- We've finally found our Sailing boat a1998 Moody40 Mk2 CC.
As the custodians of this beautiful sailing boat we feel its our duty to uphold , maintain and upkeep our Moody to retain it classical original looks .
Over the coming months we will share with viewers our plans on current and near future upgrades including some videos on essential maintenance, how we maintain its Volvo MD22L-B motor and some general maintenance.
Our Moody does require a little work with some refurbishing of water stained internal timber as a result of leaky window seals,its also going to require a new bill of health for its electrical wiring and systems.
While were still in Sicily May-to mid June we are going back onto the hardstand (again) to have the boatyard replace all of the through hull fittings with a full upgrade to composite Trudesign fittings. So for those interested in those sort of videos stay tuned..
Meanwhile come sailing and exploring with us as we share our travel videos as we head towards Tunisia on the great Continent of Africa stopping off and taking time out exploring some small Italian territorial Islands before navigating the final leg of our journey to the African coastline.

Looks great guys and I like your solar + lithium plan! Ahh the boat rule of threes……every boat job takes three times as long as you thought, costs three times as much and you’ll discover another three new bost jobs doing it 😛
@@slowtravelling2196 Hi Craig hope your season has been exciting. Were looking at being in Greece next season via a DNV ,currently wintering in Porto Montenegro. Quick question re your stay at the boat yard at Cleopatra Preveza ,Is the Ionian yard the yard thats at the far end far left side as your looking across from Preveza ? We're looking to be able to be on the hard and do some major work on our Volvo MD22 motor ,Saildrive rubber gasket flange replacement and copper coat but would be good if we can stay on the boat at the yard..
Were there restrictions on what you could do and whether you were able to stay on the boat while in the yard ...month or more? Cheers- Nige
@@nigeanddonnassailingadventures We had a great season thank you! Ionian is the 'middle' yard in Preveza which is where we kept our boat. Have only good things to say, fine to stay onboard and do your own work at Ionian. they have a small workshop for you to use. Right to left then three yards are Cleopatra, Ionian and Aktio. They all allow for you to stay onboard. Cleopatra has some restrictions on outside tradespeople, as they operate their own maintenance department. Any other questions let me know!
