I can share my experience: learning by doing and the more time you invest consistently, the better you will get! you need patience, because these projects cost a lot of time. and don't be too hard on yourself. I started with a simple beanie, without knowing anything about crocheting, and just did it. it was definitely not perfect, but the amazing feeling to have something selfmade in your hands is so fulfilling and motivating. so start simple and just do it. in a fee days, you could have your first piece of clothing already! :) just watch tutorials for whatever you wanna make and if you don't get it right away, try something easier and you'll learn step by step. after a few weeks you could have enough understanding for inventing your own patterns. go for it! :)

make a regular bra top with picot stitch going around and separately make 3 flower granny squares to slip stitch together. hope that helps
