Willys CJ3A Jeep-a-trench found in the woods

- A year ago I found out about this old Willys Jeep. Earlier this past summer I tried to find it. I was not able to find it because of the thick greenery and weeds that had it well hidden, and the fact that I didn't have more exact and specifics of it's location on this property. I recently talked to the owner of this jeep and got more detailed directions of it's resting spot, and was able to find it.
"I don't know how we'd ever get it out of here" lol, clearly not a jeep owner.
Jack it up take it apart save it!
if that is still there would be interested getting it
Holly cow! This is amazing! I hope you could manage to save and restore her! Good luck!!!
Put gas and a battery in it, pump up the tires and drive it out. Very fun video.
+Big horn In jest, that is Exactly what I was thinking. I had a M38A1 submersible and when I found it, it looked just like that; rusted out seats and gas tank. After cleaning out the leaves and taking the driver seat and gas tank out, I dropped all the fluids, hooked a temporary fuel line to a jug, aired up the tires, and drove it. I put metal in the floors, driver seat, tires, rotary cap, button, and lights and drove it everywhere I wanted to. I have never been happier driving 35mph. It pulled like a tractor. Man I hated to sell it, but needed the money to fix my daily driver.
lol its practically part of the ground
I understand. It would be a resurrection! I wish you could have seen mine, because it was in the same condition. Take a battery out there and see if it will turn over…it would be awesome if it spun over, would it not?
MyUA-camChannel - - damn that's a heartbreaker indeed! (And I was just going to ask if you'd be willin' to swap some photos of yours & my Jeeps.) Eh, you got some good memories I'm sure!
+Outside I've had my Jeep buried deeper, lol.
craigslist be like
"runs great, good condition"
its really in good condition for sitting in the woods
+TCarnage "newly painted and recently serviced".
you mean "ran when parked" haha
Make sure you bring your camera along when you rescue this old girl. Pretty interesting piece of mechanical history.
oh I hope you drag er out! I'll be watching!
if i known where you where at i would give you about $750
i love jeeps i think you allready found that in the first line
Man you don't see those everyday. Attachments on that are worth more than the jeep. definitely buy it!
I,ll b Right There , HONEY. ROADTRIP
LOAD UP THE RECOVERY EQUIPMENT !!!!
chainsaw and a skidsteer my man ,get er done.
pretty much, but considering the neanderthals I've seen run many skidsteers, I don't think I want someone doing that. And skid steers can go many places, but they really aren't best off road if the terrain gets too soft, rough, or steep.

Tracked ones are 4 times the machines wheeled ones are in off-road situations.
Thats an awesome Willys. Why can't I have your luck and find one like that.
I am jealous...
So did you end up getting it out? Id like to see the video if you retrieving it! I used to have a rollback and did a few interesting things with it including recover things from the woods.
id I had the money I would come get it is it on your property or state or federal land. wh knows I may get some money. I t got to that spot can get out of that spot LOL
If that was in UK it would have gone back to nature long time ago.
Get off my property
County clerk can tell you who to see
Good stuff. Hope you can save it.
WOW What a Treasure !!!
It makes me wonder why it wasn't put in the corner of an old barn with a tarp tossed over it.
+Bill Blinky Ran out of gas right there, perhaps?
That's got to be it.
Back in the day, most stuff was stored outside. Buildings were a luxury.
Update? Did you get it out and restored to running?
Wow that's awesome
Was this jeep ever recovered?
Did you get the old girl out ?
+KC7NOA Yeah, it's been restored. Look over there----->
+MGTOW lol .. i dont see your video on the right side .... ill need to get a link or search your library
+KC7NOA ok , found another reference to it .... still no deal. gona just be a frame in another 30years
- built back when Jeeps didn't rot out.
Well, I think that had more do do with the lack of road salt. Back in the day you only spread salt on the land of your enemies, now we poison our own land. Ah, sweet "progress".
is that jeep still out in the woods ? send me a message. i can save it. if it can be had
fresh juice and a new battery? Maybe not. Will be an interesting recovery, one we would all like to see!
you can probably restore that jeep... md juan enterpirse in the Philippines has all parts of all model of army/military or civilian jeep.. Philippines is the number distributor/restorer of jeep .. we can deliver you "jeep in a crate" four your information.. thanks...
Hope you get it out of there keep us updated if you can
so what happened to it? is it still out there?
That poor jeep, whoever abandoned it out there is the living embodiment of the word "d*ckbag"......
Gotta be RARE as hell !!!!
So - Does anyone know if he was able to get that Jeep out of the ground and into a shop? I'd love to see those old school attachments in action...
This guy finds a cool old jeep, the kid in the last video is finding silver coins with a metal detector, you know what I friggin find?...
Lint, in my my pockets! I never find cool stuff. 😶
find a logger with a timberjack log skidder...have it out in no time.
Wow that's a rare piece and its pretty solid I would definitely get its cleaned up and get it free
I would fix that jeep up, but first pull it out of there with a tractor/Bob Cat
And..........
Was it recovered to be restored ?
Very cool hope ya get it out
start with 4 ea 700x16, and ply tires, a chain saw and a recovery winch!
Did you get it out?
I would love to restore that.....any chances?
Well worth your time. The spoke wheel shows that it’s an early one.
Motors looks to be all there maybe see if the motor and drivetrain is siezed up then try to get it running use that winch on the front to pull it out lol
the winches were PTO
i just bout a 59 cj5 about the same condition
one cool find - T=up
now that is cool
It's simple to get it out.... Just use another Jeep. Lol.
cool find
So,, did you save it ?
wow! nice little truck!
save it!!!!!
Very cool! Did you get it?
How much y'all?
I sure wish I had those parts for my '46 CJ-2A!
Yeah. Me too.
That’s in better condition then any Jeep I’ve ever bought. Did you get it out?
At least part it out don’t let all of it rot
people on craigslist be like, "like new condition"
Ya, when when I look for a 60 year old vehicle the first thing I ask is: "is the leather cracked?" rofl.
A jack, a wench, a trailer, and a quad
Robert Long - - you mean winch? Although a good bar-wench could do us some good too. L.o.L.! ;-p~~~
Where are these?
PLEASE tell me you recovered this piece of history. It belongs RESTORED!
Any update on this?
✔ This is well worth saving. There is no mention where this took place. I'm hoping someone can save this jeep. How about posting location, if you can't get it out, let someone else try.
should have brought a battery and a can of gas, you could've drove her out of there.....
brings back memories of my first 4 wheel drive, a 51 M38, loved it
shoot it 525 times with your 22 maybe thats all it needs??
Bad ass brother
wish I could find jeeps like that in az !!
did you ever get it out? is it still there?
considered abandoned just take it
so you did not get it dude
I love finding stuff like this!
well? what happend to it
Compro um destes carros.
a drop of oil and some love
you can do if anyone can
Did you get it!?
did you get it yet?
I saw Bigfoot
L's swap it
I think this is a CJ2A. The CJ3 had the really tall hood. Great find
the cj3a's had the short hood like that but the cj3b's were the ones with tall hoods
The CJ2A had a 2 piece windshield.
Leroy Lowe - - I agree as my '46 (-2A) has a 2-pc windshield. I think another indicator is the cut-out center piece (of 3), just underneath the windshield. Mine has a single, solid piece indicative of a CJ-2A.
ok
That's nothing once you clear a working area. Best bet is to take it apart bolt by bolt. Snap them, cut them or spin them off- it will come apart. Once it's down to a shell, build a skid out of some logs and pull it out with your Jeep.
I read the owner of the property shot this fucking guy for tresspassing trying to pull this Jeep out with no permission. Now he is buried beside the Jeep...
Scrap metal
do you got any up dates?
