I posted this comment on another channel and this is my experience with it. "I hate this gimbal with passion. It's been over a year since I bought it and I still cannot use it. I have Ricoh Theta for Matterport tours, I have DJI Air2 for drone photos and I am totally comfortable with those. No matter how many videos I watched, and how much time I spent trying to learn it, I could never make it work the way expected. The multitude of functions assigned to the same buttons is massively confusing. When switching between modes, the light indicator is so tiny that I would need a magnifying glass to tell what mode is on. It disconnects constantly even the firmware is updated and the battery is charged. It drains the phone battery super quickly. I told my son about it and his response was "I told you to get DJI but you didn't listen". Not promoting DJI on here. I spent money on this gimbal, so much time wasted watching tons of videos to learn and all for nothing. I am at the point of cutting my losses and going a different route."

Hello Andy, thanks for the comment. Glad the video helped. Reguarding your question, I usually film in landscape in 4k resolution, and I film my subject keeping the frame a bit wider. recommand ZY cami, If you don't have particularly high shooting requirements, ZY cami is enough, and 85% functions are free. Stacam is more professional and has more functions, but you need to buy a membership
Just like many phones my galaxy s22 ultra also have 0.6 wide angle lens. I would like to film in 0.6x mode but you video shows StaCam zoom range starts from 1x. Is it possible to film in 0.6x mode?
I just bought this Gimbal. On my samsung Galaxy s20 this is the case: In the Stacam app I can choose between the regular lens and the ultrawide lens (and selfie lens) . The telephoto lens is not an option. When zooming it seems like the app does not switch between lenses but zooms digitally. On the other Zhiyun app - ZY Cami - only the regular lens and selfie lens are available. You can also use the phones regular camera app or another camera app. Then you can switch between lenses and use the one you want, but you have to do it from the phone screen. The gimbal can only controll start stop recording/take photo in my samsung camera app. The zoom wheel does not work there. All this might be different on another phone model, I have only tested it on my s20.
I turned it on without putting the phone on and it did shake a lot. But after some time it stopped shaking. Should I be worried? Btw the gimbal is working fine. No issues so far
This is the most useful tutorial so far. I have this device and despite @mamoair efforts, it still gives me some trouble, sometimes its like it have a willl of its own. sometimes when I push the mode button it stays in the L mode, anybody knows why this happens?

it would be dope if they added the phones male connector towards the motor, this way you can slide the phone into the socket for it to charge and as another way to connect to the gimbal
Great idea, has been attempted but many users often broke that male connector off too easily. Cable is easier to replace than the board with the usb male port plug.
FYI -If you press and hold the Function (Fn) Button on the side when you have the magnetic lights and built-in turned on, it will turn on ONLY the built-in light. If you press it when the lights are off, it will turn on ONLY the magnetic mount lights! Not sure why you would want this, but options are always a good thing.

One huge con is that you can't go Vertigo mode in portrait mode if you have a big ass phone like my s23 ultra. While the Hohem iSteady M6 still manages to go vertigo in portrait even with the s23 ultra. Now you dont need to put your phone in portrait in order to shoot a vertigo shot for a portrait sequence, it is quite annoying because your phone will shoot it in landscape and you will have to edit to portrait in an editing software.

Has anyone tried the gimbal with out Electronic Image Stabilization. Why is it so wobbly? Its disappointing to buy a $200 Dolar gimbal that expects my phone to do the main purpuse of the gimbal. These gimbal companies are going down hill in quality. Some one told me the DJI OMs are the same thing.

don't turn it on before you mounting mobile phone and adjusting balance, or the gimbal will shake and in standby mode

Everytime I turn ON my gimbal and it is away blink red, so how do I know when it is full charge ?
When the gimbal is charging, all of indicator light stays solid, the charging is complete.

The resolution depends on the phone model, maybe you can use the gimbal to control the native camera to record video.

Has anyone tried the gimbal with out Electronic Image Stabilization. Why is it so wobbly?
Its disappointing to buy a $200 Dolar gimbal that expects my phone to do the main purpuse of the gimbal.
These gimbal companies are going down hill in quality.
Some one told me the DJI OMs are the same thing.

I don't trust them
because it needs to connect gimbal Bluetooth🤣 if you don't allow app access your location, it can not find where is your gimbal when connect Bluetooth
My locked mode doesn't stay locked at all
