With the Neural plugs, try tweak the plugin input to clean up tones, and compensate the output. It is crucial to get good sounds from them. They are very good, but very sensitive to input volume. I own several of their plugins, and often do -10 on the input gain & +10 output to get the tonez I like.

I'm partial to the Cory Wong, but also like the Tone King, SLO and Darkglass. I have several more, and they are all good at particular things. They are a little hi-fi sounding, imo.
It’s funny, Archetype Plini X is an amazing update for users of the original, and just okay for us who didn’t have it haha. For me, Archetype Mateus Asato just has top notch cleans, and Mixwave Spirit Box rhythm amp just rips. (That and the lead amp for Plini were modeled after 5150s.) I could see myself potentially layering Mixwave Spirit Box with Archetype Plini for quad tracking though, I need to see how they fit together. So maybe if this goes on sale I might pick it up. Anyways, I really enjoy your reviews and your shirts are always slick!

I had the mateus one first, and I use the Plini way more. Plini, Morgan, and Nolly. Then I'll go tone King then mateus. Nameless, Petrucci are the ones I use the least. So it's not a "for us" thing. It depends what youre going for and certain cleans Morgan beats out Asato all day
Yeah the input level on your interface need to be set at 0. You're putting input gain into another input gain if not. Why the chuggalini was super hot and you're getting that crackle...and just didnt sound very nice.

You need to check McRocklin Suite by Polychrome DSP, just a wealth of truly quality shred/synth wave sounds (and more : ) )
