amazingdany I have to disagree Ninja Gaiden 2 definitely went past those standards on a whole other lever story and gameplay was great. But I agree on Ninja Gaiden 3 though thats a junk game.

Not nearly as balanced(chapter 11 master ninja for example is fun but come on its also cheap as hell lol). Of course not a fair comparison because black is the ultimate version of ninja gaiden 2004. Ketsu and dark dragon are op, I love it! Those bone guys are so annoying because they don't juggle and they stagger our blocks but they always drop red or blue so once one dies you can kill about 4 or 5 before you have to take the health. Well played swiching to dark dragon, save some battery life and finger cramps.
How do you do that move you did on the last one with the pink sword? Or what's the name of the move on the list? Where u put sword in them for like 3-4 seconds
You truly are a master JTB. I’ve watched all of your NGB videos, I’ve learned a lot from your tutorials, thanks for putting them up. I’m playing NGB on very hard on Xbox One. I’m getting my ass handed to me on the Great Bridge and Stadium challenges because of berserkers. I just can’t seem to figure them out. Tried low health UF, DDB, and VF w/potency. Having a hard time with camera controlling only 1 berserker on screen during the Great Bridge challenge because it’s a small area and they keep casting multiple fireballs. I can rip through all other enemies and most bosses (awakened Alama on very hard took some time). Any tips on berserkers, perhaps other videos?
Thanks for the kind words and I'm glad you're getting some good tips from the videos. Berserkers are one of those enemies you have to fight a lot in order to really know when they're going to do certain things. General rule of thumb for them though is always let them attack first, they will break your guard and then you can cancel this with a roll and follow up with a >Y or >YYY with a heavy weapon of Flails. Always be patient with them and never over extend, once you get used to their patterns you'll start knowing when you can go for an attack and when to back off. Hope this helps, a few others have asked for a Berserker tutorial as well so I should be able to get one together soon.

I honestly hate the berserkers that is a freaking hard enemy to defeat and always fucking bloking, like shit. Do you know any moves that can help me defeat them faster?
Key to taking out berserkers is waiting for them to attack you and roll out of the way, then cancel your roll into an attack. Heavy weapons work best, like the Dabi or low health UF. Flails >YYY with potency is very effective also.
Above normal the Plasma Sword is the reward for the 49th scarab from Murumasa. This challenge is intended to be completed in chapter 13 so you will have to wait until chapter 14 or 15 to get the Plasma Sword.
Honestly for me, the hardest challenge is Archives on Master Ninja. This one is second place for sure. The rest really aren't that bad for me. But I've been spit up and chewed up by this game so much I was forced to get at that level...
The Archive challenge is super tough but I only think that if you fight it all on the ground floor. If you abuse the upper levels then it's super easy. First time through I found the Very Hard stadium challenge the toughest, Ogres and Berserkers were a deadly combination back when the game was new and people hadn't figured out the best way to take them down. I love this challenge because of the ninja start, combo potential is fantastic :)
0JoeButton0 I tried the upper floors trick. My biggest problem is camera management and the combo when two cat fiends catch you in the air and instakill you. Also, certain objects delay your fall making you easy for ninjas and cats to combo. I just seem to have really crummy luck with it. This challenge though is probably overall the hardest because there really isn't much in the way of exploits to beat it. I know I did this one with the Dark Dragon Blade and was *pissed* when I realized I only get a Talisman for it. By this point, I had so much I could do the Ch 15 Boss Gauntlet and have enough to replace nearly every item I had.

That's dead soul bind with the Kitetsu, done by inputting either >X or XX>X and pressing X again to take health from the enemy it connects with.

How does Parrying Berserkers work. Done it to them a few times. But not sure how.
Do you mean the counter attack? If so the only move of theirs you can counter if their front to back swing, otherwise they will just guard break you.

You get it for 49 scarabs on every difficulty above normal. The earliest you can get is chapter 14 unfortunately.

You need 49 on any mode above Normal.
