I’m 69 years old and had a right knee replacement six weeks ago. I’ve been interested in S&T for awhile. I figure it would be worth a try since the swing doesn’t depend a lot on the right leg. While in rehab I watched every video Jess has put out about stack and tilt. Started slow in the basement with half swings. Went to driving range ten days ago and worked on short irons. Three days ago long irons and driver. Played with one of my golf buddy’s yesterday for the first time in two months. I’m a ten handicap and shot an 81 yesterday with three puts short by an inch. I’m down the middle on 90% of my drives. I’m out driving my partner and am very comfortable with long irons instead of utility woods. My ball striking is straight , higher than average loft and effortless. My body feels great with zero lower back pain. Jess, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your videos. Thank you so much.
I started using stack and tilt about 2 months ago and it has changed my golf game tremendously. I am hitting the ball with more consistency and power than I ever did. I watched several U Tube instructors which helped me to understand the fundamentals but I found their message was not consistent. One instructor literally changed his philosophy on an important part of the golf swing. I came across your videos while doing research to find an instructor who was consistent in message, knowledgeable in stack and tilt, and did a good job in explaining the fundamentals. Your videos are excellent. I look for them daily to help me with my practice sessions and they have helped me improve my understanding of stack and tilt, and most importantly, have improved my golf game. I can’t wait to go to the range to practice what I learned in this lesson. Thanks for the great instruction. Keep the videos coming!!!
Thanks for explaining..in detail..about these fundamentals. I've been seriously attacking stack and tilt for about 2 weeks now, and was struggling at the range today. Seeing this older video, made me realize I had too much weight forward with my upper body. Also, practicing the 3 to 8 is awesome...I am hitting the ball almost as far as full swing but a lot straighter. Thanks for being out there for us, and will continue to peruse your videos.
I’ve been watching your videos for a week and I’m all in on the S&T swing. I took it to range and had very solid results and watch 9 videos. Still need more work on the driver setup and backswing angle. But the irons are so much better than ever. Next weekend I’m taking it the course.
Yes sir Larry! It’s golden to use the 3-9 for practice a lot of golfers could live on that motion and play great golf by controlling and executing the 3 fundamentals
Another great video. Recently have been making great contact with driver and 3W off of the tee, but not with irons. Think I may be standing up through impact trying to get my hips tucked..
I thought center of swing or bottom of the swing arc is always between your feet in the middle of the stance or below the sternum never under left shoulder. What am I missing here?
Loving your videos Jess thank you so much. Swinging from P3 to P9 how much distance would you expect to lose on say an 8 iron if a full swing would be 150 yards?
Hi Jess, thank you for the video - well explained. I struggle with maintaining the handle forward as I try to incorporate the wrist action in the full swing. Do you have any suggestions for maintaining the club handle forward during the transition and downswing? Thanks
I have a problem with hooking the ball. Is this most likely to be that the club face is too closed at impact or a ball position issue. Any tips to rectify this Jess?
It’s a combination of the path too far to the right and the face too closed to the path. Check your face angle at address sometimes it starts at P1 set up. Thanks!
I’ve been looking at you and Tom saguto and have been a one plane swinger ie moe Norman. I’m caught between two swings and I’ve tried this for several months with limited success. Especially with irons when I take it back I end up hitting some shanks so I concentrate on taking it just a little outside. Feel I’m too steep looking at my divots so how to get more shallow without causing other problems. Thoughts and thx.
Jess Frank Golf Academy Thx. I do what u suggested for a compact swing and pressing biceps against chest ala Hogan. I’ll hit the range today and see. Appreciate your vids and help.
Introduced to you via Tom Saguto’s vid. Question: I’m starting to adopt this S&T technique. I am hitting it crispier and seemingly longer. However, I’m still occasionally blocking around 10 degrees to the right of the target. Having introduced me to P1-10, should I more on P8 with arms extended? Would I be unintentionally throwing it to right field?
Hey Tim! welcome and thank you for checking out my videos! Depending on your swing your arms should be extended at P8. If you are blocking right I would make sure your club face angle is not open to the path but closed to the shaft. Sometimes extending at P8 will unintentionally open the face to path. Hope this helps!
I am 87 with two new hips. I have never had any golf lessons but I am looking forward to next season as a result of your Stack and Tilt tips.I will let you know how things are going in April when our Sea Isle City VFW golf league resumes. Fran

Thank you so much Gary that’s incredible for just having a knee replacement! So happy for your immediate success!
Thank you
You are very welcome Van!!
Another crystal clear session. Thanks Jess. Stay safe-Russ
Thank you Russ!
Thanks for the simple easy to follow instruction for older golfers that have had to adjust to the "golden years".
Thank you Dean! Appreciate the kind words!

Appreciate it Pete!!! Thank you!
I love the idea of stack & tilt , I'm having trouble turning my hips thanks for your help.PS 84 years old love the game.
Nice Patrick! Let your left knee bend and your right knee extend in the backswing this should help

Awesome Jim! Let me know how it goes!
Great video Jess, can't wait to try this on the range and the golf course 👍
Thank you Rob!
3 to 9... L to L as Mike Malaska calls it... great drill !!!!

great job,, thanks,,
Thank you Richard!
Hi jess
Another great video
Bill
Thanks Bill!
Another great video. Recently have been making great contact with driver and 3W off of the tee, but not with irons. Think I may be standing up through impact trying to get my hips tucked..
Watch the radius Bob with the arms and wrists. Sometimes it breaks down. Thanks again!
I thought center of swing or bottom of the swing arc is always between your feet in the middle of the stance or below the sternum never under left shoulder. What am I missing here?
The center of the arc is the front shoulder that’s how the radius is formed
Always great info, does my left shoulder have to pass my chin. Thanks Bat and Jess where is your school located ?
I am in Deerfield beach Florida and I also do online lessons thanks!
How does releasing hands early widen the bottom of the arc????
The handle forward creates the bottom of the arc more forward than if you were to release your hands behind the ball.
What is the P3-P9? Do you have a video explaining that?
Yes I have the p’s described in a video
Loving your videos Jess thank you so much. Swinging from P3 to P9 how much distance would you expect to lose on say an 8 iron if a full swing would be 150 yards?
Yes, approximately 150 yards. I have hit 8 irons farther and shorter with p3-p9 swings.

Thank you for the nice comment:) Keep your right wrist bent back slightly this will keep the handle forward
@@JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton So If I'm understanding this, I should maintain the right wrist bent back slightly on the downswing? Thanks!
roll62 yes sir!

You might have too much internal rotation of the shoulder or set up. Try tucking your right elbow under and too your stomach at address thanks!

Love your vids Jess. Re hands forward - how far forward? Edge of thigh, middle of thigh or is it variable? ie what works best for you?
Hey Michael! It’s Variable but standard is hands just inside the left leg or lead leg
@@JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton Cheers Jess. Much appreciated😊
I thought it was p3 to p8, not 9 (previous video)???
You can do 3-8 or 3-9
8
