12kwh lithium pack here on my truck, with 2kw solar.

Been looking forward to your video all week and it didn't disappoint. The van is looking amazing !
I really like the way your control panel turned out. Clean, accessible, all in one place. Nice job!
I'm off to get our campervan solar system hooked up at Onboard Energy tomorrow - thanks for the recommendation!
Love, love, love the van. Can't wait to see what you do in Portugal. You two are wonderful together.

Thank you for the interesting video :) Why did you use two batteries instead of one big battery?
Good luck and safe journey. Look forward to seeing you in Portugal!
Love the old style electrical fittings, not convinced on the galv conduit but hey, each to their own, might look better when everything is finished :)
Nice setup mate
You two are frigging amazing how awesome is your van. Safe travels my friends. 🙏👍❤️🌟
Great work, you two. That is a super van you’ve built.
I’m looking forward to seeing the adventures you’ll have in it.
Happy Camping
Safe travels to Portugal the van looks beautiful.
Nice job guys - great choice with the LiFePO4 :)
Love the finishing touches 😍 especially the exposed lighting ! 😎
Looks so nice. Well done guys.

I would love to know where you purchased those lights, they are exactly what I am after, my build is industrial/steampunk themed.
So interesting. Following you is such a positive experience. Looking forward to Portugal and your land progress!! Keep keeping on!
The van's looking great! Thanks for the shout out!
Great job guys, and thanks for learning me up. Cant wait to get my van :)

Well done guys fantastic job you’ve done on the van thanks for sharing all the best in Portugal looking forward to more fantastic videos 👍🏻
Love what you’ve done to the van plus I think the older sprinter model you have looks much better than the latest one which is hideous!
Long awaited 😍 its 1:11am and i finally get a good start to the early morning 👌
Enjoy 🙏🏻
Will miss the van build vids now.. look forward to the portugal videos when you guys get there
Few more to come 👊🏻
Awww guys that looks the dogs!!! Nice work, hope tou enjoy the nice warm weather over there, not like me in sunny Manchester hahaha hope all goes well, hopefully bump into you again one day :) :) peace!

Looking really well B xx
Looking good! Love the uber-neat wiring! Would be really interested to hear how you get on with the Lithiums and if you think they are worth the extra money over AGMs.
Safe travels!
Hey guys, love the build! Just wondering how you installed the solar panel on to your front runner? I’m doing something similar and didn’t know if you just drilled into the rack or not? Cheers!
Great kit. Err why drill the lower profile on the corrugated roof panel?
That was a super epic intro!! Thank you for sharing your solar set up. We haven't gotten to that step yet but that is the step that probably scares us the most lol

Good luck travel safe to you both .
Love the setup , could you guys do a video about your thoughts for the future of van life for brits post brexit?
Fantastic job you have done, please don't knock yourselves out and get ill tho. 😀
Lithium battery's take away the anxiety of "never quite good enough" lead/acid. Sleep with your heads as far away as poss from the electrics.
Looks amazing. Have you had the van and trailer on a weigh bridge? Does it come under? All the best.
great video love you guys
Hi, do you have a link to the batteries?
I love your videos! You remind me of my grandparents so cool! Can you make videos more interesting to young people?
"Look at that mess!" A bit harsh on Theo that :) I, among others, can't wait to see the land videos. May your wifi always be strong. Make the most of the rest on the ferry/ cruise.
Absolutely bloody brilliant, my dears! 😊 👍 👍 👍

Really looking forward to more, and also seeing Gingy (Gingie?)
All love, and best wishes, Claire, Berlin 😘 😘 😘 ✌ 👍 👍 👍
Sikaflex 512 caravan is 221 in the US for those looking for it.
Hi. really good video. Do you know if there is one link ( tutorial ) you can suggest me, to learn to make myself the same your elettric system, please? I like it ;-) thanks
👏👏👏think of that lovely weather soon! When we are all freezing our nuts off! 🤣🤣
Are you lot sure the light-switches are upsidedown? I am pretty sure some countries are different to the US. Australias light switch ON position is opposite to US ON position.
Where can the battery brackets be found?
Do you have a product list for everything?
The lights seem bright...can you dim them?
Are you going to change to euro plugs when you have been in Portugal for a while?
Are you going to clad/ insulate the back doors.
Can you kindly provide a link for the On board Energy company?
Would have been awesome if you had gone into the details of the fuses. That really would have been helpful to people.
Have you done your trailer license? if so, how was it?
They are not the one's towing the trailer
Where did you get the batteries from?
Does anyone know Jonnos On Board Energy discount code, I’ve seen it in one of his videos but can’t find it now?
JONOPROMO (all capitals).
Did you get a diesel heat pump.
Do you have access to 24 volt DC in your unit.
Hi I live in Midlands. Would love to pick ur brain. Gon a buy a van this week or next. Excited.
Build an earthship self sustaining home out of recycled material, top notch they are
Indy projects drinking game, any time anyone says 'super' take a drink.
Maybe it's the beer talking Marge but you got a butt that won't quit.
they got those big chewy pretzels here merJanthfgrr five dollars??!!!? get outta here
@@MakeDoAndMend1 Not amazing, I think you find it's Super or Super Amazing
Hope you've got “amazing” in your drinking game!
Why would you consider a generator when u have a sterling power battery to battery on board ????
You guys in Portugal now?!
Just boarding the ferry right now 😀
Exciting times!
silver foil under the mattress will stop any mold
come back we miss you lol

Agree. You could use Rub n Buff which I've used on some of my steampunk'd motorbike to colour the metal - it works well.
You have been so particular with all you have done to the van (and all credit to you, it looks "super" amazing) but your light switches are upside down.
Bet the dashboard switches don't work that way, Safety and all that good stuff. Cheers from John.
Now I'm stumped, I bow to your superior switch knowledge.
In aviation switches turn off downwards!
And all this time I thought they were in a Sprinter van,
hahha made my day
Amazing good works 👍🌟😊👍🌟🌟
Safe travels all
😊😊🐈🚐💜🌟👍🌍🙏🙏🙏🌟🌟⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️🌍🌍🌍🌍
Anyone know what make of batteries they are?
Stirling 100Ah
Cheers
hmm, did you do ths?
???
Theo needs a hair cut. Great video you guys, love them
Ah, the old
So about £2500 in batteries. Not accessible for many people unfortunately :-(
Yeah just checked the batterys and even on sale they are over 2k for two .... wow
Travel Safe! :)
