I like that you talked about his Technical Skills, but this song is not great because of that only. The meaning of the song, the soul he sings it with, that's what truly makes this song a masterpiece.

Also, if you are reacting to Indian songs, many singers specially Arijit Singh don't even try to put any effort in singing on stage performance, he just come on stage and hmmnnnnmhmmmmmm + "some Lyrics" + hmmmhnnnnaaaaa "Some Lyrics" + end like that.
He never sings original version of his songs just like this one in the video also has a different singing style from the original album song and adds certain things which we can never expect to come. Always an added effect, sometimes good, sometimes bad, but mostly good.
If you react to his songs in future, then stage performance is fine but try to react to his music videos from movies, especially his songs like Laal Ishq, Aayat. Without proper music video, they cannot give that effect because of audience cheering and making Noice and Arijit connecting with his fans like making them sing along with him suppressing his own voice.... :")
