I love gamegrumps because to anyone who looks at my screen only sees a video of pleasant classic games, but in reality I am listening to 2 grown men say shidded and farded for 30 minutes.

Much more exciting than the Dan vs. Arin game, I was on the edge of my seat wondering if Shidded or Farded would win.

It reminds me of a story Dan told about an old coworker of his who would just sit and meow while at her desk, and she said something along the lines of "not a lot of people can hang with my meows"

I don't know whether they meant to do this as a comedic device for the audience or not, but sometimes repetition like this really works. I started the episode smiling at every shid and fard, and by the end of it over the course of being broken down by it, I'm dying.
My favorite episode is when they talk about shidding and fardding for a looooooong time.

After Arin took the double and raised the stakes, he lost his turn because he MUST get the white piece off the Bar but 6s can’t do that. He couldn’t use all four 6s. Sad, but he didn’t “skip” his turn. The doubling action was irrelevant to getting double 6s on the dice right after.

i have literally no idea what is going on in the last game "othello" as i have never heard of it or know the rules, yet still it is funny to watch.
Basically, you have to place your piece in a row, column, or diagonal, so that your opponent's piece or pieces are between one of your pieces already there and the one you just played. All your opponent's pieces that are between then become yours.
The walls are desirable since they can only be taken from one direction, while the corners cannot be taken at all once claimed.
I like how Dan says "You really should see Lord of the Rings" to Arin like it's visiting a doctor for an annual checkup

Hey Arin, that "gomoku" isn't actually Go, its a version of go where you only have to put 5 pieces in a row before your opponent, kinda like connect4 but with a really big board
