So despite this being the longest video I ever uploaded on this channel, I actually intended for this video to be quite a bit longer. However, I had to cut it down a bit because of YT’s copyright system. Whatever thoughts I wanted to put in here will be in the next video which should come out in a few days hopefully.
The whole "social media makes Molly happy" gag sadly makes a ton of sense. People in my school can not go a single day without going on TikTok or UA-cam. They make the most stupid references, do TikTok dances in class, and just watch it on their phone or computer while we're learning a lesson.
RIGHT?? Like last year I tried having a conversation with a junior during my free period, and she just spent the whole freaking time doing TikTok dances with her two girlfriends. It’s like socializing was outlawed 😂
I LOVED THIS FINALE!! I wish this show got a 3rd season to do a lot more like it did in season 2, but it still closed it off in an emotional and satisfying way.
This cartoon deserved way better! 😭 it's sad that we might not get a third season, this finale was super emotional and kind of hit me in the feels with how many loved ones have left my life in the past, this show deserves to be remembered for its message, it's wholesome writing, as well as it's witty humour
What got me was what Libby quoted from Maya Angelou " What is a fear of living? It's being afraid of dying, it is not doing what you came to do out of not taking risks or being timid or spinelessness. The antidote is to take responsibility for yourself ( keyword yourself), for the time you take up and the space you occupy. If you don't know what you're here for, then just do some good". This is basically what I was thinking about.😊
Knowing that it was cancled makes more sense for why some of this season felt disconnected. I'm sad to see it go, I enjoyed it a lot but I'd like to think that Molly and Todd(Stratch) will be able to be friends again
The Creators did say they could do a season 3 one, IF Disney is OK with it. So the chances for that happening depends on spreading the word on how good this show is and watching it on Disney Plus to a huge amount
You know there is one realy bittersweet thought i kept thinking of after watching The End... No matter what... eventually Molly and Scratch will meet again... It may be awhile but... i get the feelings he'll end up being there for her when she passes on after he himself passes
The finale was so heartbreaking 😭😭 and as someone who's not a huge part of the online fandom I hadn't even heard the theory that scratch was a wraith beforehand, it was a total shock. I'm really sad it got cancelled (I thought Disney would have learned from cancelling toh and then having it be really successful) but nonetheless it was a really well done ending and tied everything together
I think Scratch remembers Molly and everyone else but he knew it was time to move on and so pretended not to remember them not only as one final trick but also so he wouldn’t feel the need to stay but he couldn’t leave Molly without just a little hint
This show can still get renewed for a Season 3. Scratch and Molly are no longer together; however, season 3 can be Geoff or a new ghost as the title of the show is "THE GHOST and Molly McGee" and not "SCRATCH and Molly McGee".
Hard to believe that after 2 Seasons the show is over I'm going to miss The Ghost and Molly McGee it was a wild ride of Sweet Charming and funny Disney Cartoon and it did had a satisfying bitter sweet ending but it was a happy ending at that even though I'd do think the finale was a tad rush and I'd think the Whole Jinx Vs The Human World could have been strecthed out to a three part finale instead of one whole episode but at least The End had a satisfying and emotional ending but this this show is just as Great and will remembered it along with Gravity Falls Amphibia and The Owl House
I would have to agree with the disappointment of No Andrea, Not getting to see who the rob chose, not having the Ghost Frieds , who were most of the trailer, do any thing. I like how the ending answered questions. I don't like that the fans were right about Todd being Scratch , but if that's what the show writers want, they did it well. It had an important message. Who had the best ending? is a question for an other time and very subjective. So many shows to look at. Some fans that I run with have been discussing "What would season 3 look like?" Continue the story with Just Molly? Add a new Ghost to be her friend? Have Molly be friends with lots of ghosts? Have Todd remember Molly and resume a friendship with her? Show how Todd doesn't remember Molly but still carries some of her with him? Have Todd and Scratch take turns being in charge and they swap forms back and forth? Do a time skip and a continuation? Kill Todd off and return Scratch? One thing I am certain of is that some day, Molly McGee, Owl House, Amphibia, Gravity Falls, and all the rest will come back in SOME form, maybe even more then once. Not just in the Chibi shorts and cameos but also in movies, revivals, reboots, live action remakes, books, comics, video games, a between episodes special , prequel, in universe spin-off , there are lots of ways to bring it back and I would love to see a video discussing best and worst ways to bring back a series. How Molly McGee and Owl House can learn from Avatar TLA, Duck Tales, Kim Possible, TMNT, Batman, Magic School Bus, Ghostbusters, MLP, Star Trek, Star Wars, Spider-Man and many, many, many others.
As a kid born after 2007 I don’t see it like that at all. I saw it as Molly swing a cute video and not stereotypical. Also now we’re not all like this I’ve barley been on my phone since I’ve been outside with my friends all day in the snow
honestly, when I watched the finale I thought that a few parts were fast-paced and cringy, but when I found out that the third season was cancelled I understood the struggle that bill and Bob went to (just like the owl house situation) I can’t believe the show already ended 😭
Honestly this ending was terrific And good it made me cry at the final one I was literally crying. Like no joke. I was in tears while seeing the final one and it felt good
Personally, I think that the ghost and Molly McGee series ended too soon. However, its series finale was a great way to end the series. While the battle with Jinx was good and provided the Chen family with a proper conclusion to their overall character arcs, it just further showed how pointless the Chairman was, and we won't know who the next Chairman is going to be. Not to mention that I ended up enjoying the series finale more than the final Jinx episode. The series finale did confirm that Scratch is the wraith of Todd. Scratch's backstory as Todd really made him more likable and relatable. It was sad and heartfelt to see Scratch go back to living his life as Todd and ultimately saying goodbye to Molly as he leaves Brighton to live out his life in a more fulfilling way. I will miss this series, and I honestly wish there were more episodes, especially ones that featured Andrea and her friendship with Molly and Libby.
@RYANMENARD-lu8qq IK Imagine the poor souls who watch the episodes and not check up on any social media for it. They’ll think season 3 is coming in a year or two and will never come until they fricking Google it.
Amphibia still has the better overall finale imo for the longer runtime, higher stakes, and more complete story (although that's because Amphibia was lucky enough to have a full season 3). But when it comes to executing the feelings of bittersweetness, I'm still kind of torn which finale executed it better. I'm leaning towards TGAMM at the moment, but it is somewhat difficult to explain why right now. Guess I'll save that in the next part of this review lol
I was hoping for a Series Review of this show now that the show is over. As you know, there may be a prequel television film regarding Scratch's origins by Disney Channel Original Movie and Disney+ Original with a few Disney nods in it.
This ending really struck a cord with, the same with several of my friends. Especially Scratch's song. It really resonated with all of us. very true to life: we all have dreams but most of us never make them. Sometimes life won't allow it. But sometimes we're too scared of life to try it.
Enjoyed your thoughtful review for two final TGaMM episodes. Especially when you're analyzing the final one involving the main plot point of the whole series. I thought it's lighter version of Amphibia finale since it opens up more possibilities for reunion, but I think you made a valid point; on one hand, TGaMM left a more visible room to imagine the possible reunions, but on the other hand, Amphibia didn't erase people's memories about each other's side. Depending on the point of view, TGaMM could be more emotional and bittersweet than what Amphibia did. It was a good review, and I certainly thumbs up for what you said. Thanks for bringing me to this!
the end was actually based off of a movie bill saw as a child. Where this caterpillar didn't have any friends at all, until he met 3 animals who would love and take care of him throughout his life. But like most bittersweet things they must come to an end. Because after the caterpillar came out of his cocoon phase he became a different person who sadly didn't remember the 3 friends who loved and took care of him in the beginning.
100% honestly i never watch this show i've seen the long promo of the first episode and then the finally i just didn't care to seek out this show but i still love the finally
Maybe the Ghost and Molly McGee may come back in the future. Right? Also I'm gonna miss those two and their amazing adventures with friends, family, and/or each other.
I really didn't expect this kind of bittersweet ending. We see evidence that Scratch's memories aren't totally gone, but they don't seem to be coming back in any meaningful way. And they could've softened the blow if they wanted to. Even if they didn't go all the way and show him getting his memories back like in Gravity Falls, they could've still done something like have one of those pictures in the end credits show him back in Brighton or meeting Molly and her family again. I sort of respect them for not pulling their punches, but it still makes me sad. I mean the McGees in particularly were less friends, and more of a found family for Scratch. Leaving family behind is sad enough, but losing your memories of them is an even more somber concept. Honestly I think if it was me I would've stayed a wraith rather than risk that. But I can see why that isn't really a good conclusion to come to either. I'd like to think the Chairman's Cloak is actually following Scratch around on all these adventures, waiting for him to croak for real. I feel like the version of Scratch that has lived a full and happy life before dying is exactly the kind of ghost that would be worthy of that power. I also feel like when he dies he will have his full memories from both his life and his time as a wraith. I can't really tell if this is a happy or dark head canon since it boils down to me basically hoping for Scratch's death...
i got over 3 minutes into this video before realising disney plus germany doesnt have episode 8 through 21 yet???? i was SO confused when i saw the ending on youtube cuz i thought "how did i miss this?" but apperantly disney just played me lmao
I’m sad that there’s no more Molly McGee content after the season 2 ending it should deserves to go more because of the shows that came out in 2020’s this is the one I love the most.
If I had to sift threw endings (spoilers ahead) Todd not remembering Molly is the ending I wish we had for Stan Pines after he defeated Bill Gravity Falls left things open to more adventures Next summer and left every one happy and we know these characters can come back. "Time Adventure" will never make me not cry Adventure Time and Steven Universe both continued beyond there endings in episodes I did not see yet because I don't have access to them Avatar TLA was a fin wrap every thing up ending followed by a series that kept going after its end and ended on a "Wrap things up , slip in a gay kiss, hope no one saw a gay kiss and lose the series before parents get mad over the gay" ending Duck Tales ended with each group landing with there friends and feels like the adventure will never end. And still never got the spin-off we are still waiting for, Gargoyles had more then one ending depending on if you count Chronicles or not and was OK but also kind of not Kim Possible gave Draken and Shego a chance at redemption and sent the heroes off to the Sunset where we know that won't be the end. Aladin got a great ending in the form of a movie with every one happy. Star Vs killed off a bunch of characters, said good bye but not really good bye and the over all solution Star chose ultimately did not solve her problem it just made her life harder. and has become a metaphor for the IRL Gun control debate. Amphibia said good by forever to our characters after almost killing a few off but it could maybe still continue if we really wanted to. Owl House presents us with ideas that would be fun to explore as the story never really ended. Life goes on and some day we can take a deeper look at that new normal. TMNT had a descent ending followed by multiple maybe canon maybe not canon farther endings possibly shown out of order. Any cartoon series that also had a movie, the two ignored each other with no impact on each other. Glitch Techs Cliff hung us with no satisfaction She-Ra made us wish that the time skip illusion had actually been real. Ghost and Molly McGee , in an odd way was a main character death. But it was ok because he was actually back to life. Batman Beyond 's Epilogue was aired on a whole other series and it was one of the best episodes of said series. ALF cliff hung us then years latter resolved its issues with non of the returning cast. Star Trek TNG and VOY had solid endings. DS9 a little sadder and Ent a bit rushed. Then years later Picard and other shows tied up the loose ends and revised the adventure. Star Wars did things that baffled us and could be better but which was not out side of what was possible for that world. Danny Phantom, I think had a solid ending though some fans disagree I consider Fairy Odd Parents Canon ending to be the live action movies. I ignore any thing after a certain point. Hilda ended with the gate open for more story but it was full of moments you'll catch in the background to satisfy your questions. Epic Mickey 2's ending was ruined by a canceled 3rd game and too much emphasis on Voice acting. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet was satisfying and enjoyable and worth the money Pokémon the series gave us the ending we always wanted and teased us with questions that never get answered and added in a movie passing for an episode to add to the confusion. Multiple shows had the "It was just a dream " ending which works the 1st two times you do it and then feels cheep when you do it again. other shows killed off or wrote off there best characters and dropped the ball after having a good end last season . Shows should never be afraid to kill a character but they also should learn when to stay ended. Futurama had multiple endings and I still have not seen all of them but when it gets revived they always make a clever joke to keep things moving forward. Shows that end, come back and keep going and end and come back again always leave me feeling that a middle season was a better end then the actual end. Some shows keep going and don't get an end. When we see a show end we always want more and when we get more it can please us as well as upset us. Hey Arnold got its long demanded ending with a great pay off but also nothing new came of it so far. If the Jungle Movie is the end its far better then where it was till then. But if we do get that new series I hope its good. Time skips make for a nice wrap up. But if you do them too often you leave people feeling the plot holes of characters who enter from off screen unexplained. Quantum Leap was a little sad and kind of broke my brain but at the same time happy in a way. King of the Hill was a real good ending and if it ever comes back I wonder how? I can see ways. But its easy to drop the ball. Some shows feel tailers to just keep going and never actually end. In a slice of life show I hope to see the youngest child grow in to a parent before we truly end. Its nice to check back once and a while. its not the age of a young character that makes the show, its the journey that character goes on. We like to see them grow and learn and change. But not change so much they become a brooding emo. remember age or popularity is not an excuse for poor behavior. Some times people hate you because you're a jerk not for any other reason. I think what would TRULLY be sad for Molly would be losing access to ghosts and the ghost world all together. Ending the series and never answering the question of Scratch's origin. We could have kept scratch, avoided the Waith bit. Had him be Todd but have Todd die before Scratch returns to the body. Let Molly and Scratch stay together. But that sort of ending misses the point of the lesson. To Kill Todd off now doesn't undo that lesson but it does undo a chance to learn from it. To successfully continue Molly's story it has to be with out Scratch. Molly McGee or Todd could come back in a series with out each other or they could come back in a "between" episodes middle flash back time line. But to Kill Todd off in the same year he came back to life would be too sad. I feel he deserves to live his life. Reunite with Molly when Molly Out lives Todd and Todd dies of old age. Or reunite them when both have died for some reason. Making Todd in to a sport of Danny Phantom who travels between two forms would be kind of weird.
This was the last Disney thing left I cared for. Aside of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur (which doesn't interests due to the artstyle... aaaaand it's also at big risk of cancellation/shortening too) all the current shows are total trash. Disney has nothing left of quality, now it's only a soulless and greedy company....
There’s not really a concrete time period that distinguishes generations in general. Distinguishing between generations has always been arbitrary and mostly subjective. You can argue that the generation does start in 2012 sure. But for me, I set the time period for Gen Alpha at 2007 onward because that’s when smartphones started to become more and more dominant in people lives, and people born after that year never really grew up without having instant access to the internet via a mobile device.
@@MarngelRambles I'd just go with a different term, like "Post-smartphone kid." I daresay the observation that she never knew a world without smartphones is altogether more important than her generation in this context. And ultimately, I think you're right that its the biggest factor here
I'd just have this on tv on the background and it was only today I realized it was ending, i've thought this was a pretty good show from what i've saw. It's sad Disney's ending such good shows early
Actually what got my attention from the episode "The End", was what Libby quoted from Maya Angelou. I never heard of this lady until I saw the episode and then I discovered there were books of her life and what all she did. After the episode I started doing research on Maya all the way until her death in 2014 ten years ago.
Will miss the ghost and Molly McGee. It was a great series yes, jinx versus the human realm was supposed to be the season two finale the season three series finale was supposed to be scratch, regaining his memory and going into Todd’s body which is his body.
Honestly I didn’t rly get the reference initially to Molly just being a phone addict, I just thought it was more her seeing something cute and not being able to resist, with the phone being the way for her to view the image or video. It makes sense when viewed like that too, though
4:46 Sorry but It feels like you're looking for something wrong with something that isn't a problem. It doesn't feel like a stereotype at all when I saw it. It's in character with Molly and I thought it was a solid joke. 8:45 you're wrong. There actually was buildup to this episode but barely. In the end of Jinx, she did state that she's not done and will make Scratch pay for what she did with the Chairman.
Again, that specific joke was fine given the context. But that kind of joke where kids nowadays are glued to their phones or tablets and have no idea how older technology works sort of depresses me. Maybe I'm overthinking sure. But I've always had mixed feelings about it and I just wanted to get that out there. Regardless, I will admit this a relatively minor nitpick compared to the other criticisms I have for this episode and the series
Fair enough. I still disagree but I can see where your coming from. I will say that Jinx vs. the human world was badly rushed but it was still a solid episode regardless. But man it was overshadowed by The End. That said The End is a perfect episode and a perfect way to end it. I'm also glad that the show didn't get a time skip ending and made the fate of those characters open ended Maybe it's just me but I got burned out by time skip endings after Amphibia and The Owl House.
Well on the bright side Andrea is not one of the queer characters so that's fine and Darryl could have her that.would be perfect and she could have joined the ghost friends
So despite this being the longest video I ever uploaded on this channel, I actually intended for this video to be quite a bit longer. However, I had to cut it down a bit because of YT’s copyright system. Whatever thoughts I wanted to put in here will be in the next video which should come out in a few days hopefully.
That is all right and I love the last 2 episodes of the ghost and molly mcgee!

villain songs are best songs

i got over 3 minutes into this video before realising disney plus germany doesnt have episode 8 through 21 yet???? i was SO confused when i saw the ending on youtube cuz i thought "how did i miss this?" but apperantly disney just played me lmao
I’m sad that there’s no more Molly McGee content after the season 2 ending it should deserves to go more because of the shows that came out in 2020’s this is the one I love the most.
If I had to sift threw endings (spoilers ahead)
Todd not remembering Molly is the ending I wish we had for Stan Pines after he defeated Bill
Gravity Falls left things open to more adventures Next summer and left every one happy and we know these characters can come back.
"Time Adventure" will never make me not cry
Adventure Time and Steven Universe both continued beyond there endings in episodes I did not see yet because I don't have access to them
Avatar TLA was a fin wrap every thing up ending followed by a series that kept going after its end and ended on a "Wrap things up , slip in a gay kiss, hope no one saw a gay kiss and lose the series before parents get mad over the gay" ending
Duck Tales ended with each group landing with there friends and feels like the adventure will never end. And still never got the spin-off we are still waiting for,
Gargoyles had more then one ending depending on if you count Chronicles or not and was OK but also kind of not
Kim Possible gave Draken and Shego a chance at redemption and sent the heroes off to the Sunset where we know that won't be the end.
Glitch Techs Cliff hung us with no satisfaction
She-Ra made us wish that the time skip illusion had actually been real.
Danny Phantom, I think had a solid ending though some fans disagree
I consider Fairy Odd Parents Canon ending to be the live action movies. I ignore any thing after a certain point.
Hilda ended with the gate open for more story but it was full of moments you'll catch in the background to satisfy your questions.
Epic Mickey 2's ending was ruined by a canceled 3rd game and too much emphasis on Voice acting.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet was satisfying and enjoyable and worth the money
Pokémon the series gave us the ending we always wanted and teased us with questions that never get answered and added in a movie passing for an episode to add to the confusion.
It's still has some cliffhangers they can make a comeback with a timeskip
This was the last Disney thing left I cared for. Aside of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur (which doesn't interests due to the artstyle... aaaaand it's also at big risk of cancellation/shortening too) all the current shows are total trash. Disney has nothing left of quality, now it's only a soulless and greedy company....
Quick correction: molly is gen z not alpha. Gen z is between 1997 and 2012, so if the show is set in 2021 she should be born in 2008
There’s not really a concrete time period that distinguishes generations in general.
@@MarngelRambles
I'd just go with a different term, like "Post-smartphone kid."
I daresay the observation that she never knew a world without smartphones is altogether more important than her generation in this context.
Bookworm authenticity. Its the little things that elevate this show.
Will miss the ghost and Molly McGee. It was a great series yes, jinx versus the human realm was supposed to be the season two finale the season three series finale was supposed to be scratch, regaining his memory and going into Todd’s body which is his body.
But Don’t worry Everyone!! I’m starting a Petition so The Show will Return with Season 3!!☺️☺️😊😊
Petitions never work.
It get a spin-off
🕛 🕛-5:29-9:00-18:00! I ❤️love both 🤖 of these tv 📺 series episodes!
Honestly I didn’t rly get the reference initially to Molly just being a phone addict, I just thought it was more her seeing something cute and not being able to resist, with the phone being the way for her to view the image or video. It makes sense when viewed like that too, though
i feel like the amphibia finale is more sad its just that the tgamm finale was more shocking
It’s like Weirdmageddon.
I thought Jinx would be the one to scare Ruben into hating ghosts.
I'm gonna be honest, while I did enjoy both episodes for the finale, I don't think they're as good as Amphibia and The Owl House's finales.
This show could have gone on for longer.
But the finale hit hard. I felt more watching it then I did any movie Disney has put out recently.
I'm also glad that the show didn't get a time skip ending and made the fate of those characters open ended
Maybe it's just me but I got burned out by time skip endings after Amphibia and The Owl House.
"I wonder where ive seen that before" was for amphibia AND gravity falls
0:00-8:21-18:38 sadly will there be no new tv episodes !👍😂🕛😱📺
They essentially killed pf scratvj by revovong him!😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
🕛 0:00-7:15-18:38!
Every kid born after 2007 is in fact like this (just in a less cartoony fashion)
This is not good-bye. Only see you later.
I sad this ended 😭😨😰😥😪😫
This show brought happiness to my life and I will never forget it 🩵🥹
Yes
FR disney piss me off they ruin gravity falls then The owl house and now this
Theory:molly McGee is sonic the hedgehog
12:00-18:38!📺👍😱😂😂
I don’t have social media.
Why was it cancelled it was going great.
Well on the bright side Andrea is not one of the queer characters so that's fine and Darryl could have her that.would be perfect and she could have joined the ghost friends
I hate the finale for the show my extension of disbelief can only take so much
Just barely genZ 😮💨
this is the best series ever, thanks for everything Ghost and Molly McGee🥲💓🙏💯🫂
too bad this show got "Dead Ended", as I call it
so yeah we were right
4 comment on my favorite yotuber video : ) NICE
Seeing this video Is giving me more reasons to unsubcribe to disney
Season 2 kinda sucked, so I'm not surprised
I’m glad it finally over....
