Beautifully finished boat, love the hardtop and fit out. The electronics scare me, but that’s the future I suppose. Not so sure about the ride, but as long as you’re happy, that’s all that matters.
Awesome review mate can’t wait to get mine YF76 with 300 in few months keep the videos coming mate very hard to find on utube Excited about the new hull design a lot good things said buy people
Really enjoying your videos mate. I have a BC 615C with a Yamaha 150 and do regular island hopping and reef fishing trips with the family up here in central QLD. Considering a 670HT or YF700 extended cab in the next year or so. I’ll continue to watch your videos as I find them totally unbiased. Absolutely love my BC615 - very soft landing when trimmed right but like you say it’s certainly noisy. I regularly fish out of a cruise craft outsider that my mate has that’s obviously much quieter by comparison.
Hey man, yeah nothing wrong with BC it's just that the new extended cabs have taken the segment up a whole notch. 670ht is not a competitor for the YF70 total different class of boat. The YF70 is heavier, quieter and handles better than a 730 any day of the week, not to mention much more fishing friendly and all round comfortable. Crushers were game changing 10 plus years ago, were still good 5 years ago, now are sadly lagging behind the best in the market. Id only be looking at Surtees 700/750 game fisher or YF 70/76 if you want the best. The smaller crushers still offer good performance and bang for your buck. But anyway good luck with your search! Il get this thing out soon for a good flogging and see how it holds up
Nice and really quiet. When you get a chance post a bit about the automated pitch and roll control widget. I could hear what was said but I never understood how it works. Thanks
Yeah no worries I will definitely go over everything in detail, one feature at a time. Yesterday we just left it in auto, but I tell you what basically all roll was eliminated. So it felt like half the sea state was gone.
Hey man they are good, just keep in mind these things are now substantially more expensive so it's not a one for one comparison. But I tell you, get some bloody zipwakes! Amazing
@@BaitBallin I think you will find in a quatering following sea you will turn them off or in manual mode. I have a 6500 and have had some less than ideal situations in them conditions on auto. Turn them off or set them on manual and drives safe and dosnt dig in or broach whatever its called only in a following sea auto rest of the day in my experience
Did you go through the 10hr break-in period as recommended by Yamaha 🤔 Seems like you had it up around WOT pretty early on in the piece .. Good test run 👍
Just too hard for me to tow, launch, manage etc with out excessive help. So ended up only ever going out at one ramp etc and barely using. I want to get more mobile again towing up and down the coast and not need much help so can use more often. So it's a balance of ride vs usability and low maintenance
It's basically almost exactly the same through chop but more stable under way at any speed. The bow attitude is also improved compared to the southerner series which helps handling alot. The southerners keep their bow a bit low in the water.
Yellowfin is nice but the ride looked far from comfortable in what was kind of flat sea's If you really appreciate a good ride in tough conditions than an Edencraft might have been a better proposition.
Not everyone wants a stripped out dive boat that rocks and rolls constantly. They are soft but they arent my thing, each to their own.....hard tops all the way. The ultra vee boats make poor game fishing platforms in my opinion. Too unstable. Needs to be a balance, every boat is a compromise.
Seas weren't flat. Camera work was bad, just before I turned around in video, seas were all over the place. Unfortunately wasn't captured well in footage.
So you think the yellowfin rides as good as the carribean. Yet in the comments you say its ride is basicly the same as the surtes/ barcrushes only a bit more stable. Yet in previous videos on the crusader you were saying how much better than the surtees the carribean was. In all honestly do you really think the yellowfin will compare to 7m carribeans. Ie. Cruseder23 2300 2400 ? Haines hunters ect. I do enjoy your videos and apreciate the time you put into creating them but yellowfin doesnt compare to big heavy glass boats in same size bracket.
Beats BC hands down. Similar to Surtees 700gf but more stable under way. Not quite up to 2300 but has a very similar feel on the water. I believe the zipwakes are also contributing alot here and I didn't have them on my Caribbean. All I can say is, for a 7m plate boat it's very impressive and I'd recommend going for a run in one.
Thanks for the reply. I've just got a carribean 2400 Diesel sterndrive. I actually had it parked next to your old crusader last month. Not really interested in plate boats even though the yellow fin did sound nice and quiet vs gamefisher

It's dry, safe, good layout, comfortable etc. won't win any speed races offshore but will be a good platform for fishing and family stuff
Great video!! Looking forward to the in depth look at all the gadgets and design changes
You got it!
Great boat mate, congrats. Looking forward to more videos this summer. I have also been looking at these boats.
Thanks mate, yes very very nice rigs. Worth a look for sure.
Very nice! Congrats on the new rig!
Thanks man, I'm very happy with it. Going to make offshore boating alot more enjoyable
Good choice ! I honestly think these are a really well balanced boat.
Absolutely. We were pleasantly surprised

Excited about the new hull design a lot good things said buy people
No worries yeah they handle better, have a better bow attitude etc. You will love it no doubt.
@@BaitBallin awesome buddy looks nice in black
Thanks for the real world test.want see more rough weather video!🎉
Yep we will get it out there in some big stuff when we start fishing soon.
Excellent mate!
Well done .
I used zip wakes on auto when I hired the 700YF …. They are fantastic
Yep absolutely game changing hey
Btw
You will probably get 80 out of it if the tides running in your favour. 😂
Yep good point

Great boat mate well done 👏 🇦🇺👏👍
Thanks man, it dead set blew me away. These YF guys really nailed this upgrade
Congrats bro fantastic 🍾
Thanks man, absolute weapon on the water

Good stuff mate been following you from the start… I am about to purchase a 670ht soon please tell me they are still a good boat.

@@BaitBallin cheers mate well done on the new rig look forward to the upcoming videos
Don't worry about the BC 670 they are a great boat and you'll be more than happy with it, trust me.
@@ozhunter2505 yeah thanks honestly I really like the looks of it and everything about it suits me perfectly.
I think you need one of the poles for filming outside the boat underway.
Yeah good idea.
How does it handle with the Zipwakes off? The intrinsic handling of the hull then isn't masked by electronic correction.
Haven't tried it yet, but can definitely tell you I won't be using it without them. Game changer
@@BaitBallinCongrats on the boat. Those V6 Yamahas certainly pack a punch. Everywhere! The bottom end and midrange torque is outstanding !
Thankyou, yeah it was only a short muck around, but it has heaps of grunt at all rpm.

It sure sounds a lot softer

Good test run 👍
It's in progress 😁
Should have gone seakeeper ride system instead of zip wakes, next level. Everything else 👌
Bro, only half the story
Are the seekeepers actually worth the price difference vs zipwakes ?
nice vid
I think most forward control Quintrex from 4.2M up have tilt steering.
Geez, I've been living under a rock then
So many nice gadgets, I think my brain would explode trying to figure them out.
🤣
What happened with the carriers? You were going all in on having a heavy glass boat over ally then went back any reasons?
Just too hard for me to tow, launch, manage etc with out excessive help. So ended up only ever going out at one ramp etc and barely using. I want to get more mobile again towing up and down the coast and not need much help so can use more often. So it's a balance of ride vs usability and low maintenance
@@BaitBallin fair call there the yf def looks like a sweet rig and will do exactly what your intending too keep up the vids👌
Why did you replace your carabean ?
I'm too old and tired to be working on boats and struggling. It may not look like it so much, but I am very limited physically. Needed easier again.
So it rides even softer than a surtees now?!?
It's basically almost exactly the same through chop but more stable under way at any speed. The bow attitude is also improved compared to the southerner series which helps handling alot. The southerners keep their bow a bit low in the water.
Jesus. Thats a big call
If it wernt for the hull weight that would make next to no sense
Well it's the real deal. What ever they have done with this boat, it has worked.
I know right? And probably not 250k for a same size boat.
Yellowfin is nice but the ride looked far from comfortable in what was kind of flat sea's If you really appreciate a good ride in tough conditions than an Edencraft might have been a better proposition.

A ballast tank would do wonders for a edencraft

Yeah 2300 and 2400 are sweet rigs man all good
@JasonWakefield-e1w
The 2400 would dwarf the 2300 I would think 🤔
Haven't seen the 2400 next to a 2300 but it dwarfed the 23 crusader that old mate use to have.
